First Pure 1

The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.  If you have wisdom from God, the first sign is that your life is gradually becoming more pure inwardly and then outwardly for Jesus' sake. The fear of the Lord is the highest wisdom you can obtain, for the fear of the Lord is to depart from evil, and that is the departure from the evil within you first.  In a word, put off the old man, and put on the new.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get Wisdom: and with all thy getting get Understanding.  We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:  which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.  The fear of the Lord is his treasure.  That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In Whom are hid all the treasures of Wisdom and knowledge.

For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, God taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. Therefore let no man glory in men.

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:  That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us Wisdom, and Righteousness, and Sanctification, and Redemption:  That, according as it is written, he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Godly wisdom is the ability to discern and understand things from God's viewpoint and then practically responding to circumstances and issues of life according to the words of God. Make sure your sins are forgiven by Christ's Precious Blood, let Jesus be your Guide in life, invest your life in the Gospel, in souls, and the kingdom of God. If you live your life by human wisdom and continue to love sin, you will pay a terrible consequence in time and Eternity. Men want money, health, security, position, popularity, but not the Wisdom from above. *James 3:17* The Wisdom which is from above is first Pure, that's why evil human nature never thinks to ask for wisdom from above. If you live a godly life, you will be rejected, misunderstood, and persecuted. Consequences always follow decisions. Let Jesus be your Decision Maker.

Never trust your own heart *Proverbs 28:26*, only trust God's heart, and always beware of yourself. No man fears God by nature. The fear of God must be put into a man's heart by God. *Jeremiah 32:40*  True wisdom is to fear the LORD. A man who fears the LORD is one who loves the LORD, trusts in Him, depends on God, he acknowledges the Son of God, seeks the Holy Spirit for direction and aid, he is careful not to offend or grieve God in thought, word or deed; the God-fearing man hates his sins, and avoids them.

The fear of God influences men to avoid their sins, and to abstain from the very appearance of evil. Nehemiah could not do as others did, because of the fear of the Lord (Nehemiah 5:15); and Job was a man that feared God, and therefore he eschewed (avoided, departed from) that which was evil. The prouder we get, the more we doubt God, and forget to acknowledge and thank God. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil, that is, your own inward evil, evil thoughts, evil words, evil deeds, evil company.

Sin is like a fog in your mind, that hinders you from seeing which way to go. A clean heart leads to a clear mind. Put off the old man, depart from your evil ways of self-confidence and self-conceit, yield to the Holy Spirit, patiently follow, don't make snap decisions, submit to God's timing, rest in God's Promises, don't act independently of God, don't yield to peer pressure or criticism, ask God for wisdom and direction persistently. Seek spiritual friendships, Spirit-led Bible reading, make restitution for wrongs, confess your faults and needs, converse in prayer with God, worship God willingly, gladly and sacrificially. Carnal men are afraid of losing their job, finances, health, friends, freedom, rights, but not their soul.

It's not what you possess, it is what you are that matters. When is the last time you asked God for Wisdom?  Jesus is Wisdom Incarnate.  There's a deadly price to pay if you continue to love your sins. Without godly wisdom you'll make terrible mistakes in your life; and the ultimate mistake you'll make is rejecting Jesus Christ, the author of all Wisdom. The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. Wisdom is profitable to direct. Beware - Christ-less worldlings will inject devilish ideas into your thought processes that are not of God.

Do not tolerate sin in your thought life, words, and actions. Do not speak evil of others. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Walk closely to Jesus Christ, walk humbly with God, walk in the Spirit. *Galatians 5:16* Jesus is the Beginning of Wisdom. *Colossians 2:3* Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.

If you die in your sins and lose your soul, that is the most unwise thing you could do. Ask for Faith, Seek for Mercy, Knock for Wisdom. *Matthew 7:7* Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is Wisdom. Christ Jesus is Wisdom Incarnate, always ask His advice in every situation. Wisdom giveth life to them that have Him.

Pursue wisdom, meditate on God's words, focus your thoughts on the Crucified Creator, set your affection on things above, not on things on this earth. Happy is the man that findeth Wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. Wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! Plan out your days with God's wisdom. Human nature seeks after man's approval, not God's smile.

He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. Take time to understand the ways of God and how He thinks, and then ask God to transform your mind and behavior according to His thoughts. *Romans 12:2* The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise. People that are selfish and lazy always blame others for their problems. Human nature wants to be accepted by man and please man, but not God. *Ephesians 4:22-24* If you think your favorite sin is an exception before God, and if you think that you are smarter than God, that is the height of all arrogance.

A sin always brings harmful consequences with it. Pay close attention to the Holy Ghost's gentle promptings and divine guidance, be led by the Spirit of God. *Romans 8:14* It is foolish and fatal to neglect Jesus Christ and His great Salvation from sin. Seek Wisdom by praying to God in Jesus' name, then obey the Light that God gives you. The entrance of God's words into your heart giveth light. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

P.S. Wisdom is only found low at the feet of Jesus Christ. *Luke 10:42*
