This is the Gospel (3)

Stay conscious of your frailty, the near approach of mortality, and the certainty of death.  Realize your sin is a great evil for which divine pardon is necessary.  Your sins are a horrible and detestable thing in the sight of God.  You have neglected and rejected Christ all through your life. You think that all men are mortal but you, but you are in imminent peril and will soon be damned eternally if you die in your natural unregenerate state.  The carnal mind is in opposition to the Bible, the Gospel and Christ Himself.  Self-conceit leads a man to oppose the Gospel, because he thinks he knows better than the eternal God. Just as you would abhor and avoid a hypodermic needle covered with AIDS, even so God detests your sins. Lay hold upon Jesus Christ now by believing upon Him, and receive grace and life from His divine power.

Think much of Jesus Christ who was once crucified upon the Cross and died as the atoning Sacrifice for human sin. Repose your heart upon Christ Jesus the Lord.  Believe that Jesus is able to save you from sin, by an act of Faith, to commit your soul into His keeping that Jesus may save it.  Trust in Him at once for all that your soul needs.  Come to Jesus Christ for everything.  Salvation is free because Jesus paid for it with His own blood. Jesus Christ was God manifest in the flesh bleeding and dying upon Calvary's tree in agony, the Just for the unjust, that we might be saved.  Humbly repose your soul in the atoning Sacrifice of God's Son. Implicit reliance upon God's blood and promises.

The very center of the plan of Eternal Redemption is the Incarnate God.  Faith in Jesus Christ saves us from self.  The only qualification for admission into a hospital is for a person to be sick.  You may enter into Christ's Hospital if you are sick of your sins.  No sickness, no Physician; no wounds, no Surgeon; no sins, no Savior; no guilt, no Mercy.  Good works are only done out of gratitude and love to God.  None can keep his soul alive.  The pardon of your sins is only possible through Christ's divine Atonement.  Trust in the sin-pardoning God who died for you on Calvary.  The way of Salvation - the only thing required of you is that you be nothing, and trust Christ Jesus Himself to be Everything.  Even our faith in Jesus is a gift of God.  Your demerits make you a suitable case for the merits of the Savior.  Your sinfulness is your only fitness to come to Christ.  The Cross, the Blood, the Wounds of Christ repel and keep sins away.

Go to the Cross by Faith and beg for Mercy at the hand of God - go there with all your sins, misery, guilt, emptiness, and wretchedness.  The whole weight of JEHOVAH'S wrath fell on Jesus.  Jesus was treated as if He was cursed for us.  He was made to be Sin for us, that we might be made the Righteousness of God in Him.  Lay the whole weight of your soul's salvation upon Jesus, upon Him alone.  Your soul is satisfied when Christ is your Savior.  The very pith, core, marrow, essence, and soul of true faith is reliance from Jesus Christ Himself, the Incarnate God offered for human sin.  Sinful men are saved by simply believing in Jesus Christ, by resting upon the Atonement once offered for human sin upon the bloody tree of Calvary.  God mingled His vengeance and love through His Son on the tree of Calvary.

The grand truth of Substitution - The Incarnate God bore your human sin and died in your place, so you could be freely forgiven by the grace of God.  God did lay on Christ your sins, and He was punished for them instead of you.  And if you have trusted Christ for your Salvation, you cannot by any possibility be punished, for that would be unjust for God to exact twice the same penalty for one offense.  Salvation by Substitution satisfies the soul.  Jesus is God and man in one person.  He died for all human sin; this is a Scriptural fact, not myth or fiction.

Jesus is able to save any sinner who calls upon His name for mercy. He is the sinner's only Savior.  The horror of guilt, the need of the Savior, the fear and dread of death and the judgment to come.  If you are alarmed, distressed, amazed, and conscious of guilt, look fixedly to Jesus now.  The wondrous plan of God not imputing unto us our trespasses, because God laid all our iniquities upon Jesus, who knew no sin.  God has provided a way out of the danger that your sins have brought upon you.  On your own, you will never find it; the Holy Ghost must illuminate your mind, regenerate your soul, and quicken your spirit.  Beg the Holy Ghost for true faith in Jesus.

God is angry toward you as long as you continue to neglect His Son and remain in your sins.  Believe in the wondrous plan of Salvation by Another, even in salvation by Jesus Christ.  Christ saves sinners, and He gets all the credit and glory.  Keep before your mind's eye that Jesus is alive and coming again.  You must submit yourself to the plan of Salvation by grace alone, through Faith alone, in Jesus' atoning blood alone.  God only meets the sinner on the footing of grace and faith. Appeal to God's pity and mercy.  Come to God with no claim but Christ's blood shed for you.  Cry for God's mercy, seek His free grace.  Come to Jesus, believe only in His great Sacrifice for sins, find peace with God through the Lamb of God.  Think of Jesus sitting now at the right hand of God making intercession for us.

Believe on the great Crucified and Risen Savior God.  Jesus gave His heart's blood to redeem you. Look directly to the Savior; fix your soul's eye on Him.  Look closely upon Him who is both God and man suffering for sinners, power and pity, majesty and mercy, omnipotence and grace all in one Person, the Lamb of God.  He must have all the Glory.  The whole tremendous debt of sin was laid upon Jesus' shoulders.  The whole weight of our sins was placed upon Jesus' soul.  Your doings are of no avail whatsoever, you must rest on Christ alone.

Take care that you have simple faith, hanging alone on Christ, as a cup on a nail, without any other dependence but Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  Rest your soul in none else but Jesus.  Cease to stand in your own strength, rest wholly upon the Rock of Ages.  Cast aside all your own self-righteousness, and depend simply, wholly and entirely upon God Incarnate.  Depend only on the Blood and Righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ for all you need in time and Eternity, and rest wholly in Him with your mind, soul and spirit.  Trust Jesus, trust Him only, trust Him wholly.

None but Jesus can do helpless sinners good.  Faith brings us into contact with the great Substitute.  Lean upon Jesus with all your guilt, only He is able to bear it all.  The work of the Holy Spirit makes your sins loathsome and unbearable.  Jesus' matchless blood must cleanse your inner man.  Defiled and ruined sinners look to the Cross, God was made flesh and blood, crucified for sinners, and now whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

It is not your goodness, but your guilt must be your plea when you want to be pardoned.  It's your poverty, not your riches, that grants your access to Heaven's divine Charity.  Not your fulness, but your emptiness, not your goodness, but your badness, not merit but demerit.  The preciousness and sweetness of Christ melts the hard hearts of sinners.  The Holy Spirit gives us a consciousness of the presence of God, He leads us to hate our sins, and then urges us to flee to Jesus for shelter.  God's amazing love humbles us.  Come and humble yourself at the foot of the Cross, come to Jesus empty-handed, brokenhearted.  If you are conscious of your sins, look to the Sin-Offering of Calvary.

We always need the constant cleansing of Jesus' blood.  Humbled, afraid, full of sin, conscious of filth.  The best thing is to cling to Christ.  You are a poor sin-sick lost sinner in need of a Savior.  Sin is detestable, abominable, soul-damning, evil and hurtful.  All of your sins were laid upon Jesus on the Cross.  The sinfulness of your nature is a polluted fount from which streams all your trespasses and rebellion.  The vilest sinners out of Hell are welcome at the Cross.  Make sure that your soul is in Christ. Fling alway all other other hopes but Christ, for they are vanity.  Bind yourself to Jesus.  Simple trust, sincere dependence, hearty reliance upon the merciful Mediator.  Earthly religions always cling to self-righteousness and superstitious rites and ceremonies. Cling to Christ, embrace Him by faith in His blood.

To love and serve God is the only thing worth living for.  Believe that God can use you, get to work for Jesus Christ, live pure, expect God's help, and do something for His glory.  Be mindful of God's mercy.  Tell out the Gospel to every sinner you can.   Tell it over and over again.  Believe in Jesus, keep on believing in Him, let your believing grow more and more intense.  Think more of Jesus, love and adore Him more, and grow to be more like Him. Where there is faith, there is always prayer and purity.
