Most of all, a lost sinner is afraid of God's divine justice. Your iniquities cry out for punishment. Divine justice was satisfied long ago through the Substitution of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. All I ought to have suffered has been suffered by my Substitute, the Lord Jesus Christ. Justice is satisfied, fully content, God's uttermost demands are met at Calvary. Christ's bloody Sacrifice is enough to satisfy God's justice and righteous demands. Justice is the enemy of the guilty soul without Christ. Simply and plainly tell out the story of how Divine Justice is satisfied through the finished Cross-work of Jesus Christ.
Go to your knees as soon as you can, go alone and directly to Jesus for mercy through His Precious Blood. In the bloody death of the Christ of God there was a full penalty paid to divine justice for all my sins. The great sin-atoning Sacrifice is the satisfaction offered to the injured justice of God. The Precious Blood cancels sin instantly, satisfies divine justice forever, and honors the Law perfectly. Your religion can't do that. Look only to the blood of Christ, there is nothing for you to do, Jesus has done it all. Christ has done everything that God demands. Your sins deserve God utmost vengeance, you don't have the slightest claim upon God's mercy. The goodness of God's grace and the severity of His justice both met at Calvary.
If you die in your sins, God must in justice punish you. Look to the eternal needs of your soul. The eyes of divine justice watch you everyday. You are slowly being ushered by Time to the courts of divine justice. Your time is running out. Fix your faith on the Cross of Christ. The sinner is very forgetful of divine justice. Forgetfulness of God is a profound folly. The remembrance of God is your highest wisdom. God's justice must be avenged. Only Christ can deliver you from the punishment of sin, and absolve you from the guilt of your sins. The atheist calls God a liar, attacks His credibility, and slanders His justice. If you die in your sins, God will have to give you His justice, and mete out to you His full indignation and wrath forever. The self-righteous man is impenitent, and refuses to renounce his own way.
You have grievously sinned and greatly erred. Jesus is my Surety, that is, He paid my debts to God's divine justice, and I no longer owe anything, for Jesus paid it all. Justice - Condemnation; Mercy - Justification. I am really guiltless, I am put into the place of the innocent, my sins are all gone forever, I am accepted in the Beloved, my sins are put away through Jesus' Blood, I am actually cleared from all guilt, and delivered from the bondage of the Law. Jesus' blood has purchased my full discharge. Justice cannot smite the forgiven sinner. I am now guiltless, absolved, forgiven, and heaven bound.
God is just, and will by no means clear the guilty. The only way a guilty sinner can be cleared from divine justice is by the Blood of Jesus Christ. If you have sinned but one sin, God must punish you for it. Just one sin will damn your soul, despite all your repentance, reformation, religiousness, or good works. Remember God cannot pass by your sins without exacting His wrath. God's wrath must fall on sin. God must punish every sin, and unless Christ has suffered for you, God's whole wrath must fall on your defenseless head. God is severely just and strict toward all offenders. Christ's bloody death on Calvary was an Atonement to divine justice, the shedding of His precious blood was for the remission of sins.
