First Pure 3

There are two kinds of wisdom today: There is a wisdom *from beneath* that is found in earthly religions, public schools, colleges, universities, and the news media - this is called earthly, sensual, fleshly, devilish wisdom in the Scriptures (James 3:15; II Corinthians 1:12). The world by its earthly wisdom knows not God. Folly is joy to the person that is destitute of wisdom. "Folly" means "sin", for all sin is folly; sin is very pleasing and joyous the atheist; he chooses sin and delights in it; instead of being ashamed of sin, and sorry for his sins, he glories in sin, and makes his boast of sin; and not only takes pleasure in committing transgression himself, but also in those that do it. Fools die for want of True Wisdom. Christ Jesus Himself is the True Wisdom of God. Wisdom is when you don't want to hurt God anymore. Wisdom is too high for an atheist (Proverbs 24:7).

But the wisdom that is *from above* is FIRST PURE, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil (your own sinful habits). The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do His commandments. If the wisdom you have is not leading you first to be Pure within, that is, in your thoughts, intents, and imaginations, then you have a earthly wisdom that is devilish.

The natural man takes pleasure in his sins; he has an appetite for Satan's bait, and he blindly and greedily swallows it down, and has no dread of the deadly hook hidden within the bait.  The lost man sins against God without regret, and repents not of it. The love of sin is a certain sign of one that is Christ-less. But the man that loves and fears God seeks to walk uprightly; he seeks to live a pure and orderly life in private and public; he seeks in every thing to be conformed to the will of God; and to do right and please God is a constant pleasure and joy to him.  The sinful thoughts and acts of foolishness that may still remain in the wise man are a grief to him, and he is ashamed of thinking or doing them.

Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom. "Folly" is sin, for all sin is folly.  Sin is very pleasing and satisfying to a wicked man, for he chooses sin and delights in it; instead of being ashamed of his sins, and sorry for them, he glories in them, and makes his boast of them; and not only takes pleasure in committing sin against God and man, but also in those that do the same. But a man of understanding, one that fears God, walketh uprightly; he has his understanding enlightened by the Spirit of God; he has an understanding given to him by the Son of God; he has a spiritual and understanding given to him from on high of the Scriptures and the Gospel: he walks in the light according to the rule of the words of God; he is led by the Spirit of God; he is aided by the assistance of the Spirit and grace of God; he put his faith solely in the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh.

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil (that is, your own sins). If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But wisdom is justified of all her children. (James 3:17, Proverbs 16:6; Psalm 111:10; Proverbs 8:13; James 1:5; Luke 7:35). God's wisdom FIRST leads a man to be pure, and to depart from his evil (that is, your own sinful thoughts, words, and habits). If the wisdom you have is not leading you to more pure and please God in thought, word and deed, then you have an "earthly" wisdom that is devilish. You may be clever, but you're not clean. Only the Blood of Christ can make a sinner clean, not his works. Every sinner must be saved by Blood, and Islam doesn't provide the sinner any blood or Substitute to atone for his sins. The most precious thing in the world is not som religion, it is Someone's Blood that was shed to pay for all your sins.

Blessed are the PURE in heart, for they shall see God. Your heart (inward nature) can only be purified by placing simple God-given faith in Jesus Christ's precious blood (I Peter 1:19, 22). True wisdom will always first lead you to be pure in mind, heart, and body (II Corinthians 7:1). Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to God's word. Jesus said, "Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you." Christ Himself is the power of God, the wisdom of God (I Corinthians 1:24).

Wisdom is when you don't want to hurt God anymore; the fear of the Lord (the desire to please Him) is to Depart From Evil; the Fear of the Lord is to Hate Evil, that is Pride, Arrogancy, the Evil Way, and the Froward Mouth. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do His commandments. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil (that is, your own sins). If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But wisdom is justified of all her children (James 3:17, Proverbs 16:6; Psalm 111:10; Proverbs 8:13; James 1:5; Luke 7:35). Wisdom is when you don't want to hurt God anymore. Ye that love the Lord, hate evil.

*The Evil Way: the course of sinning against God; a man's own way, which he chooses and delights in, and which leads to his own destruction.

*The Froward Mouth: Perverse; reluctant to yield or comply with what is required; to be willfully contrary to the truths of the holy Scriptures, the Gospel, and to Christ; self-willed; disobedient; peevish.

The evil of sin is to be hated, because of the evil nature of it, it being exceeding sinful; and because of its evil consequences; for sin bring death, ruin, and destruction with it to the soul of man, unless God's grace prevents it. Sin brings disquietude, distress, and trouble to the Christian. We must hate Sin for sin is hateful to God, and contrary to God's nature, will, and law, and sin is hated by Christ.

All those that love Jesus should hate sin, shun it, avoid it, depart from it, and abstain from all appearance of sin. All those that love the Savior in sincerity above all things shall hate their sins. Those that have seen the loveliness of the Savior, and know His love, and have had it shed abroad in their hearts; these souls will hate the evil of sin, and will no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.  Walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise; Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Abhor that which is evil (your own sins), cleave to that which is Good (the Lord Jesus Christ). Sin is hateful to God (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) and contrary to the nature, being, and righteousness of God. Sin is a transgression of God's righteous law, sin is exceeding sinful in itself, and pernicious in its effects and consequences; our sins (pride, selfishness, arrogancy, bad habits) are to be abhorred. Sin is the most disgusting thing imaginable. We should turn away from sin for it is the most loathsome, detestable, and abominable thing in the universe. We should be horrified by our sins.
