In Thy Sight

What God Almighty sees and knows about us is far more important than what man sees and thinks.  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my Strength, and my Redeemer.  And Abraham said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in Thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant.  Lot said, behold now, Thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and Thou hast magnified thy Mercy.  Moses said, now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in Thy sight, shew me now Thy way, that I may know Thee, that I may find grace in Thy sight: and consider that this nation is Thy people.

The foolish shall not stand in Thy sight:  Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.  Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in Thy sight.  And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord.  Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Thy sight: that Thou mightest be justified when Thou speakest, and be clear when Thou judgest.  Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in Thy sight when once Thou art angry?   Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in Thy sight.

And Jesus said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.  For thy heart is not right in the sight of God.  For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.  But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.  But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.  Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father.  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.  But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my Strength, and my Redeemer.  And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that it may be well with thee.  And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord.  What God Almighty sees and knows about us is far more important than what man sees and thinks.
