The *Eternal* Cliff

Don't worry so much about the fiscal cliff; you need to get concerned about the eternal cliff of death you are facing.  America will surely pass away one day, but your soul shall live longer than the stars you see in the sky at night.  Your soul will live somewhere in Eternity for as long as your Maker shall live.  If you die in your sins, you will have to pay for those sins for as long as God lives, that's forever and ever. You need to get as concerned about your sins and your soul as you are your paycheck and retirement.

The worldling is so distracted and decoyed by Satan and the cares of this world, that he never thinks about his sins, his soul, or the Blood of Jesus ChristTime is slowly hemming you up into the corner of Death, and there is only one safe way out of Death. *John 10:9; John 14:6*  Jesus said He is the Door and the Way.  Look to Jesus now, not Obama or Ryan, or Reid.  Your eternal cliff is looming larger and closer, come to your senses sinner, stop wasting time with religion. You must come to Jesus on His terms.

If you sense the full guilt of your sins, if you deserve the wrath of God, if you have no merits or righteousness of your own, you are welcome at come to the Cross now.  Confess your inability to meet God's holy claims.  You are unable to do good apart from the Holy Ghost's divine help.  Seek ye the Lord Jesus Christ while He may be found.  Simply be washed in the Savior's blood, and do not think you can help make yourself clean by your own doings.  Whoso putteth his trust in the Lord Jesus Christ shall be safe forever

You must completely deny your own righteousness, or you cannot have the free Righteousness of Christ.  None but Jesus Himself can save a sinner.  I am so glad that God devised a perfect plan through Jesus to save sinners. Only magnify the Savior's atoning Sacrifice.  Worthy is the Lamb that was slain!  Christ Jesus' sufferings have procured for me full acceptance with God.  I have good hope by His amazing grace.  Trust the free promises of God. The Holy Ghost must quicken you from your death in sin and give you daily victory fighting against your sins.  Ascribe all your salvation from first to last to the grace and blood of the living God.

There must be a clear exchange made - Christ must take your sins, and you must take His Righteousness.  Trust to Jesus this very moment and the exchange and transaction is done forever.  You cannot win God's favor by your works.  Let Jesus alone forgive your sins freely, and make your peace with God.  Look by simple faith to His blood sacrifice, and keep the eyes of faith fixed on Jesus.  Salvation is of divine mercy alone.  There can be no mixing of your doing and lying with Christ's doing and dying.

Never depend upon anything of your own to help save you from the Judgment to come.  Become savingly interested in the person of Christ Jesus and His atoning blood.  You cannot remove one speck of your guilt by your own doings.  You are destitute of any righteousness, and of anything that could gain you favor with God.  Salvation is not by your doing, trying or earning; Salvation is by trusting, relying, and confiding in Jesus Himself.

Only Christ's Propitiation and Atonement can change your "Guilty" verdict before God to "Not Guilty".  Jesus must take your guilt away with His own blood.  Your crimes against God can only be expunged by Jesus.  Jesus must be your only Hope.  There is nothing in you that could ever merit Christ's free Salvation.  Believe now that Jesus is able to save your soul simply and entirely.  Salvation comes to sinners only by Divine Grace.  If you are trusting to anything you have done or will do, you are opposed to Christ's way of saving sinners.  It must be Jesus all the way.  Fix your faith on the Savior's Blood Atonement for the ungodly.  Christ asks you to bring to the Cross nothing but your sinfulness and guilt. Come to Christ with an empty hand, and He will give you Everything.  The simple act of trust in Jesus saves the guilty soul.

Jesus of Nazareth, God manifest in the flesh, was born of a Jewish virgin named Mary, He lived a life of perfect holiness, and at the end, He suffered, bled and died to pay for the sins of the whole world on the tree, and then He was buried, and He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and now He ever liveth to make intercession for us. The moment a sinner casts himself upon what Christ has done for him, the instant he confesses himself a spiritual bankrupt, and give up all his doings, and lives upon the Charity of Christ, the moment he takes off his own self-righteous rags completely, and puts on the free Righteousness of Christ, that is when the sinner is born again from above by the Holy Ghost.

Own your guiltiness and indebtedness to the Savior.  Trust God's Son that has made Propitiation and Atonement for your sinful soul.  Only Jesus' blood can rescue you from the damning power of your sins and give you Everlasting Life freely by Grace.  Jesus is Eternal Life. *I John 5:11,12,20*  If you are depending upon your own accomplishments at all, then you cannot appeal to the grace of God in Christ.  Your own righteousness and Christ's Righteousness can never be mingled together.  It must be all works, or all Grace. God's way of free Salvation excludes all of our works.  Christ's Salvation is not of works, lest any man should boast. *Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5* This is God's way - a sinner cannot be saved by his own obedience, but only by Christ's obedience.

JEHOVAH appeared here on earth in the flesh at Bethlehem, His name was Jesus of Nazareth. He lived a life of perfect obedience to God's divine law, and in consequence to that obedience, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross.  The Savior's life and death was a complete keeping and honoring of the Law which we had broken and dishonored so.  Jesus kept the Law we could not keep, and then He suffered for our offenses against God's Law.

God's Plan is simply this - "Sinner, I cannot bless you for your own sakes, but I will bless your for Jesus' sake.  Looking at you, I must curse and damn you, but I laid your curse and sin on My Son at Calvary *Galatians 3:13*, and now, I will pass by your unworthiness.  You have no goodness, but Jesus has infinite Goodness.  You are full of sin and must be punished, but Jesus has been punished instead of you, and now I can deal with you in Mercy if you receive my Son's Righteousness freely by Faith in His Precious Blood.  I can only deal with you upon the terms of My Mercy through the Blood and Righteousness of My dear Son."  This is the Gospel.
