That He Might

To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: that He might be just, and the Justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. And that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had afore prepared unto glory. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living. Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father. That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him. That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. And that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby. He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill all things. That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.

Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. Wherefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered without the gate. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity. Verily every man at his Best state is altogether vanity. If a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. Where are your sins right now? Are they on your soul, or are they on JESUS? Will you keep your sins, and go on to hell where you belong, or will you leave your sins, come to Jesus, and go to Heaven? The choice is yours. Be wise - confess your guilt to the Savior, give up your sin before it damns you. The natural man refuses to think soberly concerning his sins and his soul. Simply come to Jesus with your sins and them on the Savior, rely upon Him, trust in His atoning blood alone, ask for His mercy, and He will give you rest from your guilt, rest from your efforts to save yourself, rest from wanting to sin (Matthew 11:28).
