For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. War a good warfare; holding faith, and a good conscience.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them. They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Eleazar arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the Lord wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil. Benaiah went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.
For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. Who for the joy that was set before HIM endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on Stephen, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain. Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother.
Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation: because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me. And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house.
Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus. Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all. But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you. Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.
I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea: that ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also. She hath done what she could.
Our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: who have for my life laid down their own necks. But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus. For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church. By Silvanus, a faithful brother. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
O Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end; be Thou forever near me, my Master and my Friend; I shall not fear the battle if Thou art by my side, nor wander from the pathway if Thou wilt be my Guide. My soul, be on thy guard; ten thousand foes arise; the hosts of sin are pressing hard to draw thee from the skies. O watch, and fight, and pray; the battle ne'er give o'er; renew it boldly every day, and help divine implore.
