A nation/state ultimately gets the leadership it collectively and morally deserves, and that leadership will lead that nation/state into further integrity or depravity. A nation filled with greediness, sex perversion, pride, lying, Christ-rejection, laziness, arrogancy, and baby-killing environmentalists reaps what it sows with its leaders. The root causes of sin-loving, man-pleasing America's moral decay are no fear of God, ignorance of the Bible, no love for Christ, the slighting of the Gospel, and zero sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. And the afflicted people God wilt save: but His eyes are upon the haughty, that He may bring them down. Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before Me: therefore I took them away as I saw good. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord Jesus Christ alone shall be exalted in that day.
