Heavenly Surveillance

The LORD looketh from Heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men. From the place of His habitation He looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. He fashioneth their hearts alike; He *considereth all* their works (Psalm 33:13-15). You have “secret sins", that you don't want anyone else to find out about. Your sin-filled past life haunts your memory and conscience. You haven't been found out yet, but you will. The night may have been too dark for human eyes to see you; the dirty deed may have been too secret for man to see; but every one of your secret sins are set down in God's record book in heaven. All the books will be opened at the Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15). God sets your “secret sins in the light of His countenance.” Right now, all your sins are before the all-seeing eye of the infinite JEHOVAH. You are under Heavenly Surveillance 24/7/365.

Consider your ways for God is considering them. Be sure your sins will find you out, if not here on earth, they will surely find you out at the Judgment to come. Divine Justice is on your trail right now. God is watching you all the time; He knows what we're up to inside and out. He knows the way that you take, and He knows the secrets of your heart. God is a knowing God, He's an involved God. God knows your moral character and thought life. He knows the days of the upright (Psalm 37:18). God is personally involved and interested in your daily activities. He numbers your steps every day, He perceives your thought life (Luke 5:22), He watches over your sins every night (Job 14:16), and the very hairs of your head are all numbered all throughout every week (Matthew 10:30). There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (Proverbs 14:12). God sees you just the way you are.

God told you to live right, and you haven't. He gave you His Commandments, but you haven't kept them. You sin for the mere sake of sinning. You spend your money, time, and energy in sinning. You try to forget your sinful past, but you can't, your sin is ever before you: the fear of death, divine justice, and eternal punishment haunt your evil conscience at times. God gave you His own dear Son, and you have neglected and rejected Him - this is the damning sin. You've always disobeyed God; you've sinned against light and knowledge. You have sinned in the very face of Divine Justice with God's eye fixed on you. You can never get away from God's observation. He is a just and sin-hating God.

Heaven's security cameras are always on. You think hard thoughts about God, because you love evil; and He hears those silent thoughts that your evil heart utters. Who are you when no one is looking but God?  When the door is locked and shades are down, God's eyes are upon you.  How can I be saved from Divine Justice? Worldly or religious wisdom is all in vain when it comes to the forgiveness of sins. God is just and holy, and He can't take you the way you are in your natural sinful state, but God gave His Son to satisfy the Divine Justice you have coming to you. If you will take and trust Christ's Blood Atonement, God will take you back. God will only take you on Jesus' grounds alone, and nowhere else. Jesus was the one perfect Blood Sacrifice taking guilty man's place. Now understand - The only hope for a poor guilty sinner from the Divine Justice of God is the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. Divine Justice awaits every Christ rejecter, but you don't have to go to Hell.

How could God be holy and take sinners back? He couldn't except at the Cross where God in human flesh died a bloody death for guilty sinners. You see, the main issue is Righteousness. Jesus died to give sinners a Righteousness they don't have. You have sinned against God, you are going to face the Judgment, and in your own righteousness, you cannot make it. God gave His own Son to die to give you the Righteousness (Romans 10:3-4) you need to get into Heaven, and without that Righteousness (Christ Himself), you are not getting in. God Almighty demands Righteousness, and you are not righteous at all, and you cannot help save yourself. Until you realize you cannot help save yourself, you are in no condition for God to save you. You have to be lost, before you can be found. The only way to avoid the White Throne Judgment is to stop trusting yourself, and simply trust in Christ's Finished Cross-Work to save your soul from Divine Justice, the Wrath of God, and the love of sin. For Salvation from sin it can't get any simpler: trust Christ Himself, your sins are gone; reject Christ, you're done.

The hollow religionist feels some kind of reverence for God on Sunday, but during the other six days of the week he thinks and lives like a practical atheistic worldling. When he comes into a church building, he has some superstitious sense of God being there; he tries to behave with reverence, decency and respect in church; but in other places he dares to act as if he is out of range of God’s eyes and ears. He thinks God is not in that room where he follows out his filthy lusts and obscene passions. He imagines that when he is out of man’s sight, he is also out of God’s sight. Religionists act and live as if God were either dead, or else blind and deaf, utterly oblivious to everything that is done in secret. How blind is the man who thinks God is blind concerning his sinning. God sees your thought life and actions every day. You cannot consent to sin anywhere, for God is always everywhere. The whole earth is God’s house: it is offensive and obscene to mistreat and dishonor the Creator in His own house. The starry skies are the roof of God’s temple, and beneath God’s blue sky we cannot find a place to sin in. Nowhere in time is there space for evil, nor in the universe is there room for sin. God’s omnipresence and omniscience is a deathblow to secret sin. “They know God, but they glorify him not as God,” but think that God is absent either in person or in mind, and that in some secret place, they can hide away from Him, and with impunity follow after their own filthy desires.

God knows proud people and He avoids them: the LORD be high, yet hath He respect unto the lowly: but the proud He knoweth afar off (Psalm 138:6). The LORD knoweth them that trust in Him. If you look around to see if someone is watching before you do something, that action is probably sinful (Exodus 2:12). The omniscient, omnipresent Creator has a clear uninterrupted sight of all persons and their actions, both inward and outward. Nothing can hide your evil thoughts and deeds from God's eyes. God always takes notice what is done here below; His eye is upon all the workers of iniquity. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves (Job 34:22). Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
