I will love THEE, O LORD, my Strength (Psa 18:1) Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O LORD, my Strength, and my Redeemer (Psa 19:14) Take My yoke upon you, and learn of ME (Matt 11:29) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through HIM that loved us (Rom 8:37) For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself (Gal 6:3) Wherefore let HIM that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall (1 Cor 10:12)
He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth ME: and he that loveth ME shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him (Jn 14:21) If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him (Jn 14:23) Sanctify them through Thy Truth: Thy word is Truth (Jn 17:17) Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against THEE (Psa 119:11)
We love HIM, because HE first loved us (1 Jn 4:19) Prove the sincerity of your love (2 Cor 8:8) Order my steps in THY word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me (Psa 119:133) Continuing instant in Prayer (Rom 12:12) Out of His mouth went a sharp twoedged Sword (Rev 19:15) Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works (Rev 2:5) A just man falleth seven time, and riseth up again (Prov 24:16)
When He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all TRUTH (Jn 16:13) Ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you (Jn 15:16) Who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Rom 8:1,4) But be filled with the Spirit (Eph 5:18) Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Gal 5:16) And be ye Thankful (Col 3:15) And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword (Exo 17:13) The haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out (Judg 3:22) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (Gal 5:25) My meditation of HIM shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD (Psa 104:34) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (Rom 8:14) Where is your Faith? (Lk 8:25)
(Lk 8:25)
Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the Race that is set before us, looking unto JESUS the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before HIM endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider HIM that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against Sin (Heb 12:1-4) He giveth Grace unto the lowly (Prov 3:34) But He giveth more Grace (James 4:6) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live (Rom 8:13) For the love of Christ constraineth us (2 Cor 5:14)
I was also upright before HIM, and I kept myself from mine iniquity (Psa 18:23) That with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord (Acts 11:23) If ye love ME, keep My commandments (Jn 14:15) Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity (Eph 6:24) But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience (Lk 8:15) Faint, yet pursuing them (Judg 8:4) And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (Gal 6:9) Men ought always to pray, and not to faint (Lk 18:1) For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day (2 Cor 4:16) My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of HIM (Heb 12:15) And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted (Rev 2:3)
Keep back Thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me (Psa 19:13) Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matt 26:41) All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any (1 Cor 6:12) Iron sharpeneth iron (Prov 27:17) Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elijah (2 Kings 3:11) And they remembered HIS words (Lk 24:8) Have no confidence in the flesh (Phil 3:3) In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thess 5:18) Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph 5:20) Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God (1 Cor 10:31) The flesh profiteth nothing (Jn 6:63) Go and sin no more (Jn 8:11)
THE EVIL UNDERTOW: Me, Myself, and I; Unbelief; Forgetting God; Neglecting the Bible; Pride; the deceitfulness of Sin; bitterness; the devil; religiousness; ungodliness and worldly lusts; The lust of the eye, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life; fear of man; lusts of other things; deceitfulness of riches; false doctrine; deceitful world; wolves in sheep's clothing; foolish and hurtful lusts; religious nonsense; false teachers; profane and vain babblings; fiery darts of the wicked; cares of this world; physical and spiritual infirmities; filthy lucre; the affairs of this life; the pollutions of this world; reproach and snare of the devil; the yoke of bondage; false brethren; religious kooks; wiles of the devil; devilish devices; sleight of men; sloth; evil thoughts; lustful imaginations; cares and riches and pleasures of this life; false accusers; doubts, fears, sorrow; Prayerlessness; busy there and there; selfishness; discouragement; indifference; lethargy; dozing off; distractions
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (1 Cor 10:13) Be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Col 3:10) Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another (Eph 4:25) Quicken Thou me (Psa 119:37) Lovest Thou ME? (Jn 21:17) Wherefore HE is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by HIM, seeing HE ever liveth to make intercession for them (Heb 7:25) Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it (Psa 127:1)
My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not (Prov 1:10) Help, LORD! (Psa 12:1) When I would do good, evil is present with me (Rom 7:21) These things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous (1 Jn 2:1) For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not (Rom 7:18) Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye (Col 3:12-13) Help Thou Me (Psa 119:86) Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners (1 Cor 15:33)
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: if so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious (1 Pet 2:1-3) I AM the Vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in ME, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without ME ye can do nothing (Jn 15:5) They should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance (Acts 26:20) And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death (Rev 12:11) But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself (Dan 1:8)
And JESUS said to them all, If any man will come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow ME (Lk 9:23) I die daily (1 Cor 15:31) Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but Alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are Alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace (Rom 6:11-14)
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled (2 Cor 10:4-6) But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren (James 1:14-16)
Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes (Job 42:6) O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin (Rom 7:24-25) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor 15:57) He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity (Prov 22:8) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting (Gal 6:7-8) If so be that ye have heard HIM, and have been taught by HIM, as the truth is in Jesus: that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind (Eph 4:20-23)
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life (1 Tim 6:12) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof (Rom 14:13) But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway (1 Cor 9:27) But now being made FREE from Sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life (Rom 6:22) Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love HIM (James 1:12) Do all things without murmurings and disputings (Phil 2:14)
That I may know HIM, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death (Phil 3:10) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with HIM, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin (Rom 6:6) The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Abstain from all appearance of evil (1 Thess 5:22) Walk in wisdom toward them that are without (Col 4:5) Flee also youthful lusts but follow righteousness (2 Tim 2:22). Keep yourselves from idols (1 Jn 5:21) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into HIM in all things, which is the head, even Christ (Eph 4:14-15) Henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness (Eph 4:17-19)
Christ Jesus died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto HIM which died for them, and rose again (2 Cor 5:15) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Christ Jesus that created him (Col 3:5,8-10) For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication (1 Thess 4:3) Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth (Lk 12:15) Keep thyself pure (1 Tim 5:22) But the wisdom that is from above is first PURE (James 3:17) Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of Sin (Jn 8:34)
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul (1 Pet 2:11) Denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world (Titus 2:12) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God (Heb 3:12)
Let us watch and be sober (1 Thess 5:6) Be ye therefore Sober, watch unto prayer (1 Pet 4:7) Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation (1 Pet 1:13-15) Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children (Eph 5:1)
Holding faith and a good conscience (1 Tim 1:19) Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God (2 Cor 7:1) Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another (Gal 5:6) Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves (Phil 2:3) In honour preferring one another (Rom 12:10) Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice (Eph 4:31)
Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? (Rom 6:1-2) That we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness (1 Pet 2:24) He that walketh uprightly walketh surely (Prov 10:9) Do justly, love mercy, walk humbly with thy God (Micah 6:8)
Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the LORD, and Depart from evil (Prov 3:7) And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God (Eph 4:30) Quench not the Spirit (1 Thess 5:19) Let us have Grace whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear (Heb 12:28) For as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness (Rom 6:19) Lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls (James 1:21) Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life (Jude 1:21) Let every one that nameth the name of Christ, depart from iniquity (2 Tim 2:19)
For he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from Sin; that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries (1 Pet 4:1-3) Pray that ye enter not into temptation (Lk 22:40) Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee (1 Tim 4:16) Let us go forth therefore unto HIM without the camp, bearing HIS reproach (Heb 13:13)
