You were born in your natural state, just like any dog or cat or bird you may see. If you die in your natural state without a supernatural miracle (The New Birth) occurring in your heart and soul from the Holy Spirit Himself, you will surely die in your sins. God's Righteousness can only be received freely by faith in the Precious Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh. Rejecting and neglecting the Son of God is a revolting sin which provokes the wrath of God towards you every day. *John 3:36* While you remain lost, your soul is cursed with a curse called the Law and Sin, and no religion can ever rid you of that Curse. Christ became a curse (He became Sin) for us on the Cross, so we could be freed from the Curse of Sin. *II Cor 5:21; Gal 3:13*

Mind that you do not trust anything else or anyone else for salvation but Jesus Christ. Cast your guilty soul upon this truth - Christ died for sinners.

The horror and dread of sin comes to us after the New Birth. Ye must born again first, and then you will begin to hate and avoid your sins. AIDS on needles scares people, but not sin in their hearts and minds. Eternal Redemption by Atoning Blood is most needful. Jesus was the great Sacrifice for human sin, He made the complete, absolute, everlasting Atonement, to which nothing from you can be added. Jesus is the single way to approach, the true way to approach to a holy Creator God, the one Mediator between God and sinful men. Self-righteousness is mere delusion. He that believeth not on Jesus is condemned already. Sin is the very essence of hell; the eternal fire is a heart burning with iniquity; the worm that dieth not is a conscience that shall forever torture the immortal spirit on account of its rebellion against God.
Think often of Jesus' life of grief, sorrow, and arduous service for others. Think of His agony and bloody sweat in the garden of Gethsemane, His betrayal and denial, His scourging and stripes, the spitting and scorning, false accusations and reproaches, shame and jeers. Think of Christ's cross, His nailed hands and feet, bruised soul, wounded heart, broken and crushed spirit. Jesus is worthy of your immediate confidence and trust.
Think much of the Son of God - how He lived, loved, served, suffered, bled, died, and rose from the dead. Trust Jesus implicitly, trust Him at once. God became flesh and suffered a bloody atoning death for unworthy sinners. Think much about the world to come, count it very near, rehearse eternal life, prepare to meet thy God. The power of your sins, the tyranny and bondage of sinful habits, the strong cords of evil companionship, and the devices and wiles of the devil can only be overcome by faith in Jesus and His Precious Blood.
Take the sinner's Friend to be your friend, because you are a sinner. Let Jesus be your Savior, because you need saving. Plead His atoning Sacrifice, let Him bear the weight of your sins. Jesus died for you, therefore live for Him. Lay aside pride and self-confidence. Fall back into the arms of redeeming Love. Lean your whole mental and spiritual weight on Jesus. Take your soul to Christ, as you take your money to a Banker, and leave your soul in His hands for safekeeping. Will you avoid and reject Christ, and lose your soul?
The principle of salvation by works exalts man ability and belittles Christ Accomplishments. On that principle you are partly your own Savior. Everything hinges upon what you do, and Jesus Christ is nowhere. You are presuming you will live to see another week, you are speculating upon something as frail as a bubble. You are staking your everlasting soul on the deadly odds that you may live for a few more months or years. When everything goes well with the worldling, he never thinks of God. People always get religious when they get into trouble. Jesus died that you may be cleared from your sins.
Seek the risen, exalted Savior now, and He will heal your sin-sick soul. The Holy Ghost's working will lead you to sense your sinfulness and need of forgiveness. Do not cloak or make excuse for your sins. Own your transgressions and guilt, believe in the appointed Sacrifice, and trust your soul to Jesus. Jesus is the soul Cleanser, soul Dresser, and soul Feeder. As long as you trust in yourself at all, your poor soul is in extreme danger. Unless God through the Holy Ghost visits your lost soul, you will remain dead in your sins.
This is why you don't want to believe in God - you are a sinner, you love your sins, and the thought of being morally accountable to God is abhorrent to you, so you deny His existence. You're in big trouble on Judgment Day. If God gives you justice, you'll be cast into the lake of fire. Human nature says, "Don't try to change me, I like myself just the way I am." God gave you a conscience, so you would know right and wrong. God's is not willing that any should perish. God's lovingkindness will save you for Jesus' sake, if you will simply trust to His Precious Blood.
Exalt Christ Crucified in the power of the Holy Spirit. Day to day become more Spirit controlled. Cleanse, dress, and feed your soul with Christ Himself. Clearly and very plainly declare Jesus to the lost. Throw your soul into the duty where you are most tempted to be slack. Today is an indifferent, careless, thoughtless age which is hard to deal with when it comes to the Gospel. This world has no use for Jesus Christ, and if you believe they do, just start witnessing for Jesus and praising His name, and the world will hate your guts and start plotting against you. Jesus will never leave me, nor forsake me.
