Seek *Him*

But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

Seek the Lord and His strength, seek His face continually.  Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God. For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments. And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee: for Thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.

The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek Him: your heart shall live for ever. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read. Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the Rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.

Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near. Why seek ye the living among the dead?  Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto Him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid Him, and I will take Him away. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till He come and rain righteousness upon you.  Seek Him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is His name.

Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you.  Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger.

When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither His disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things He hath done for you.

Some Probing Questions for Religionists

Here are a few probing questions you might want to use when disputing (Acts 6:9; 9:29; 17:17; 19:8-9) with religionists:

* How good does a man have to be to satisfy JEHOVAH'S Divine Justice?
Am I truly born again of the Spirit of God? Is my conversion a fake or a Reality? Am I led by the indwelling, purifying, quickening power of the Holy Spirit? Or is my experience just some religious show and human reformation? Am I still in my sins, in my natural unregenerate state? Do I truly love Christ, or is it only a vain pretense? Do I heartily serve and glorify Him? Do I hate and fight against my secret sins? Does the love of Christ actually constrain me from going my own way?
* Have you grieved the Holy Spirit today?

* How can a Soul dead in his sins accomplish his own quickening?
* Has JESUS ever raised your Soul from dead? If He has, then you had nothing to do with it, just ask Lazarus.

* Have been born of the Spirit of God? Was there ever a day when you passed from death to life, or are you presently abiding in death? Have you the witness in yourself that you have been operated upon by the Spirit of God? Do you have an inward craving and a longing for the Spirit of God? Is a Tenant now residing within your heart which sighs and yearns for New Jerusalem, Emmanuel's Land?
* Are you trying to prop up the Cross, the Finished Work of The Lord Jesus Christ, with your good works?
* Is your faith genuinely rooted in Jesus' Precious Blood?  Romans 3:25
* Have you come to your wit's end?
* Can your works (good deeds) help cancel your guilt or atone for your sins?

* How will your deeds appear in the light of God's judgment, and how will they weigh in the infallible balances of His unerring divine justice?
* Have you abandoned your self-righteousness, and rested in Jesus only?
* Are you trying to invent your own way to Heaven? Joseph Smith did this, and he ended up in Hell.
* If you die in your sleep tonight, will you wind up in Heaven or Hell?
* Has the Holy Spirit caused to feel the burden of your sins? Have you taken your sin burden to the Cross and been forgiven freely by the Lamb of God?
* Are you so foolish that you think that you can help Jesus Christ save your sinful soul? It is like thinking you could help a heart surgeon complete your triple bypass surgery.  Christ Jesus alone must create in you a clean heart; you or your religion can never do that.
* Have you taken Jesus Christ, God Incarnate, to be your soul's only confidence, and nothing else?
* Is there anything in you that can help save you?

* Have you set up your own righteousness in opposition to Christ's Righteousness?

* How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Jesus Christ?

The Lifeboat

We’re floating down the stream of time,
We have not long to stay;
The stormy clouds of darkness, will turn to brightest day.
Then let us all take courage, For we’re not left alone;
The Lifeboat soon is coming, To gather the jewels home.

Sometimes the devil tempts me, and says it’s all in vain,
To try to live the Christian life, and walk in Jesus’ name.
But then we hear the Master say, I’ll lend you a helping hand,
And if you’ll only trust Me, I’ll guide you to that land.

The lifeboat soon is coming, By the eye of faith I see,
As she sweeps through the waters, To rescue you and me.
And land us safely in the port, With friends we love so dear.
“Get ready,” cries the Captain; O look! She’s almost here.

O now’s the time to get on board, While she is passing by,
But if you stand and wait too long, You shall forever die;
The fair is paid for one and all, The Captain bids ya come,
And get on board the Lifeboat, She’ll carry you safely home.

Chorus:
Then cheer, my comrades cheer, Our trials will soon be o’er,
Our loved ones we will meet, will meet, upon the golden shore.
We’re pilgrims and were strangers here,
we’re seeking a city to come,
The Lifeboat soon is coming, To gather the jewels home.

God Saves Old Sinners

The drunk on the street, the rich in the palaces,
The poor and unlearned, and the man of degree.
They all have a soul in need of Salvation.
And they all have to come by Calvary.

Was I so bad, that I needed forgiveness?
And was I so wrong, I had to be redeemed?
Well, I wasn’t a thief,
Yet, I lived in sin’s prison,
So I was as lost, as a sinner could be.

Chorus:
I am so Glad, God saves old sinners.
I’m thrilled and amazed, How He sets them free,
But the biggest surprise in redeeming old sinners,
Is that He would save an old sinner like me.

Keep In Touch With Jesus

Would you be a victor, over every foe,
Conquer every trial in this old world below.
Overcome temptations, that each day you meet,
Keep in touch with Jesus, He will keep you sweet.

Many hearts are broken, often aching breast,
Waits the message spoken, that will give it sweet rest.
You perhaps can bring them, Joy and Peace complete,
Keep in touch with Jesus, He will keep you sweet.

Would you be a blessing, all along the way,
Would you be possessing, perfect love each day.
Just let the Holy Spirit, overcome defeat,
Keep in touch with Jesus, He will keep you sweet.

Keep in touch with Jesus, though the path be dim,
Let no cloud nor shadow sever you from Him,

Joy or sorrow greet you, friend or foe you meet,
Keep in touch with Jesus, He will keep you Sweet.

My meditation of Him shall be Sweet:

I will be Glad in the LORD.

Now it came to pass, as they went, that Jesus entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard His word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to Him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Shhh...

He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom. And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands. Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds.

Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile. A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with. He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.

He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble. Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles. I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. A fools lips enter into contention. Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee? For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.

The tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit. Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out. Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so. Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred. He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him? For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty. And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long. My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

For the word is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Unfeigned - A Bible Word

By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned.

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeignedFrom which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling.

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in Sincerity. To him that ordererth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the LORD will not hear me. Let the words of my mouth, and the mediation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O LORD, my Strength, and my Redeemer. Many sorrows shall be to wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Prove the Sincerity of your love.

Fill Up The Golden Vials

And when He had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

Let my prayer be set forth before Thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice. Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you.

In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: and He did hear my voice out of His temple, and my cry did enter into His earsThe eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.  Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes. O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open Thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before Thee for our righteousnesses, but for Thy great mercies

Let my supplication come before Thee: deliver me according to Thy wordGive ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not Thyself from my supplication.  Lord, hear my voice: let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. Seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty.  I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the LORD will not hear me.

Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me. I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in Thy faithfulness answer me, and in Thy righteousness. But as for me, my prayer is unto Thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of Thy mercy hear me, in the truth of Thy salvation. Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth. Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, Call ye upon Him while He is near. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST shall be saved.

We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.  For this shall every one that is godly pray unto Thee in a time when Thou mayest be found. He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years. Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers. Pray without ceasing. Hear the right, O Lord, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. Seek the Lord and his strength, seek His face continually. Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the upright is His delight. I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying. Yet the Lord will command His lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. O Lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before Thee: Let my prayer come before Thee: incline Thine ear unto my cry; For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.

Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me. Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things. Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till He come and rain righteousness upon you.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer. I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: Thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. Without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day. Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. They shall praise the LORD that seek Him. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto Thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.

The Lord is far from the wicked: but He heareth the prayer of the righteous. Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth muchThe Lord is with you, while ye be with Him; and if ye seek Him, He will be found of you; but if ye forsake Him, He will forsake you. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in His temple.

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you. Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Men ought always to pray, and not to faint

The Weather Man

I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number: Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields. Behold, God is great, and we know Him not, neither can the number of His years be searched out. For He maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof: Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly. Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew? Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?

He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; He maketh lightnings for the rain; He bringeth the wind out of His treasuries. Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.  And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: Thou hast made summer and winter.

Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not Thou He, O Lord our God? therefore we will wait upon Thee: for Thou hast made all these things. And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened. He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycomore trees with frost. But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken. The Lord hath His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.

He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes. He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold? For He saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of His strength. That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that He did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.  And they came to Jesus, and awoke Him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then He arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
For there in one God,
and one Mediator between God and men,
the Man Christ Jesus;
Who gave Himself a Ransom for all.

To *Him* Be Glory

But Thou, O Lord, art a Shield for me; my Glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory. Declare His glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people. The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in His works.

Glory ye in His holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.  Where will ye leave your glory?  But my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth's sake.

Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:  But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:  That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. Therefore let no man glory in men.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

And immediately the angel of the Lord smote Herod, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?  Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God

Abraham staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever.

Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. But God forbid that I should glory, save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever.

To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved. That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever.

Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever.  Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever.

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.  For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own Blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.

And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to Him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before Him that sat on the throne, and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give Him glory.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.  To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.

According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever.

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible,
the only wise God,
be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.

First Things First

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Andrew first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.

But the Wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

We love Him, because He first loved us.

Thou hast left thy first love.

Remember therefore from when thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works.

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Remember Now Thy Creator

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of His understanding. Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth. Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his Maker?  Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven? O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. He that planted the ear, shall He not hear? He that formed the eye, shall He not see? The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

The rich and poor meet together: the Lord is the Maker of them all. At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel. Woe unto him that striveth with his MakerAnd forgettest the Lord thy Maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth. Thus saith the Lord the Maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, to establish it; the Lord is His name; Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, that made heaven and earth. Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.

He hath made the earth by His power, He hath established the world by His wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by His understanding. Ah Lord God! behold, Thou hast made the heaven and the earth by Thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for Thee. He hath made the earth by His power, He hath established the world by His wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by His discretion. Fear ye not Me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at My presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is His name.

I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto Me. Since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it? Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

Thus saith God the Lord, He that created the heavens, and stretched them out; He that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; He that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God: Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever.

I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even My hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Of old hast Thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of Thy hands. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Thus saith God the Lord, He that created the heavens, and stretched them out; He that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; He that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein. The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion. O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, Thou art the God, even Thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: Thou hast made heaven and earth.

All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was madeChrist Jesus was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.

And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is. We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein.

For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him...God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed any thing, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things. [But they] changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.  Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air. By His spirit He hath garnished the heavens. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God. The sea is His, and He made it: and His hands formed the dry land. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee. Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?
