Divine Justice Satisfied 1

God manifest in the flesh, Jesus of Nazareth, was crucified for sinners to satisfy divine justice. The Savior was crushed under divine justice, so we could escape the consequences due to our sins. Christ Jesus satisfied Justice forever. I am now justified by His Blood, I cannot be condemned, because He was condemned in my place. *Romans 5:9*  Jesus has suffered the punishment for my sins in my place. I stand in Christ's place, Christ stands in mine. I deserve punishment, but Christ died for sinners. My Ransom died in my place. He has cancelled my sin debt forever. I am now free from eternal punishment. Hallelujah!

Justice has been fully satisfied on my behalf by the sufferings of the Lamb of God. Turn your eye to Calvary's Cross, see the Victim of divine justice suffering because of your sins. The Sacrifice of Blood Atonement for your transgressions is finished. Let His blood purchase your soul. Jesus suffered the actual penalty that was due to us. You are circling the drain, life is so short, but Eternity is forever. The Law demands a perfect Righteousness. The Divine Law cannot find fault with Christ. Jesus is the sinner's Substitute.

Jesus has kept all the commandments for us. He never violated the Law. Justice cannot find fault with me for Christ has put His robe of Righteousness on me. *Zechariah 3:4* He washed me in His Blood. *Revelation 1:5* He cleansed me from all sin. *I John 1:7* All my sordid past is gone. As for my penalty, Jesus bore it Himself. He bore the wrath of God that I should have suffered. He endured the agonies I ought to have received.  Jesus took upon Himself all your evil and guilt, so you can put on all His Righteousness.  Jesus made a complete Atonement for me, and now there is no need for me to die and atone for my guilt. *Romans 5:11*

Jesus completed the perfect Righteousness required by God's holiness. God says, "Loose the prisoner, let him go. My divine justice is satisfied by a Substitute. My Law requires no more satisfaction, divine vengeance has had its due, let him go." Human nature is obscene and vulgar; it loves to sin. You owe much to divine justice, payday is coming, you have run up a score of black sins against your Maker. Ye are condemned already; your name is written in the black book of divine justice. The whole roll of your debts to God shall be opened at the judgment of they great day, and only Christ's Blood can give you a discharge. But Jesus took your punishment, and bore the wrath you ought to have received, He took the guilt you committed. You may evade human justice, but not divine justice. The sinner who puts his trust in Christ's Substitution can escape the eternal punishment he deserves. Jesus can save you, because he did not save Himself. He can save you, because He took your guilt and endured your punishment.

There is no way of salvation apart from the satisfaction of divine justice. Either the sinner must die, or else Someone must die for him. Human nature scorns at God's divine justice and ignores it. You can be sure, that God is not mocked. *Galatians 6:7* The Atonement has been wholly made; Justice has been entirely satisfied. Jesus paid the sinner's doom; He died the sinner's death. My guilt is imputed to Him; His Righteousness is charged to my account. Christ freely paid my debts for me. Agree with thy Creditor quickly, whilst thou are in the way with Him, lest He deliver thee to the Judge, and the Judge deliver thee to the officer to cast thee into prison. *Matthew 5:25; Luke 12:58* Your sins will never be remitted without satisfaction. The God of the Bible can never allow sin to go unpunished, for He is just and holy. God has freely forgiven all my sins for Jesus' sake.

No man is his right mind can imagine a God without justice. God must be just, and all sin must be punished. The worldling knows there is a God, but he thinks the LORD is a little god. The worldling scarcely ever thinks of the divine justice of God, for these thoughts trouble him. The convinced sinner thinks God's justice is like the stars of the sky, he cannot attain unto it or satisfy it. He says, "Justice should punish me. I am so great a sinner. God is just, and His anger and wrath troubles me." The worldling thinks sin is a joking matter.

God never forgives sin until He has first punished it, and if He forgives anyone, it is only because He has punished Christ first on behalf of that person. God never forgives without first exacting the punishment of sin. The worldling has lax ideas of divine justice. The wrath of divine justice is only atoned by the bleeding Sufferer on the tree. I deserve to die an eternal death, divine justice demands that I should perish, but Jesus paid all the sinner owes. Without the shedding of innocent blood, nothing can appease God's divine justice. You can be clean, free and justified by God's Blood.

The Law (the commandment) must first come to manifest to a man his guilt, to show him how guilty he is, how vile, how ruined he is, and in how dangerous a position he is in. *Romans 7:8-9* Human nature says, "I will try to do better, and then mercy will be given to me." Your perfect obedience to the Law in the future is impossible. The Law says, "Unless you perfectly obey Me, you cannot be saved by your doings." The slightest transgression of the Law even in thought will spoil your whole obedience. You must have a spotless garment to wear into heaven. Your doings and resolves are of no use whatsoever in the matter of Salvation. Death is after you, divine justice pursues you; Christ Crucified is the only thing that can save you. You have broken the great commands of God, and in consequence, the just God is bound in justice to punish you for the sins you have committed. You have broken the divine law, and are now subject to divine justice and wrath, and stand in need of divine mercy.

Salvation means to escape from the punishment of sins committed, and to escape from the habits and love of sin. All your past sins must have vengeance and recompense. Your sin, unbelief and rejection of Christ have stirred up the wrath of God. *John 3:36* You are in grave danger outside of Christ. God is just, and the way of Salvation is the great plan of satisfying divine justice through Christ's sufferings and blood. The God of inflexible justice requires Blood. The God of the Bible is inflexibly severe in His justice, and will by no means clear the guilty. You are in debt to God's justice, you owe much to God's eternal vengeance, wrath and punishment. In your natural state, you are in grave danger. Your sins deserve the infinite eternal wrath and displeasure of God. Ungodly men defy the justice of God, that it is unjust that God should condemn men for the use of the powers which God Himself has given them. God's justice is vindicated and the guilty sinner pardoned freely through the precious atoning blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Only Christ's Precious Blood can vindicate divine justice. To vindicate means to clear from guilt, accusation, blame; to exonerate from an accusation; to absolve, acquit, free from blame, to guard from danger. *Romans 5:9* JEHOVAH will take the balances of justice and put His divine Law into one scale, and He will put you in the other. Unless Christ is in you, you will be weighed in the balances and found wanting. Your sin debt is huge and immense, but Jesus paid all that you owed, and there is not a penny due to the justice of God in the way of punishment. We do owe God much gratitude and love, but we owe nothing to His justice.

Jesus Christ has offered an all-sufficient satisfaction for all the claims of God's injured justice. God is sternly just and inflexibly severe in His dealings with sinful mankind. Man thinks so little of his sin. Either you must satisfy God's retribution, or Christ must. For man's sins, God demands eternal punishment. If you die in your sins, you will forever pay your debt to divine justice in the lake of fire and brimstone. As soon as you die in your sins, you will be summoned to God's bar of divine justice.

Whosoever believeth in Jesus is entirely justified from all guilt, and set free from all punishment, through what Jesus has done. You could never offer an Atonement that can satisfy God's justice. Give up all confidence in yourself immediately. Trust to the Gospel. The blood of Jesus Christ enabled God to vindicate His justice, and yet have mercy upon the ungodly. I am free from every demand of God's vengeance only because of Jesus' finished work on Calvary's tree.  Justice damns a man, but divine mercy and free grace saves.

You have sinned, God must punish you, for He is a God of justice. God is absolutely just, and His justice cannot endure a sin. The Holy Ghost brings conviction, guilt and alarm of the inevitable consequences of your sin. The guilty soul is afraid of God. But God in His infinite mercy has devised a way where He can have mercy upon the guilty and undeserving. Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, descended from heaven, begotten of the Holy Ghost, born of the Jewish virgin Mary, and lived a life of holiness, reproach, and suffering. At the end of His short life, He offered up Himself as a sinless Sacrifice for our sins - the Just for the unjust to bring us to God.

The plan of Salvation simply declared - Whosoever believeth in the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved. You have violated God's law, disdained His mercy, and dared His vengeance. But whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Whosoever cometh unto Him, He will in no wise case out. *Hebrews 7:24-25* Simply look to the bleeding, suffering, dying Son of God, trust your soul in the hands of Jesus Christ. *Acts 16:31* Trust Jesus' Precious Blood, renounce your works, set your heart alone on the Mediator, who gave Himself for sinners. *Soli Autem Crucis*
