Christ Jesus' perfect Obedience and matchless Blood Atonement has rendered to the divine Law recompense on my behalf. He gave Himself for me. *Galatians 2:20* My faith is fixed in the atoning blood of the Lamb of God. Pardoning Love by Precious Blood. I have nothing to recommend me to God, I have no good works, so I must simply trust to the merits of Christ Himself, and confide only in the Atonement made by His bloody death. I now stand clear of the guilt of my sins before the bar of God's divine justice. I am only a sinner saved by Blood. I am now depending alone upon the Blood and Righteousness of Jesus Christ. God has once for all perfectly put away all my sins for Jesus' sake.
The Deity of Christ, the perfect Atonement, the work of the Holy Ghost, the immortality of the soul, the punishment of the wicked. There is a God, and you're not Him. I am saved by the Righteousness of Another which I receive and appropriate from Him. Hide beneath Jesus' Atonement and be secure from the wrath of God. God is so angry with every man that sins, that He will damn that man for sinning, unless there is Someone (Christ Jesus) who will be damned for him, and suffer the punishment due to his sins in his place as a Substitute. Jesus took the punishment my sins deserved, He bore the wrath I ought to have borne, He took the guilt I committed upon Himself. The truth of the Cross is the blood Sacrifice for human sin. The Lord Jesus Christ was made to be Sin for us. *John 1:27; John 3:14; Galatians 3:13; II Corinthians 5:21* The Just dying for the unjust, the Innocent bearing the crimes of the guilty, that we might be freely forgiven and accepted in the Beloved family of God.
Salvation is not of human dongs, but simply and alone by believing in Jesus. I accept by an act of trust that Righteousness which is already finished by the sinless life and bloody death of Christ upon the Cross. Atonement by the Blood of Jesus is the Good News. Free Justification by Faith in Christ Jesus. *Romans 4:16* Christ Crucified and the Cross is my philosophy, creed, tradition, Gospel, glory, and nothing else. The Atoning Blood is the only way God is able to forgive sinners. Human nature cannot endure a free salvation by faith in a real substitutionary sacrifice for human guilt, an actual atonement for sin by the blood of the Great Substitute. The Cross is the only vindication of divine justice and the display of God's love, the removal of all guilt, the infinite wisdom of God. The Atonement is the pillow on which the head filled with doubts and fears may rest. Perfect cleansing, divine security, eternal peace with God, Atonement by Blood, full deliverance from sins, safety in Christ Jesus. Jesus has taken my sins, and given me His Righteousness. Go to God in an accepted Christ, and you are accepted in Him.
I trust the Atonement, it is my settled belief, faith in the Blood is part of my soul. My faith is rooted and grounded in Jesus' bleeding love. It is all done, I have given my heart and soul over to Jesus. The Crucified and Risen Incarnate God is my Lord and Savior. Unto the Crucified One be glory forever and ever. Atonement full of grace and truth. Christ's Atonement is my trust, my hope, my All. Free Salvation by Full Atonement. Apart from Jesus' Atonement there is no salvation, and no true service to God. I have obtained Reconciliation to God through His Precious Blood and now enjoy the full Forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace. The poor in spirit have nothing else to live upon except for Jesus Himself.
Jesus can only save sinners, because He did not save Himself. He can save you because He took your guilt and endure your sin's punishment. There is no way of salvation apart from the satisfaction of God's divine justice. Either the sinner must die, or else Someone must die for him. God has a debt against you, and He will never that debt, until it is paid in full. Christ Jesus paid your sin debt with His own blood, and then you, the guilty sinner, goes free for Jesus' sake.
Real conversion, perfect Pardon, complete Reconciliation. Think of how Christ vindicated divine justice upon the cruel Cross. Sin has been punished on Christ, and now divine Mercy is extended to the guilty. Jesus paid the debt which was incurred by human sin. Humble reliance in the mercy of God, submissive repentance to His plan of salvation by free Grace. Salvation by Substitution, Atonement by the Mediator. Human nature will not see the Light and Wisdom of God, because it believes in its own light and wisdom. The natural man hugs his own righteousness as he hugs his life. Adore the pardoning Savior - only He has power to forgive sins. Trust to the great pardoning love of the Crucified God. Pull down the idol of your own pride, humbly plea for divine mercy and pardoning grace. No excellence of my own can save me, for my sin reeks to high heaven. The Holy Spirit has turned my comeliness into corruption.
Down with self-trust, self-conceit, self-seeking. Human nature kicks against free grace, undying love, and instantaneous, irreversible salvation. Inward depravity, carnal tendencies, unclean inclinations, corrupt desires bring misery, despair, and degradation to the Christ-less soul. Careless indulgence in passions and ambitions is vanity. You must become dissatisfied with yourself, grieve on account of your sins, and pine to find the Savior. The Holy Spirit leads us to longing, sighing, pining after free forgiveness. The Lord Jesus Christ must rend your heart, He knows your secret thoughts and desires. Eternal Salvation for the guilty through the Substitution of the Atonement. Tell out the saving power of the Savior's Precious Blood.
Great guilt has been accrued to you for having lived so long without loving, trusting and obeying God. The guilt of sin and the need of Christ's Atonement is only made known to the sinner by the Holy Ghost. Look away from yourself to the full Atonement made by Jesus Christ alone. The great want of every man is the pardon of sin by Atonement. Where shall we find an Atonement? Jesus has said, "It is finished!" Jesus is the great God who became the great Atonement. The world says that Jesus was only a great ethical example and teacher. Accept the Atonement which divine wisdom has devised, which heavenly Love has provided, which divine justice has accepted. Jesus made an Atonement on the Cross, stake your eternal destiny upon that fact, trusting in what Jesus did, and in that alone. Trust yourself with Christ now. Rely on Him alone for your salvation, have no other confidence.
There is one way of salvation, there can be no other, all other hopes are vain insults to God. There is no other Atonement, or way of acceptance before God. The way to New Jerusalem is through the Atonement. Come and submit yourself to the grace of God. Childlike trust in Jesus. Learn to wash your soul in the Atonement. Salvation is of grace alone. Complete, absolute, everlasting Atonement. Full submission and hearty love to Jesus. All approaches to God must be by Jesus' atoning blood. The only way to God is by the precious Sacrifice of Christ. The merits of the atoning Sacrifice of Christ. Religious ceremonies, genuflections, prostrations, sacraments, beads, wafers are all in vain.
Salvation by self, or Salvation by Christ? Is your righteousness one which you have attained yourself, or has the Righteousness of Christ been imputed to you by power of the Holy Ghost?For you to be forgiven, God must impute to you what Jesus did for you. God can make you absolutely righteous in His sight through Christ's Righteousness only by imputation - a divine miracle of God's Grace. God will only accept you on account of what Jesus is, and what He did. Jesus must be all your Righteousness before God. If you say, "No, but I will have a righteousness of my own!"
If you choose to have a righteousness of your own, you are a rival to Christ, and you will die in your sins. Now understand - Jesus Christ suffered, bled, died, bearing human guilt and sin in Himself, and only the Holy Spirit can cause you to feel the weight of your sin and the burden of its curse.
