The Lord is a Man of war: the Lord is His name. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Gird thy sword upon Thy thigh, O most mighty, with Thy glory and Thy majesty. They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera. Through God we shall do valiantly: for He it is that shall tread down our enemies. In what place therefore ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us: our God shall fight for us. Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and HE doeth according to HIS will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay HIS hand, or say unto HIM, What doest Thou?
Eleazar arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the Lord wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand.
For it became HIM, for Whom are all things, and by Whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the Captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. We are more than Conquerors through HIM that loved us.
This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare. For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for His sake; Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me. For I would that ye knew what I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh.
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air.

For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house.
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful. Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and HE that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness HE doth judge and make war. And the remnant were slain with the
of HIM that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of HIS mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
Your Soul will be often threatened unpredictably by enemies within and without; stay focused and vigilant; when you want to win the Battle, there is only one Constant - The Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
