I Timothy 3:16 (5)

Tell out the glorious truth that whosoever trusts in Jesus’ blood is saved freely and forever. Hearken diligently to the Gospel, consider and meditate upon it. Meditate upon the Mediator. When your sin is bitter, Christ is sweet, only then. No man ever loved Christ, till he loathed himself. Out of Christ, you are a lost, ruined, undone soul. Jesus is now able and willing to save you. All you have to do is to take and trust what He has done, and simply trust HIM, and you now can be completely saved and perfected through His one sacrifice. God Himself came down to earth in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, lived a perfect life, and then died a bloody death to pay the penalty due to your sins. You’ll never make it to heaven trusting your own righteousness. No matter how bad or good you’ve been, Jesus died for you, and wants to save you right now. Let HIM. Religion is what a man tries to do to justify himself; Salvation is what Christ freely gives to the sinner who finally realizes he cannot justify himself before a holy God. Trust in Jesus, who being God, became man that He might suffer instead of you, what was due from God on account of your sins. Full Atonement by Precious Blood. Bow down in lowly reverence and adoring affection at Jesus' feet.

God who you have offended, His own self bore your sins. For your sake, Jesus suffered what you ought to have suffered. Because of Jesus, my conscience rests gratefully contented. The Son of God took your sins upon His shoulders, bore them up to the Tree, and suffered what was due for your sins in His own person on the Cross. You must trust yourself with Him fully and alone, with all your heart. It is a literal, real, historical fact that God was in Christ, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. God has become a Jewish man to save sinners. Christ in the sinner’s place, Christ bearing the sinner’s sin, Christ smitten with the sinner’s stripes. The Incarnate God bleeding in the sinner’s place. The Incarnate God Himself did hang upon the tree and bled to death for sinful men. Look to Calvary now, and see sin in its true colors, and loathe it as a deadly thing. Abhor the sin which required such an atoning Sacrifice. Atonement by Blood, redemption by the Incarnate God, reconciliation through His substitutionary Sacrifice, salvation all of Grace from first to last.

God was in Christ, He died upon the accursed tree for your sins. He who spread the heavens and made the earth lived here among the sons of men. God was here in the form of man, the soldiers came and seized Him in Gethsemane, they took Him away to Pilate’s hall, there they scourged Him and spit in His face, they crowned Him with a crown of thorns, and they condemned Him to bear a cross. Consider this - The Eternal God in human flesh. They hounded Him along the streets of Jerusalem, they flung him down upon His back upon the Cross, and nailed Him, they drove the cruel nails through His innocent hands and feet, they lifted up the Cross, and dashed it into the earth, His bones were dislocated. He on the bloody tree was fastened and lifted up, there He died there in mid-air in agony and blood. God forsook His Son because of our sins that He bore in His own body, His Father turned away His face, and in the bitterness of agony Jesus cried, “My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?” On the Cross Jesus died, and in that death, He took the punishment due on account of your sins. Believe in Jesus with all your heart now. God has made a full Atonement, the eternal God Himself has put away human sin. Eternal life is now available for everyone who trusts in HIM.

33 years of love, toil, and weariness, and then Jesus endured Gethsemane’s terrible garden and Calvary's accursed tree. Jesus bore all the wrath of God on your behalf. Confide in Him. Defiled, filthy, polluted, wretched sinners need the Savior. Put your turst in what Jesus has done, and you are reconciled to God. The safest thing is to rest in what Christ has done. See Colossians 1:16. God descended to the manger of Bethlehem, He nestled in Mary’s bosom, behold the Incarnate God, the Eternal Holy One of Israel, dwelt among dying men. This is the greatest truth ever heard in human ears.  God in human flesh redeeming us by the Sacrifice of Himself (Acts 4:12). Come now and Rest on His blessed person and finished work (Matthew 11:28). God Himself came in human flesh and made Atonement for human guilt by His own bloody death upon the Cross. The highest love – the incarnate God bleeds to death to save ungodly men, and human nature hates God so much that it will not have Him as He dies to save sinners. This is depravity indeed – the desperateness of rebellion. Love unspeakable is centered in the Cross of Christ. The blood of Jesus Christ and the love of the Incarnate God was mingled on Golgotha. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled on his children (John 8:44) was to convince them that he doesn’t even exist. Men cannot see Truth, because they love falsehood.

On Calvary’s bloody tree hangs all man’s hope. The Incarnate God bleeding out His own life for sinners. The unconverted are in great danger. If you die in your sins neglecting Christ, you will be driven into everlasting punishment. The Cross is the danger signal to you, the Lighthouse that warns of the wrath to come and sure destruction that awaits those that continue on in sin, unbelief, and rebellion. Rest upon Jesus Christ as God. Only God can snatch a sinner from sin. Jesus the Son of God, the infinitely glorious One, the Creator of heaven and earth, out of love stooped to become a man and die for His enemies.

Jesus stooped to save us, and we laugh as He stoops, He leaves the throne to rescue us, but while He graciously descends, the hoarse laughter of the ungodly world is his only reward. JEHOVAH JESUS stooped to save unworthy men. To lift us up, Jesus stooped, He made the heavens, yet He laid in Bethlehem’s manger. He hung the stars in their places, He framed the universe, but He gave up all His rank and dignity for love’s dear sake, He consented to be a servant, and made Himself of no reputation.  He took the lowest place. He was despised and rejected of men. He gave up all ease and comfort for me, for He had no where to lay His head. He bare His back to the smiters that the chastisement of our peace might fall upon Him. He gave up the clothes on His back, they took His raiment from Him. He gave up all esteem for this lost world. He gave his heart to reproach, His body to nails, His side to the spear, He could do no more for you.

The first great truth of our faith is “God was manifest in the flesh.” He who was born at Bethlehem is God, Immanuel, “God with us.” JEHOVAH Himself in human flesh bore human sin, gave up His life, the Just for the unjust to bring us to God. Sin is a deicide. Every sinner, if he could, would kill God, for he says in his heart and tongue, “No God!” God himself came down to earth in the form of Jesus of Nazareth, pure and perfect. Sinful men couldn’t rest till they had crucified the Incarnate God and gotten rid of Him. The atheist wishes there were no Jesus Christ. He would be glad if he knew for sure there was no God. But the infinite Atonement of the Incarnate God paid for every human sin. Jesus offered a perfect Atonement for our sins. The holy God made an Atonement for sin. The offended One died for the offender. The Judge bore the chastisement of the criminal. The Creator took upon Himself the transgressions of the creature. Look to Jesus’ wounds now, ask Jesus personally for faith to believe on Him. Behold His precious atoning blood. The Incarnate God suffered for human sin. The Gospel is just too simple, too plain, too pure for human nature to receive. Incarnate Wisdom lived here below. He was slain for sinners, laid in a grave for three days, and then rose from the dead. Jesus is All I need to get by the Judgment of God. Incarnate Deity, Bleeding Omnipotence, Immortal Love, crucified for my sins on Golgotha.

The fear of the Lord brings intense hatred to sin of every kind. Sin became most obnoxious to me, the propensity to sin is still there, but the love of sin is gone, and when I sin I feel an inward grief and horror at myself for doing the things I once enjoyed. My relish for sinning is gone. Jesus’ Precious Blood is our sole hope. From your heart, rest in His atoning blood. My faith is resting only in the substitutionary work of Jesus. Jesus the Son of God lived on earth a life of perfection and died as a substitutionary Sacrifice. He has risen from the dead and is ascended into Glory. Receive His endless matchless love. Meditate on the grand doctrine of the substitutionary sacrifice of the Son of God. Let others question and quibble, but I believe it, it is my only hope, all my salvation, I stake my very soul upon Jesus' blood and merits alone. The great Substitute bore our sin and suffered on its account, free salvation by His Atonement is what I desire. The Blessed Fact - Christ died for the ungodly. The grand old truth of eternal redemption by the blood of Jesus, God’s atoning blood. Bow low and adore the Lamb of God. Come, trust, and worship at His blessed feet.

Jesus' love and blood is all I’ll ever need. God did lay on Christ your iniquities, and He was punished instead of you. Now God for Christ’s sake has forgiven me. He was honesty, integrity, uprightness, righteousness, truth, holiness all in one, Incarnated as a man. You must savingly believe by putting your trust in Precious Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the grand saving act - When a man brings his guilty soul and commits it to Christ for safekeeping, that entrusting of the soul to Jesus Himself saves that man. This is the grand and all-important truth - Christ died for His enemies. The grand old truth is the Incarnate God all by Himself finished the Atonement for needy sinners. Jesus is the Son of the Highest, yet He came to this earth and was born a Jewish baby at Bethlehem. He was nursed by a woman, and grew up as other children do. He became a man in fullness of stature and wisdom, living here for 33 years, doing good. And then at the last, God manifest in the flesh died the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, suffering in the place of guilty man, that He might bear man’s punishment – that God might be just, and yet the Justifier of Him that believeth.

Jesus died for our sins, and was buried, but the grave couldn’t contain Him on that third day. God dwelt among men in human flesh. Jesus, the Son of God, abode upon the earth through a lowly life of poverty and shame, at last he poured out His life’s blood, His heart’s blood for our redemption. Hallelujah for the Cross! If your standing before God depends upon any of your merits, you are in extreme danger. The grand old doctrines – Justification by Faith, Redemption by Blood. Keep thyself pure with a pure Bible, and pure thinking about a pure Savior. Stop dabbling about with self-righteous religion. Just be nobody, and let Christ be everybody. Just be nothing, less than nothing. Stop running errands for a corpse. Jesus labored, suffered, and died for you. He was a perfect man, without a trace of fault. Jesus stooped to save ungodly sinners. The Incarnate King of Heaven became poor so you could be made rich. The wondrous stoop of Deity to lowly humanity. The grand doctrine of Substitution is good news for the sinner. Here is a grand old word – Repent. With a simple faith, come to the Cross now, and cast your awful load of sin upon the Bleeding Incarnate God. A living faith in the living God always produces a living faith with a hatred for sin. The Infinite became a man, He that built the heavens, hung the stars, came down below, to be subject to poor parents, to work in a carpenter’s shop, and then to die upon a Cross, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. Jesus was willing to be scoffed at by the lewdest and lowest of men in order to save the vilest men.
