The ONLY PASSPORT to New Jerusalem is Precious Faith in the Precious Blood of the Precious Lamb of God which purifies the Soul, and causes your Soul to HATE the sins you once loved, that is, your sins that shed the Savior's Blood on Calvary's Cross.
Faith is remembering and depending upon God, Faith is confidence toward God, Faith is trusting in the Precious Promises of God, and Faith is Looking to Christ Jesus only for Salvation. Trusting only in Christ's name, person, and Blood. Ye must be born again, that is, divinely adopted into the family and kingdom of God. Your Faith must be genuinely and sincerely rooted and fixed in the BLOOD ATONEMENT of Christ Jesus alone. Your Soul must belong to Jesus Christ, being bought with a Price, the Precious Blood of the Lamb of God. You must be purified in your heart and justified completely through the sinless Blood of God manifest in the flesh, and spared freely from the coming wrath of God. Trust in Christ's full and final Blood Sacrifice for sinners. Come to the Cross by Faith, trust only in the atoning work of Christ. Christ's great atoning sacrifice is necessary for ETERNAL Salvation, He alone is the path to the full forgiveness of sins. *ETERNAL* SALVATION is of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, end of story.
The plain Gospel is this: The Incarnate Creator suffering and dying for human sin, becoming Sin, becoming the Propitiation for human guilt, buried, and raised from the dead by the power of God. The Gospel is too pure for lovers of sin. The Gospel Ax cuts at the very root of self-righteousness and sinful pleasures. The Gospel is too humbling: it destroys all self-confidence. Jesus presents Salvation only to those sinners which are lost, ruined, and bankrupt. The Gospel lays all self-righteousness low in the dust. Being saved simply by believing in Christ is too plain and simple for smart alecks, and too hard for dishonest hearts. But the Gospel of Christ is very sweet to the real sinner. Deluded, sin-loving human nature wants to get to the Moon and Mars, but Not to the CROSS and the LAMB OF GOD who appeared here on Earth to put away Sin by the Sacrifice of HIMSELF.
Jesus Christ came into the world to die for the guilty, not for the innocent; Christ died for the ungodly, not for the godly. Human nature says, "I will not believe in Christ, I will run the risk, and take my chances out in eternity without Jesus Christ." You think you're not good enough for heaven, but rather, too good to be sent into hellfire to burn forever. Man by nature doesn't think he needs Christ. Human nature thinks it has a righteousness of its own; human nature thinks it needs no Grace to purify it, or Christ's blood to wash sin away.
No man knows his true need until the Holy Spirit shows it to him plainly, until the Holy Ghost reveals his sinfulness, and the necessity of free pardon from the hand of Christ. A doctor may be the best in town, but no one will seek his remedy or surgery, until the man truly senses/feels that he needs the doctor.
Men do not like the way Christ saves souls from sin. One says, "The Gospel is much too holy, for I cannot drink and swear and lust if JESUS saves me, I must have a little license to sin in private." Another says, "The Gospel is too humbling, for the door to heaven is not high enough for my head, I don't like stooping so low." Now understand: You cannot enter heaven strutting with your head high up in the air. If you ever come to Christ, you must stoop very low. Another says, "I don't like the Gospel - for it is Free Grace from first to last; I must have a little honor and glory."
With the Gospel, It is ALL Christ, or no Christ. Proud sinners will not come to Christ, because they love self and sin dearly. Ignorant sinners will not come to Christ, because they know nothing of Him, and they like it that way. They say, "this religious stuff is way over my head, it is so hard for me to understand."
You must come down from your good works and self-sufficiency. You can do nothing, because you have ruined your Soul by sinning against God. Your are corruption, wickedness, and filthiness to the bone marrow. Men will not have Christ, for Christ interferes with their lusts and vain glory. Lord Jesus, I am nothing and less than nothing.
If you ever get to heaven one day, it will be all by Grace, by simple faith in Christ Jesus, through the Precious Blood of the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. Faith, the gift of God from above, is Trust, Confidence, Reliance upon Christ Jesus Himself. Be Wise: put your whole Trust in JESUS. Rely upon JESUS for time and eternity. trusting especially to His great and precious Blood Atonement, for He offered up Himself on the Cross for your sins. Whosoever believeth on the Son of God hath Everlasting Life freely.
Faith in JESUS' Precious Blood is the ONLY PASSPORT to New Jerusalem, Faith gives you free access to a blessed Eternity and Immortality. Do not be insane and venture out into Eternity and dare to come before the Great White Throne Judgment without an Advocate and Substitute. Stop living in utter neglect of God, indifferent to Christ, and disregarding your Soul's eternal safety. The offence of the Cross lifts up the BLOOD ATONEMENT of God manifest in the flesh, and demolishes all confidence in your own righteousness, and any outward rituals and ceremonies you love to trust in. Trust JESUS only, not yourself.
Escape for your Life, Do not Delay, Rely alone upon JESUS now, trust Him really and sincerely. Receive Him inwardly into thine heart, not just a nominal profession, but truly/sincerely Lean, Rest, Rely upon Christ Jesus from the heart, with your whole heart, in thine own heart, for this is Saving Faith. Simple Faith in JESUS will save your Soul, just as you are. Saving Faith gives you direct access to the FATHER and His Grace, through the one Mediator, simply by the Faith of Christ. No religious proxy is needed whatsoever.
Lord Jesus, I come to You as a weary Soul, a humble beggar, burdened with guilt and without any merit of my own. I have no claim upon Your favor and deserve nothing but Judgment. Yet I plead for MERCY through Your Precious Blood and Perfect Righteousness. Have compassion on me and save me now. I renounce my sins and desire to leave them behind. Gracious Saviour, receive me, forgive me, cleanse me, and make me righteous in your sight. Save my Soul, dear Lord Jesus, and let Your Mercy overcome my evil.
