What Were You Thinking?

Your thoughts have come from some voice you have heard and received in the past.  You trusted someone's words and believed on that person's thoughts to be true. Thoughts produce ideas, ideas have consequences. The voice you hear, receive, and trust will eventually take you either to Heaven or Hell. Make sure you are hearkening to the correct Voice (Prov 8:4; Zeph 3:2; Luke 9:35; John 10:27; John 18:37; Rev 3:20), and then you will be thinking the right Thoughts (Luke 2:35; I Cor 3:20; II Cor 10:5; Col 2:8; Heb 4:12; Psa 119:113; Prov 16:3) and making the right Decisions. Your thoughts drive your life and will inevitably determine your eternal destiny. The natural man has his own opinions, and he would rather trust his mind and thoughts more than the Bible (The Creator's mind and thoughts).

Be wise - Plan for retirement (and) Eternity. You have lost your Creator in the darkness of sin, you are at a distance from Him; your sins have separated you from your Maker, and nothing will ever be right with you - really right - until you are reconciled back into a real living relationship with your Maker through True Faith in the Blood and Righteousness of His Son. The still, small Voice of the Holy Spirit says now, "Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. If you have a restless mind and heart, come unto Jesus now, and He will give you Rest. Believe on Jesus' Precious Blood alone, and thou shalt be saved."

Genuine saving faith looks away from self altogether and looks only to and believes on Christ's Blood for the free pardon of all sins, and then Genuine Faith looks to Christ's Spirit to overcome/subdue the power of sin in the heart and mind and actions. Self-made men go to Hell, but new creatures made by Christ Himself go to Heaven. Your sins deserve and demand eternal punishment, but Christ bore your sins in His own body and was punished for you. You must be saved by Blood, and not just any blood, your sins need God's Blood applied to them. Nothing can wash the sin stains out of your soul but Christ's Blood.

Seek ye the Lord Jesus Christ while He may be found, call upon Him while 'He Is Near'. Humbly submit to Christ, surrender to His Righteousness, believe on His Blood, (then) cheerfully and gratefully obey His will for your life, and seek to bring glory to your Maker. Always keep to this one point - I am nothing, but Christ is everything; I am sin, but Christ is my Righteousness; I am death, but Christ is my Life; I look to Christ Himself for all my needs; I trust not in mine own merits and doings, but I rely on Christ's finished work alone to clear my sinful account before God. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
