No Sin?

And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not, might see; and that they which see, might be made blind. And some of the Pharisees which were with Him heard these words, and said unto Him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

The religious smart-alecks and know-it-alls of Jesus' day thought they saw, but they remained blind in their sin and religiousness. The religious crowd thought they had it all together, they thought they had arrived. But they only had head knowledge of the Law, and their hearts were deeply polluted with sin. They had the external appearance of being spiritual, but they had never truly faced their inward darkness. They see sin in the world, but not in themselves. They abhor the immorality in others, but not their own sins. The religionist prefers his own natural darkened understanding to Christ's Wisdom.

The religionist cares much about religious convictions (do's and don'ts), so much that every area of his life is subjected to his convictions, even more than some actual Christians, but he remains blind in his religious pride. They were self-confident and self-sufficient. But those who received spiritual sight from Jesus are those that first sensed their need, and acknowledged their spiritual blindness and inner darkness, and then they sought Christ Himself for true sight and light. All of our hearts are grossly dark, and we are in desperate need of Christ Jesus, the Light of Life.

Now understand - We have nothing in ourselves, and we never will, to commend us to God. The way to see is to admit we are blind. The hungry will be fed, the poor will be given alms, the naked will be clothed, the sick will be healed, the blind will be made to see, but the rich will be turned away empty. Only Christ Jesus can cause our hearts to see Him. Now remember, the best beggars always obtain what they need from the King of Kings and obtain sight, and if we remain humble at His feet, we will keep on seeing.  You see, Jesus took all the Payment for my sins when He laid down His life for me, and now there is nothing left for me to pay.

For God hath made Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the Righteousness of God in Jesus. Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. And ye know that Christ Jesus was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin. And if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. The Blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin.

Only Christ Jesus Himself who had no sin can freely forgive and put away all your sins, so that your soul is Justified and has no sin on it in the sight of God. Own your sinfulness, admit your blindness, and Jesus will give you His forgiveness here and now. Free Salvation through Faith in His Precious Blood is the only way to obtain spiritual sight. Trust God now to save your guilty soul through the Atoning Blood of Jesus Christ (God in human flesh), and all of your sins (past-present-future) will be instantly put away and forgotten forever (II Corinthians 5:19-21; Colossians 2:13).
