Freedom is not enjoyed by accident; there's no such thing as evolution when it comes to Freedom. American freedom is being enjoyed right now due to the blood, sweat and tears of 535,370 soldiers, 323,112 sailors, 333,772 airmen, and 195,338 marines on active duty presently serving, deployed and fighting around the world. This is a total of 1,387,592 active duty members. The entire population of the United States of America (318,350,000) is relying on a small percentage of .44% of self-sacrificing, patriotic individuals. That's less than one half of one percent of our population keeping our entire country free. Think about that! How often do you pray for them, thank them, encourage them?
By the way, spiritual freedom is not enjoyed by accident either - The Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, bore our sins in His own body and endured blood, sweat, and tears, and laid down His own life on Calvary's Cross, so we could be freely rescued from Sin's tyranny. When's the last time you thanked *Him* for that?
Real Freedom is never Free; it always costs someone behind the scenes a great deal for you to be Free. Don't ever forget that, and be thankful and thoughtful of those in harm's way.
