TWO-EDGED SWORD-1

Refrain thy foot from the sinner's path; Ponder the path of thy feet; Understand every good path; Take hold of the paths of life; Walk in the way of good, Acknowledge the LORD, and He shall direct thy paths; He will lead you in right paths; the path of the just is as a shining light; In the midst of the paths of judgement. I have refrained my feet from every evil way.

A Prudent man forseeth the evil,
and hideth himself.
Proverbs 22:3; 27:12

Honour your Maker, Have mercy on the poor; Give your bread to the poor; Rob not the poor; Relieve the oppressed; Faithfully judge the poor; Have pity on the poor; Despise the gain of oppressions; Open your ears to the cry of the poorHe that giveth to the poor shall not lack; Consider the cause of the poor.

Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee; Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser; A wise man will hear, and increase learning; A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil; confess and forsake your sins; reproof enters into a wise man; a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels; a man of understanding hath wisdom; a man of understanding holdeth his peace; a man of understanding walketh uprightly; a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit; he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding; a man of understanding draws counsel out of hearts.

Cease from thine own wisdom; Be not wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD, Depart from evil; Wisdom is the principal thing; Apply thine heart to Wisdom, Knowledge and Instruction; Honour the LORD, Let not thine heart envy sinners; Humility; Integrity; The Counsel of the LORD; Take fast hold of Instruction; Wait on the LORD; Guide thine heart in the way; Good Blessing; Buy the Truth, sell it not; Follow after righteousness and mercy; Whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be Safe. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart. Every word of God is Pure: He is a Shield unto them that put their trust in HIM.

They that seek the LORD understand all things; Understanding shall keep thee; Find the Knowledge of God; Find Favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man; Whoso findeth Wisdom findeth Life; He that handleth a matter wisely shall find Good; Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing. He that keepeth Understanding shall find Good. Search for Wisdom as for hid treasures; The ear of the wise seeketh Knowledge; Keep understanding, sound wisdom and discretion; Discretion shall preserve thee; Defer anger; Seek Good doctrine, Peace, Prudence, Uprightness, Favour, Good Understanding; With all thy getting get Understanding; Cease from strife. All my ways are before Thee.

Get Wisdom: Let thine heart retain my words; Walk uprightly; Keep thy heart with all diligence; Love not sleep; Hear the Reproof of life, Instruction, Correction; Hate evil, Refuse the evil; Choose the Good; Love pureness of heart. He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. He that is slow to anger appeaseth strife; A gift in secret pacifieth anger; Anger is outrageous; Depart from the snares of death; Depart from hell beneath; By the fear of the LORD men depart from evil; Devise good.

A proud heart stirreth up strife; The belly of the wicked shall want; greedy of gain; The soul of the wicked desireth evil; If you sow iniquity, you will reap vanity; Discord, flattery, subtil of heart, fair speech, folly, mischievous madness. Evil men's hearts study destruction; The wicked shall fall into mischief; The wicked shall fall by his own wickedness; He that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief; Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fallHe that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once; Where no counsel is, the people fall; A prating fool shall fall; Whoso diggeth a pit, shall fall therein.

The candle of the wicked shall be put out; Calamity shall arise suddenly; A fool returneth to his folly; The kisses of an enemy are deceitful; They that forsake the law praise the wicked; When the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn; If a ruler hearkens to lies, all his servants are wicked; The thought of foolishess is sin. The evil man leaves the paths of uprightness and walks in the ways of darkness; The strange woman's paths lead to death; Enter not into the path of the wicked; The simple inherit folly; The simple believeth every word; The simple pass on, and are punished.

ONLY TWO FAMILIES

There are only two spiritual families here in the earth: the family of God the Father, and the family of Satan. You are in one of these families at this very moment. You must be born into the family and kingdom of God, through faith in the Son of God, and by the power of the Spirit of God. Until your Soul is rescued/translated out of Satan's kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of God's dear Son, you are by nature blinded and held prisoner in the family of Satan, and you are by nature a child of the devil. If you don't believe me, see Acts 26:18; Colossians 1:13, and other Bible verses below.

You can't go to heaven when you die, unless you've had three fathers: (1) your physical father, (2) your father the devil, and (3) God the Father. It doesn't matter what your last name is here in time, what really matters is this: What family does your Soul belong to, right now?

Only The Lord Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit can rescue your helpless Soul from the god of this world, Satan, for he is your evil father whether you like it or not, and you are being held captive by sins' shackles and cold bars of unbelief in his dark kingdom.

Now carefully consider: There's only two groups here in the earth: the just and unjust, the saved and the lost, the quick and the dead, the wheat and the tares, the sheep and the goats, the just and the wicked, the righteous and the wicked, the evil and the good, the blessed and the cursed, the beloved and the workers of iniquity, the living and the dead, light and darkness, the congregation of the righteous and the congregation of the dead, the saints and the sinners, the freemen and prisoners, the redeemed and the captives, the servants of righteousness and the servants of sin.

If you're not in Christ (The Prince of Life, The Prince of Peace), you are currently in Satan (the prince of this world, the prince of the power of the air), and taken captive by him at his will. Be wise: Give The Lord Jesus Christ your heart's best attention, He offered up Himself for all your sins against God, give total assent to His Gospel, and then trust HIM alone to your Sin Bearer for your immortal Soul. Fling all your righteousness to the wind, and Trust only to His perfect Righteousness to cover your naked Soul in the sight of The Almighty in the great day of His Wrath and Judgment to come.

The Family of God:
  • Children of God (Matthew 5:9; Romans 8:16)
  • Children of your Father (Matthew 5:45)
  • Children of the kingdom (Matthew 8:12)
  • Children of the Highest (Luke 6:34)
  • Children of Light (John 12:36; Ephesians 5:8)
  • Children of the living God (Romans 9:26)
  • Children of God by faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:26)
  • Children of promise (Galatians 4:28)
  • Children of the day (I Thessalonians 5:5)
The Family of Satan:
  • Children of the wicked one (Matthew 13:38)
  • Child of hell (Matthew 23:15)
  • Ye are of your father the devil (John 8:44)
  • Thou child of the devil (Acts 13:10)
  • Children of disobedience (Ephesians 2:2; 5:6; Colossians 3:6)
  • Children of wrath (Ephesians 2:3)
  • Children of the devil (I John 3:10)

THE GOOD FIGHT

The Lord is a Man of war: the Lord is His name. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Gird thy sword upon Thy thigh, O most mighty, with Thy glory and Thy majesty. They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera. Through God we shall do valiantly: for He it is that shall tread down our enemies. In what place therefore ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us: our God shall fight for us. Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and HE doeth according to HIS will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay HIS hand, or say unto HIM, What doest Thou?

Eleazar arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the Lord wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand.

For it became HIM, for Whom are all things, and by Whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the Captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.

This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare. For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for His sake; Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me. For I would that ye knew what I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh.

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air.

Enlist Today!
Recruiting Station is at The Cross
Rallying Point is at The Cross

For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house.

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful. Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and HE that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness HE doth judge and make war. And the remnant were slain with the
of HIM that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of HIS mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Your Soul will be often threatened unpredictably by enemies within and without; stay focused and vigilant; when you want to win the Battle, there is only one Constant - The Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS

For they being ignorant of God's Righteousness
and going about to establish their own righteousness,
have not submitted themselves unto
The Righteousness of God.
* Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a Righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In HIS days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His name whereby He shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
* In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of RIGHTEOUSNESS to grow unto David: and HE shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
* I will make mention of Thy RIGHTEOUSNESS, even of Thine only.
* I will praise the Lord according to His Righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.
* They shall come, and shall declare His Righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that He hath done this.
* The Lord hath made known His salvation: His Righteousness hath He openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
* The Lord is well pleased for His Righteousness' sake; He will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
* O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the Righteousness of THE LORD.
* I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against Him, until He plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: He will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold His righteousness.
* And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous.
* For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
* But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS; and all these things shall be added unto you.
* Because He hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in Righteousness by that MAN Whom He hath ordained; whereof He hath given assurance unto all men, in that He hath raised HIM from the dead.
* And as Paul reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
* Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His Righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.
* To declare, I say, at this time His Righteousness: that He might be Just, and the Justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
* For therein is the Righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
* But now the Righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
* Even the Righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
* But to him that worketh not, but believeth on HIM that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for Righteousness.
* For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the Righteousness of faith.
* For Christ is the end of the law for Righteousness to every one that believeth.
* For with the heart man believeth unto Righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
* For God hath made HIM to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the Righteousness of God in HIM.
* To them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the Righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
* For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of Righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
* That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through Righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
* But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
* Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
* For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
* And be found in HIM, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the Righteousness which is of God by faith:
* Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
* For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
* And be found in HIM, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law but that which is through the Faith of Christ, the RIGHTEOUSNESS which is of God by Faith.
* Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
* But Now the Righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and prophets; Even the Righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
* Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Chrst, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
* But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by Faith.
* But to him that worketh not, but believeth on HIM that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for Righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto who God imputeth Righteousness without works.
* For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
* For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness.
* Justified by the Faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

THE MARK (3)

I press toward the Mark for the Prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. For to me to live is Christ: I have no other aim in my brief existence. The first thing in life each day should be to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in all we think, say, or do. My main business is to love God, live for Him, deny and lay aside self, and give myself up wholly to the Father for Jesus' sake. To bring souls to Christ is my main endeavor. The most loving and lovable of all beings is The Lord Jesus Christ; We love HIM, because He first loved us. The very height of my Ambition is to live entirely according to the will of God in Christ Jesus. It is the LORD, let Him do what seemeth Him good. Live unto Jesus Christ and His things, not yourself and your stuff.

One Aim only is worthy of my immortal being - trusting in, and living for Jesus Christ. The great end and aim of the Holy Spirit: to draw sinners to Christ and conform the saints to Christ. We are Christ's workmanship, created in Him unto good works. The Mark is to be conformed to Christ's character in my inward parts, to hear Him, to learn from Him to be meek and lowly, to desire to be like Him among the lost, to be conformed to the divine will of God. Set the laser beam of your Love on Jesus always. Professors study doctrines; Disciples learn doctrines, worship the Father, hear and receive the Savior, and practice His good works and complete His errands of mercy.

What matters the very most
at the end of each day is this:
how I made The Lord Jesus Christ feel,
not how I made man feel.

Declutter your mind, heart and life; let not your mind be crammed with nonsense and vanity. Just like a house where a hoarder lives, you cannot move through the house, no liberty at all; because it is filled with unneeded debris. Simply your life, lay aside every weight, lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, keep yourselves from idols, remove the heaps of rubbish, keep thyself pure, keep yourself from idols.

Aim at the Glory of God and being cheerful in everything you think, say, or do. To glorify God is the sole object of all my efforts, the express aim of my being and living. Christ Jesus is the entire object of my Faith, Hope and Charity. This Man shall be the Peace. My brain was made to think and learn about Jesus; my heart made to trust, receive and love Jesus Christ; my Soul was made to commune with my Heavenly Father; and my body was made to yield, serve and magnify the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Sweetly yield to the gentle checkings and drawings of the Holy Spirit. My only fear is my fear of offending God - the Fear of the Lord.

The greatest and sole object of the Gospel of Christ is the glory of God. The highest Glory of the Gospel is The Cross. Aim at the one point of absolute necessity - Ye must be born again of the Spirit of God. Aim at Purity by the Holy Spirit. My earnest aim is to yield my members to the Holy Spirit and follow the Lord Jesus Christ. The goal and aim should always be to perfect holiness in the fear of the Lord. My highest ambition is to be sanctified in spirit, soul and body. The dear object of my Faith is a Person, living and divine, the God-man, none other than Emmanuel, God with us. It is a pleasant task each day to render personal service to JESUS, directly and distinctly for Christ Himself, His Cross, and His Cause. My master-passion absorbs my focus and energy - JESUS is His name. One thing should always be upon my heart, and that is to honor the Lord in all that I do.

Above all things, aim at saving souls from the wrath to come and the love of sinning. The drift, the end, the aim is by all means save some. Live for Christ and let Christ's glory be the great object and focus of my being. To glorify Jesus Christ is the dearest object for the saved Soul. The great object is that men may be saved from their sins, purified by faith, conformed to the image of Christ, and become disciples and examples of integrity, honesty, purity, chastity, and righteousness, and be filled with the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

The great object of Jesus' life was to please the Father and lay down His life for the sheep. The most important of all matters is that you Trust your soul with Christ, delight yourself in the LORD, and never trust yourself. The chief end and object of the Savior's life was to glorify His Father's name. Christ Jesus is the sole object of my Faith, upon Him only do I lean

The chief Aim of my heart should not be Self, but willful submission to God and cheerful service to Christ. I am dead to everything but the glory of God, so that Christ is glorified in my mortal body, this is the Mark before me. Laboring with divine ambition to please Jesus Christ in your thoughts, wishes, desires, in everything that is about you. Concentrate all your thoughts, faculties, and energies upon this one design: to be acceptable with Jesus Christ, live for Him alone, please Christ in everything you do, with sincere, humble Ambition.

Make God's glory the one aim and object of my life. From the first to the last, Jesus set the Father always before Him as the object of His life here on earth. The object of Christ and the design of the Gospel is the saving of sinners, to justify the unrighteous and ransom the ungodly. Christ Jesus is the great object of my being, my whole energy and strength. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he; therefore the more thoughts of Jesus I have, the better off I will be. Glorifying and worshiping God, persuading and winning sinners to Christ, cheering and encouraging the saints to keep on for Jesus: this is my noble aim.

Honor the Lord Jesus Christ, or you will have completely missed the end and object of your being and existence here on earth. Never let a day pass by without doing something specially with one object of pleasing Christ in it. The whole object of the Gospel is to bring sinners nigh to God in Christ Jesus, and put down every rival. The chief object of saving Faith is Christ Jesus and His Most Precious Blood. This one thing I do, to aim to be more like Jesus Christ day by day. My master-impulse is the constraining love of Christ, my master-aim is my Father's glory, my master-power is the Holy Spirit Himself.

The Christian's sole aim in life is to live for God's glory and Christ's magnification. I am altogether Christ's and my object is to praise, bless and magnify God. The worldling's first and last aim is to make money and blow it on nonsense. Yearn over perishing souls, care for the glory of God, rest in the Lord, and serve the Lord, that is my main Business.

Stay my Soul upon the LORD, that is my sole concern. To wait only upon God, for my expectation is from Him. The honor of Jesus is my chief concern from day to day, only let Jesus Christ be magnified, and this world has small significance to me. I am as eager for souls as worldly misers are for filthy lucre. Stay eager to do what God bids me, only as the Holy Spirit enables me. Cling to Jesus with a firm personal grasp, yearn to be more like Him, and desire to live His life day to day.

THE MARK (2)

I press toward the Mark for the Prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. What is your great Aim in this life? The motive is the Eye of the Soul. What do you have an Eye to? What/Who are you living for each day that God wakes you up? What is the principal Aim with you? Is your heart engaged to seek the LORD and and set to please Him? The main object and chief Aim should be to please the Father. Get your Aim and Desire set on Christ. Get your heart fixed on HIM, do not be fickle. Be wise: Focus on and Aim at God's glory. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the LORD, and not unto men.

A Marksman cannot hit a target if he is aiming at something else, neither will a man's ambition please God, unless his ambition is fixed on Christ with heavenward thoughts and desire. The one main object of my Hope and Peace is Jesus Christ Himself: Who He is, what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do. My chief Aim is to bring sinners to Christ: persuade them to trust Christ, and to esteem Him highly, and to rejoice and glory always in Him. Keep on swimming upstream through the debris.

The center of the Target, the Bullseye, where Faith aims and fixes itself is this: The Precious Blood, The Cross, The Atonement, The Substitutionary Finished Work of God manifest in the flesh. True Faith never loses it Aim - True Faith is fixed on the Precious Blood of the Lamb of God alone. The only way a Soul can ever come out of the cold brutal winter of Sin it is enduring, and enter into the warm Spring of Life and Salvation is through Faith in The Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

What are you pursuing today, mammon or your Maker? The Lord's service is the principal thing in life: we must labor in connection with Him, in His yoke, by laying all our talents and faculties at His feet, and spending and being spent for Him. This is the highest and noblest thing in your life that can be achieved is this: if you spend All for God, and win Christ, that will be glorious gain, your highest profit, and your best success that could ever be obtained in this life. Worship God in spirit and truth, enjoy Christian fellowship, and be useful in promoting and expanding the cause and kingdom of Christ.

The truly born again Soul lives unto God, and his object in life is the Glory of God, and the good of fellow Souls near him. This is the priceless Prize which is set before the saved Soul, and toward this Prize we should run: Looking unto JESUS, the Author and Finisher of our Faith. The great Provider of the Saving Grace of God and Purifying Faith is Christ Jesus, the Son of the living God, no one else can help us down here below. The great object of the Holy Spirit is your immediate conversion to Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. JESUS is the craving, yearning, and sighing of my Soul; I hunger for Him, and to be more like Him.

This world is trying its dead-level best to coax you with their hoax, and they have a brand new hoax every week to try to ensnare you. The chief end of this world is to gain and hoard money and enjoy carnal pleasures while they can. The Christian must be earnestly focused on Christ Himself and get heavenly guidance and instructions from Him and become useful in His kingdom and vineyard. The one aim and design of the Gospel is that souls may be saved by Emmanuel's Words, Blood, Love, and Spirit. JESUS should be the main thought of my day, the chief delight and object of my affection. The very Best Person should have the very best of my thoughts and affections.

The very noble cause of Christ, the will of God the Father, and what the LORD desires, is far above the aims of lost, carnal men. The end and object of my being, the beautiful object of my desire is Christ Jesus the Lord. The fact and object of my Faith which has been given to me from above is Christ's glorious Finished Work -- His Blood and Righteousness. He offered Himself for me. Therefore, the one great Mark of my heart is to glorify Christ in the little and big things of my life, and do my very best to extol His dear name and exalt His precious Cross in whatsoever I do. Jesus' end and object was to please the Father, to do His will, to finish His work, and bring us to God through His passion performed and finished at Calvary.

Let us give all our thoughts and care to this one object: How can I please the Father? How can I be pure in my heart for Jesus' sake? How can I win sinners to Christ? Am I concerned about lost souls? How can I comfort, cheer, and encourage others? How can I live here today as Christ would live? How will this deed please and honor the LORD? What is leading me? What/Who am I pursuing with my heart, faculties and energy?

The highest pursuit in this life is Christ; Follow in His steps. The service of Christ deserves my very best consideration, concentration, action and endeavor. The chief aim and choicest object of Faith is Christ Jesus Himself. My chief business today is to stay in heart communion with Christ and seek lost sinners the best way I can.

THE MARK (1)

Seek ye First the Kingdom of God, and His Righteousness. Seek The King, and His Righteousness. Human nature refuses to seek The King of Righteousness, The Lord Jesus Christ, and goes about to establish its own righteousness, trying to make itself acceptable in the sight of God, and refuses to submit itself to the Righteousness of God. Until a man or woman is born again of the Spirit of God, they in the kingdom of darkness, under the dominion of their own Sin and Satan.

You must be born into and translated from the kingdom of darkness into The Kingdom of God by the Spirit of God. First of All, you must receive The King and His Righteousness, and the Spirit of God birth you into the Kingdom of by His mighty power. Until you are born again by the Spirit of God, and until God gives you repentance t the acknowledging of the Truth, JESUS CHRIST, you remain a servant and slave to your Sins, and are taken captive by the Devil at his will. (II Timothy 2:25-26) A servant of sin, or a servant of Righteousness, whose servant will you be today? First of all, you must be weaned from all self-love, self-reliance, and self-glorying. Take steady aim, shoot at the center of the Target: Love JESUS Himself, lay hold on HIM with a firm resolute grip from your heart. Now I get it: With all my being and strength, I need to come into Focus on The Lord Jesus Christ. He must increase, but I must decrease.

Rebellious self-righteous human nature refuses to come under the dominion of Christ and give Him all the glory for Salvation. The highest Liberty comes to a Soul when he wears the yoke of Christ, growing in grace, becoming more and more obedient to Christ's divine will. Let JESUS rule in your inward nature; submit to His reign over you; full resignation to His divine will. There is Joy in complete submission to JESUS, Rest is full resignation, and Peace in unconditional surrender. First, submit to Christ's Righteousness (find in Him immediate, free Eternal Life), then submit to His Rule (Yoke), and find in Him Rest and Peace, and it will be very well with your Soul.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of Wisdom, the Highest Wisdom, the Root and Foundational Wisdom. The fear of the Lord is to fear offending God and to fear committing your sins against God, and to depart from your evil. We must submit ourselves to Christ Jesus, and find in Him Righteousness and Eternal Life. Faith in Christ leads to cast all our sins down at the Cross, and the Holy Spirit brings us an inward life of true righteousness. Faith in the Precious Blood of Christ brings us into the Kingdom of God's Dear Son.

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. If the Son therefore shall make you Free, ye shall be free indeed. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty. For The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but Righteousness, and Peace and Joy in the Holy Ghost. Being then made free, ye became the servants of righteousness. Stand fast therefore in the Liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. He that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman.

The Mark is to be Christ's humble, loyal subject in the Kingdom of God. We must yield to His supreme sway and become more and more obedient to His divine rule and reign over us. To enjoy Christ's dominion over us where true Peace, Joy and Freedom exists. We must receive Christ personally, and trust to His great Blood Atonement for our sins, for apart from His Precious Blood, there is no Salvation or true service to God in this life. Once we have entered the Kingdom of God, we will seek to know and love the King, and seek to bring others to know the King of Grace and to enter His Kingdom and Dominion. Let the Peace of God rule in your hearts. A man who lives for Jesus Christ lives most and lives best, far from the dominion of sin. And ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you Free. But now being made Free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit until holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Seeking the full rule and reign of Christ over our heart, being, and members. This should be the main object in our life in order for us to live a peaceful, well-ordered, fruitful, useful, joyful, honorable life in the sight of God and men. Let the Peace of God rule in your heart. Let the Man Christ Jesus have dominion and reign over you; Hear, Receive, Learn, and Do as the King desires, and the God of Peace shall be with you. Let the Prince of glory's kingdom come within every part of you. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the Law, but under Grace.

The one object of my being is the reign and glory of God, and to please Him. I press toward the Mark for the Prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. What you are aiming at, that is what you will hit; and whatever you are following, that is where you'll end up; there's no doubt about that. Silly blind souls are easily distracted and decoyed by this world's nonsense, whims, spells, delusions. My master-motive should always be to please God, not myself or men. After we are new creatures in Christ, a newer and higher motive sways us: seek God, not self. For to live for Christ is Abounding Abundant Life, but to live for your own personal vain glory is to be dead while you just wretchedly exist here in this present evil world.

God Almighty is my Maker, Preserver and Redeemer, and He should be the great object of my life; He is the King Eternal who rules and reigns over my nature, my motive's power, and that for which I live. What the LORD aims at, I should be aiming at, and what the LORD desires, I should desire. If my eye is Single, then my whole body shall be full of light.

Be earnest in the glorifying of God, and diligent in the winning of souls to Christ Jesus Himself. For ye are not your own; For ye are bought with a price: therefore Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. My one Desire is to magnify Christ in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. This is not a duty, by my privilege and delight.

Grace is the gracious working of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and lives. Grace causes us to long after Christ and pant after conformity to Him in our daily conversation and conduct, privately and publicly. Even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. My main and only object is to magnify Christ and glorify the Father. Regard and acknowledge God's words, seek the glory of God, pursue the salvation of souls near to me, use scriptural means to enlighten the lost, live to be an example for others to follow. Ready and willing to consecrate every ability and faculty of my mind, body, heart and soul to the grandest Cause, that is, the furtherance of the Gospel. Dedicated to my Deliverer, Consecrated to my Crucified Creator, Loyal to the King Eternal, Offering myself up wholly to the One who Offered up Himself for me: this is the sweetest and happiest place that I can ever be. I will carry the will of God in my heart, and in every action consult with my Father about that Will

My first object is to glorify God. My main object in living is to make Jesus known, win more hearts to God, more souls to Jesus, more minds to the Holy Spirit; the Quickener of born again souls. Yield myself to Christ Jesus with full concentration of mind and heart. To cast away sins I once loved, and focus my glory in the Cross. The greatest Wonder of All is that JESUS would save the most worthless sinner of all - ME.

The Cross is the sole source and object of my glory. I seek to be more like the Savior in my thoughts, words, actions, and everyday life. I have been born from above, and now I must live from above. Adore the living Christ with living love. Chewing on the bitter husks of religion and self never satisfy the soul. Pray the Lord's work will be lasting in the hearts you deal with each day. If any man thirst, He will surely come to Jesus, and drink of the water of life freely. Pray the Holy Spirit will create this deep thirst in the hearts of those souls you witness to; this thirst is the only thing that will bring a soul to Christ; not our particular words, but our sincere compassion.

Only the everlasting God can give you everlasting Life through the everlasting Gospel of Christ, not religion with all its performances and observances. Christ Jesus living IN YOU, and His words being engrafted into your very inward nature, nothing short of this will ever save your soul. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can prepare your Soul to safely enter Eternity. With purpose of heart, cleave unto the Lord Jesus Christ. Never trifle with the Gospel: if you are Lost right now, your first object in life must be to understand the Gospel and heartily receive Jesus Christ, simply trusting your Soul into His dear hands.

Cheerfully do the Lord's bidding, count it a delight and privilege to do His will. My one object is to bring sinful men to Christ. My only instructions are the Scriptures; my one subject is Christ; my only Instructor is the Holy Spirit. My one message is Christ Crucified, and my one Glory is the Cross of Christ. I magnify The Lamb of God's Precious Blood beyond everything, and put very special emphasis there. Mark it down, get it down pat: No one but The Lord Jesus Christ Himself, can do helpless sinners any lasting Good in this life.

FOLLOW: A BIBLE WORD

And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way. Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil. But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it. Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the Lord. And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart

And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow HIM: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. And Ahab did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom. And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them, that they should not do like them.

For he clave to the Lord, and departed not from following HIM, but kept HIS commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses. And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.

And Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel, and made all that were present in Israel to serve, even to serve the Lord their God. And all his days they departed not from following the Lord, the God of their fathers.

So neither I, nor my brethren, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard which followed me, none of us put off our clothes, saving that every one put them off for washing.

They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is. My soul followeth hard after THEE: Thy right hand upholdeth me. But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it. They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from Thy law.

He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding. The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the Lord: but He loveth him that followeth after righteousness. He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour. He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.

Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and HE shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.

And he saith unto them, Follow ME, and I will make you fishers of men. And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed HIM. And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and He saith unto him, Follow ME. And he arose, and followed HIM. The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow ME. And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and His disciples: for there were many, and they followed HIM. Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and His disciples follow HIM. And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, He said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow ME. And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the Light of the world: he that followeth ME shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow HIM: for they know His voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. My sheep hear My Voice, and I know them, and they follow ME

If any man serve ME, let him follow ME; and where I am, there shall also My servant be: if any man serve ME, him will my Father honour. Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow Me now; but thou shalt follow Me afterwards. Peter said unto Him, Lord, why cannot I follow Thee now? I will lay down My life for Thy sake.

And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed HIM, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after ME, is not worthy of Me. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. And immediately he received his sight, and followed HIM, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God. Now when Jesus heard these things, He said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow ME.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow ME. Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow ME. And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.

And he came out, and went, as He was wont, to the mount of Olives; and His disciples also followed HIM. But Peter followed HIM afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end. And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest. And Peter followed Him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him. And there followed Him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented Him. And the women also, which came with Him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how His body was laid.

And the angel said unto Peter, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision. Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.  Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children.  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. For HE is our Peace. Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow HIS steps

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of HIS majesty. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow The Lamb whithersoever HE goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And the armies which were in heaven followed HIM upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

IMAGINATIONS

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. For the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. For I know their imagination which they go about, even now. For the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts. For I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them. Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against Me.

I was pricked in my reins. They were pricked in their heart. It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. For He looketh unto the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven.

Keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of Thy people, and prepare their heart unto Thee.

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. But have walked after the imagination of their own heart. Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart. This evil people, which refuse to hear My words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them.

And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto Me. And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart. They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have Mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me. Thou hast heard their reproach, O Lord, and all their imaginations against me. The thought of foolishness is sin. Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

He hath shewed strength with His arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

THE WORLD TO COME

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Verily I say unto you, I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that His hour was come that He should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own which were in the world, He loved them unto the end. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come

That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come

Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

THE DELIVERER
