Divine Justice Satisfied 3

Sinful man is a condemned criminal in God's sight, his only right is to be damned, and to justly suffer the due reward of his sins. There always lies some form of secret love for sin at the bottom of every man's unbelief and impenitence. If you live and die impenitent, you will perish in your sins. Some men are damned because of the fear of man; they are afraid they will lose face with sinful man and be despised as a Christian. Many men go to Hell because of their self-righteous pride; they want to have a part of the glory in their Salvation. Men would rather die and go to Hell than give up their sinning. You have sinned yourself into eternal ruin.

But how can I be freed from the punishment due to my sins? God is just and holy, He must punish your sins. It is impossible for the Judge of all the earth to allow such a rebel as you to escape and go scot free. But Jesus came to rescue you from your inevitable doom. Sin must be punished, but there's no need that your sins should be punished in your person. The stern laws of divine justice demand that human sin be met with satisfaction, but Christ has laid down His life and offered up perfect satisfaction for you. Christ was punished in your place, He bore your sins is His own body, and the whole weight of divine wrath fell on Him. If you believe in Jesus, you can never be punished, no charge can be made against you. Your sins were laid on Christ, and He was punished for them instead of you. If you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, no punishment can ever be exacted from you, for Jesus has already suffered it all for you. Jesus stepped in between God's avenging justice and the guilty sinner, and the sinner is graciously spared for Jesus' sake. Your trust must be placed simply in the innocent Blood shed upon Calvary.

Divine Justice was satisfied when Jesus paid out His soul to death on Calvary's Cross. The Christian can look at the thundering Law and avenging divine justice with calmness, for he is safe beneath the Blood of the Cross. The Law threatens vengeance, Justice demands punishment. The demands of justice are met only through the punishment laid upon the innocent Substitute. Jesus' Blood paid the debt due to Divine Justice, and gave to the Law its fulfillment, and to divine wrath its perfect satisfaction. Come now to the Cross and find refuge from God's vengeance. Jesus' bloody death has satisfied God's divine vengeance to the full. Through Jesus' blood my sins have been taken away. I no longer dread God's wrath, for His vengeance smote the Savior's head, and divine justice demands no more, for Jesus paid the deadly penalty.

What must I do to be saved? Mankind is still asking this question today. This is the most important question in the whole world. What does it mean to believe? The word Believe in The New Testament Scriptures means to place your trust in the Cross-work of Jesus Christ as sufficient to save you from divine justice. This is not hope so, or think so, or I will give it my best shot. *I John 5:12* No, this is know so Salvation. *John 3:16* You were born into the wrong family, the family of Adam. *Romans 5:12* Adam was a criminal and he was given the sentence of death. You will surely die, because you have sinned. Your sin has brought a curse and guilt upon your soul. You have to be born out of Adam's family and into God's family by the New Birth (John 3:7). Religious jargon, works, and ceremonies only lead people farther away from God. Ye must be born again, born from above by the Holy Ghost. Without Christ ye can do nothing. Salvation is not a process, it is a miracle. Depend exclusively on the Blood and Grace of Jesus Christ. Jesus, the Incarnate Creator, made the exclusive claim that He is the only way of God. *John 14:6* This is offensive nature of Christianity. This is the offense of the Cross. If Jesus is the only way, then any other is the way to Hell. Men never treat any other truth or science like they treat spiritual truth. *Acts 4:12*

Every person of the human race is perishing and is in need of a Savior from sin. They don't treat Mathematics that way, but they will treat Salvation from sin flippantly. Salvation is a instantaneous transaction once and for all between the sinner and the Mediator, Jesus Christ. There's no human remedy for sin. Human nature and religion will not admit that Salvation is absolutely free, because Jesus Christ has paid the full penalty of human by laying down His life and shedding His blood for sinners. Renounce all thoughts of any good thing about you, and simply look to the suffering, bleeding, dying Lamb of God. You cannot work your way to God's acceptance. Today, God offers to you eternal life freely for Jesus' sake.

I am justified freely from all things now for Jesus' sake. Jesus stood as the Sin-Bearer, the Substitute was accepted by divine justice to bear our penalty, so we would never bear God's divine wrath. Jesus satisfied justice and rescued me from eternal destruction. You can never satisfy divine justice with your religious nonsense. You can never take away the anger of God against you for your sins. There is but one way of safety, and that is the way of faith in His Blood. *Acts 16:31* Don't just think about it, or pray about it, or read about it, or hope about it, just come on to Jesus just as you are, right now. Let's keep it simple and plain - Believe on Jesus, that is, trust the Savior's wounds and blood, trusting only there you are safe for evermore. Jesus must save you by His pure grace from God divine justice and from your love for sin. God has exacting justice with rigid severity.

Jesus was holy and pure, innocent in His life, perfect in His character, guileless in His heart; our sins were laid upon Jesus who had no sin. God showed His hatred for sin at the cross of Christ. God's infinite mercy devised a perfect plan by which divine justice could be satisfied. Jesus Christ took upon Himself the form of man, and offered unto divine justice that which was accepted for the punishment due to the sinner. Truly the Cross has satisfied God's righteous demands. Let your conscience rest on the Cross. Christ suffered in my place. Justice can ask no more. Trust Christ Jesus with your soul. Rest your soul's destiny on Christ. God has made Jesus to be the sin-offering for you.
