The Gospel is the plainest thing in all the world to understand and believe, it is this - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, from divine justice. God has set forth Jesus to be the Propitiation for human sin. The atoning blood of Jesus is a substitutionary offering to God's unflinching justice instead of our eternal death, and now whosoever trusts Christ Jesus to stand instead of him, and so accepts Christ to be His Substitute is a saved soul forever and ever. If you hug your sins in secret, God will reveal those sins in public at the White Throne Judgment, and will condemn them according to the strict justice of His divine Law.
The Lord Jesus Christ by His bloody death has suffered the full penalty of our sins, and made recompense to JEHOVAH'S divine justice. The Lord Jesus Christ has been condemned for us. Fix your heart's eye on the Substitute for sinners, who has borne divine wrath on your account. Christ Jesus, the Son of God Himself died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God by Faith in His Precious Blood.

The Holy Father is now fully satisfied with Jesus' Atonement. Are you? Jesus gave Himself a Sin-Bearer for me. Come now poor soul and trust the Crucified Creator to save your sinful soul from the lake of fire and the love of sin.
We don't go to Heaven because we are good, we go to Heaven because God is so good. See John 3:16.
Jesus offered up Himself to divine justice an amends for all the injury our sins have done to the honor of God. Jesus laid down His own life in our place and rendered recompense to the incensed justice and injured holiness of Almighty God, and that He did upon the bloody tree on Calvary. The Atonement is simply this - Christ Jesus literally took my sins upon Himself, and for me He endured the wrath of God, giving to infinite justice quid pro quo for all that was due to divine justice. In plenty words, Jesus bore the wrath of God that was due to my guilty soul. Jesus loved me and gave Himself for me. Jesus really bore my sins in His own body on the tree. *II Corinthians 5:21*
On Calvary's Cross, there was a literal, positive, actual Substitution. The Incarnate God smarted beneath divine justice on my behalf. View the justice of God - God hates sin intensely, and when His Son took our sins upon Himself, God would not even spare Him. The sins that Jesus bore there on the Cross were not His own, in Him was no sin, but He voluntarily took our sins upon Himself, and was made a Curse for us. The Judge of all the earth did not spare Jesus. Wrath and vengeance was hurled upon the Lamb of God. There was no mercy for the sinner's Substitute, and there will be no mercy for you if keep on rejecting Christ and die in your sins. All God's waves and billows of wrath rolled over Jesus' mind, spirit, and soul. God in His amazing love, gave Jesus Christ to die for rebel sinners. God blended His love with His justice at Calvary - His love gave Jesus, but His justice slew Him.
Here's the Gospel in a nutshell - we have all broken God's laws, and we are justly condemned on account of it. But God in His infinite mercy desired to save sinners, so He gave His Son to suffer, bleed, and die in the sinner's place. Jesus became the Substitute, He suffered in our place, and paid the debt of punishment due to God upon the Cross of Calvary. And right now, any sinner who trusts in Jesus' Finished Work is cleared before the bar of divine justice eternally. We must first own the guilt and heinous criminality of sin, and the justice of the awful sentence against sin, and then look to Jesus for deliverance from our guilt and the death sentence ours sins deserve. God is just and He must take vengeance on all iniquity. Jesus endured a bloody death which honored the justice of God and satisfied God's righteous laws. Jesus bore all the penalty due to our sins. God has accepted an Atonement completed by JESUS worthy of His perfect justice. Your sins deserve suffering and death, and Christ has suffered that death for your sins.
Lovers of sin hate it when you bring Jesus and His bloody death to their remembrance. God's justice demands suffering, it demands that the sinner be abandoned of God. Jesus was abandoned and forsaken by God while He bore our sins on the Cross. Jesus suffered all that divine justice could ask, even death itself. God's holiness righteously demands a life of perfect obedience, but sinful man cannot do right before God for he can never render perfect obedience to the divine Law. Jesus was absolute moral Perfection, and the Holy Father was well pleased with Him. The perfect Savior lived a life of active and passive obedience to God's will and word. God requires a perfect heart, an unblemished person, an innocent Substitute, and perfect manhood - this is all found in Jesus of Nazareth. Let your answer to the justice of God be the Precious Blood and Merits of the Lord Jesus Christ alone.
In the Atonement, divine grace and justice united in one Person - Jesus. God is just, and yet the Justifier of him that believes in Jesus; God smites for sin, and yet smites not the sinner. God is severe, relaxing none of the penalty, and yet laying none of the penalty upon the guilty, because the Guiltless One bore it all. Christ's Blood Atonement make a full recompense to injured divine justice. If you die in your sins, you may be quite certain that your life will be recompensed in the world to come. Jesus came to make recompense for our offenses against God. Jesus paid the death penalty for my sins. God appointed death as the just reward for sin, so Jesus had to die. Human nature thinks it can believe as it likes, attempt to amend and reform, and help save itself. Someone must make amends to your Maker for the wrongs you have done, simply submit to Jesus and let Him make amends for you. Jesus is the standard of perfect Holiness that is the Righteousness of God we need on our soul to stand spotless, faultless, blameless before the presence of God's glory.
Jesus suffered that which perfectly honored divine justice, He vindicated the broken Law, and enabled God to be just, and yet the Justifier of the ungodly. The Atonement has been made and divine justice is now unable to offer any protest to God's free mercy on guilty sinners. God laid the punishment due to our sins upon Jesus. Jesus willingly took God's punitive justice for me. We love Him, because He first loved us. Jesus died the bitter death of the Cross, suffering from divine justice terribly, and now there is power and merit enough in Jesus' atoning blood to wash out all my sins.
The Lord Christ bore all that divine justice could indict. Divine Justice inflicted its sentence upon the person of Jesus of Nazareth - the Great Substitute of Calvary. The Law cannot make any further demands upon me for the Lamb of God is the Victim who took my punishment upon Himself. Divine justice wanted Atonement, for I had sinned, I had broken the Law in a thousand ways and rejected Christ Himself, I had no righteousness of my own, so Jesus came and made a Righteousness and Atonement for me, I trusted to what He did to protect me from the wrath to come, I now have eternal life and my name is written down in the Lamb's book of life forever. *Luke 10:20; Philippians 4:3*
