For the Weary

Here's a word in season to him that is weary -- Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; He bore the sins of all men and women upon Himself, and He was punished in my place.  Tell desponding and despairing sinners that Christ died for the ungodly.  Jesus laid down His life as a Substitute for His enemies.  The faith of Christ is a simple act of reliance from the heart upon Christ's great Atoning Sacrifice.  Faith in His Precious Blood is essential.  Come to Jesus in time, or you must depart from Him in Eternity; it must be either deal with compassionate reasoning or severe consequences - Matthew 11:28 or Matthew 25:41 - The mercy of the Lamb or the wrath of the Lamb - John 1:27; Revelation 6:16.

Hear now what God’s word says to you -- you have broken His law, and deserve His eternal wrath, but He beseeches you now by His grace and mercy.  You have no claims upon God; you have no right to expect mercy from Him, because of anything that is in you, but by God's grace, He has set forth Christ Jesus, God manifest in the flesh, to be a Propitiation for your sins, and not for yours only, but for the sins of the whole world.  Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved from the love of sin. Come to Christ by faith in His Blood; trust only to Him; and ye shall be reconciled to God.

If you will simply believe in Jesus' great Atoning Sacrifice, you shall have free, instantaneous pardon and be acceptance in the Beloved for all Eternity.  God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.  For God hath made Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the Righteousness of God in Jesus, and now whosoever believeth in Jesus shall not perish, but have everlasting life.  Oh, yield to Him.

Your goodness is all rottenness in the sight of the heart-searching God. Quit your self-righteousness, your refuge of lies.  Quit your love for sinning now.  Trust wholly to God's Son Jesus; it is God's command to you.  Your own works must not have a finger in your Salvation; you must be saved by grace through faith in Jesus' Precious Blood alone. The Gospel of Grace goes against the grain of self-righteous human nature.  The great soul-saving message is that Jesus died for all sinners, so He could give them free eternal life through faith in His Atoning Blood.  You have broken God's law, and you are condemned for it.  You have no merits of your own, and you have no power to obtain merit in the future, because you are always sinning in some way or other. *James 2:10*

You are by nature a slave of sin.  The matchless Medicine for your sin problem is the Precious Blood of God Incarnate.  Christ died for the ungodly, not the self-righteous.  The only way you can obtain God's love and mercy is by receiving it through the Mediator, the Lord Jesus Christ.  Your case is such a one in which you cannot help save yourself.  God is good, just, right, true, kind and benevolent; God is Love.

Believe that Jesus is the Christ; trust your soul with Him; ask Him now for immediate pardon through His atoning blood.  Rely upon His Precious Blood to make Atonement for your sins.  Salvation by Precious Blood, Regeneration by the power of the Holy Ghost.

By nature, man is spiritually dead; you are nothing else but Sin, and you must be renewed and regenerated in spirit by the power of the Holy Spirit.  You are a sinner by nature and practice.  Be wise - plead nothing that sounds or looks like goodness, but come to the Cross covered in your sins pleading mercy only through Jesus' blood.  Man by nature is an idolater, for he desires to see something tangible and visible to revere or trust in.  Faith in the unseen, purely spiritual worship, and simple reliance upon the promises and blood of God is needful.  God is keeping tabs on you on every day. *Ecclesiastes 12:14*

Human nature tries to appear to be what it is not, and to admire its own image.  You have a natural tendency to sin, and you are liable to eternal death.  The true works of the Spirit are these - when you have an inward abhorrence of your sins, and a loathing of yourself, because of your tendency to transgress against God.  Joy is present, cares are gone, and longings are satisfied at Jesus' feet.  Sin is only conquered at the Cross.  The brevity of life calls for you to do business with God now.  If you put off Christ again, you only harden your heart even more.  Stop halting between two opinions.

All the iniquities and transgressions that have ever been committed by men, and all the crimes that have ever stained humanity do not equal the extent of the enmity to God like the hatred that lurks in the resolve of self-righteous human nature, that would rather be damned than owe its salvation to the free grace of God.  A man hates God, indeed, who hates Him so much that he would rather dwell forever in hell fire, than be frankly forgiven by Jesus and saved freely through the blood of His Son.  Religious man shows his deadly enmity against God to the fullest extent when he destroys his own soul by clinging to his own self-righteousness.

May the Holy Spirit make you athirst, and may Jesus quench that thirst.  *Revelation 21:6; 22:17* Just take the Medicine that God has freely provided for your sin-sick soul - Christ Jesus Himself.  Do but trust Him here and now.  You have nothing in yourself that could ever please God's divine justice.  The one thing you need to know and trust is this - Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

In the Lord Jesus Christ sincerely trust, rest in His blood alone.  Jesus offered up a perfect Blood Atonement worthy to satisfy divine justice.  Jesus' Blood must be between your soul and God's Divine Justice, or you will perish in your sins eternally.  God Himself in the person of Jesus of Nazareth on the Cross offered Atonement for the very sins committed against Himself.  Jesus came not to call the righteous, but sinners to Repentance.  Regeneration must come first, and then Sanctification of the Holy Spirit will surely follow.  Ascribe all the glory and honor to Jesus only.
