Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. The more unfit you feel yourself to be, the more you are invited to come to the Cross. Jesus, the Friend of sinners, will give you a hearty welcome and supply everything your empty soul can possibly need. Sin will never benefit you. Doing wrong will never work for your health or happiness. You will never be better for envy, hate, greed, lust, or drink. Sin never profits your inner self into anything good. Sin will always deceives and destroys you, it will never improve you, and you know it. The deadly nature of evil will deceive and damn you. You hate the Bible, because a holy Creator God is its Author.
Don't go further on in sinning and neglecting Christ. Do you know where you're going when you die? Do you know for sure all your sins are forgiven, and do you have it in writing? Are you happy, and do you love life? Are you going to regret the way you're living right now on your deathbed? The far country of Sin is a barren and waste howling wilderness. If you keep messing around with your sins, it will become more and more difficult for your old habits to die. Sin earns us nothing else but misery and death. Sin is a miserable slavery which brings with it terrible wages both in time and Eternity. Repentance is the spirit of the whole life of the Christian after his conversion. I used to love my sins which are an abomination to the Holy God.
You have played the fool exceedingly by sinning against God. Sin only injures and destroys you, and all for nothing. Your best doings are only your undoing. See your folly and repent of it. Eternal life can never be purchased by human merit, but only the free gift of the love of God. Going to the Cross is like going to the dentist, it's going to hurt at first, but you'll be so glad you went. You cannot be saved by any of your own works. Nothing you can do can ever deserve God's free Mercy. God delights in mercy for Jesus' sake. Salvation must be the free gift of God, for there is nothing good in any sinner.
God will only pardon a sinner on these lines: The first thing you need is Faith; you must believe that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, and that He died to pay the price for your sins with His own bloody death on Calvary's Cross. You must believe that He is risen from the dead and alive today and able to save your soul to the uttermost. You must trust your soul wholly, simply, heartily, once and for all with JESUS. Whosoever believeth in Him hath everlasting life. Go and plead with God for unfeigned repentance of your sins. Whosover will, whosoever believeth, not whosoever feeleth. Ask God for more and more Repentance that will change your mind totally about your sins; there must be a hearty loathing, a giving up, a forsaking of individual sins.
Do not deceive yourself. You cannot be saved in your sins, Jesus must save you from your sins. You and your sins must part, or else Christ and you will never be united. Strive to give up every sin, turn from every false way. You must abhor your sins, and flee from them, or your sins will be your ruin and damn you. Return, Submit, Yield, Surrender! Confess and forsake your sins.
You have sinned against light and knowledge, and your sin grows worse and worse the longer you reject Christ. Jesus wants to save you from the slavery of your sins. War against your inward sins by the help and power of the Holy Spirit. Poor, wearied, burdened, heavy-laden sinner; take Christ to be yours now. Your sin is only forgiven you by God for Christ's sake alone. With Christ's Atonement you are secure from the wrath of God. Your sins are all forgiven, the sting of eternal death is quenched. Repent of your pride, and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. Believe in the power of God's words.
Resort to Jesus; repair to Calvary. Cry to the Strong for strength. Continually go to Jesus for aid. You know your filthiness and impurity, seek to be cleansed by the Atoning Blood of Jesus. Cry out to Jesus daily. Rest in His love. Put your trust in Christ Crucified - that's what its all about. Glory in Christ Crucified alone. Think much on these things - Christ Crucified, His atoning death, Precious Blood, burial, Resurrection, eternal reign, Second Coming, and eternal glory. Cast yourself into the arms of Jesus the Crucified. Rest in His presence. Jesus is my Help, my Praise, my Glory, my God, my Friend, my All. Seek God's comfort, rest in His presence, follow His direction. Ask Jesus for light, liberty, love, joy, salvation, eternal glory. If your sin is too heavy for you to carry, if you are sick and tired of your sins, come on to the Cross.
The worm which gnaws at the unregenerate heart is its own willful hatred of God and the love of evil. Hate all sins and flee from them. Will you leave your sins and go to Heaven, or keep your sins and go to Hell where you belong? Reliance upon self in any form is the most hateful of crimes. The bitterest, most imaginable hate is a love for sin. Give up all hope of your self-righteousness. You cannot ever be acceptable with God in yourself. Hate your sins, love that which is right, endeavor to act generously, let God's love rule you. Seek to be pitiful, tender, courteous, and kind. Long and strive to be pure within. God will forgive every sin simply because you believe in Jesus. God saves sinners for nothing, freely, by His grace and mercy divine. God be merciful to me a sinner.
