The Most Terrible Thing

The most terrible thing in the world is to live and die without knowing Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. You will see Jesus Christ one day, it's just a matter of time. You may think you won't, but you will. Although thou sayest thou shalt not see the Lord Jesus Christ, yet judgment is before Him; therefore trust thou in Him.

Men are in a big hurry to do everything today - they rush to get to work, to get back home from work, to eat, to make money, to go on vacation, to buy and sell, to have a good time. But they're not in a hurry to seek Christ Jesus at all.  All of your envy, lust, bad temper, self-pity, lying, gossiping, stealing, deceit, selfishness, exaggeration, and rejection of Christ condemns you already.

The religious world offers you a false prescription for your sinful condition. The world prescribes a good life and good works to help get you past the judgment of God. That is a false prescription, it won't work. By grace are ye saved through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. You will face your black record of sin when you die, you're going to need *Someone* to pay for your sins, or you will have to pay for your sins in hell forever. Life is short, Eternity is forever, prepare to meet your Maker - Jesus Christ.

You don't have to know much to be saved and pardoned. You know enough already; you know you're a sinner. You know you're going to die; you sense there is a judgment coming, that is why you dread death. God is able and willing to save you through simple faith in the finished work of His Dear Son. Read closely now - The big thing is that Jesus Christ died especially for you, not just for the world, He died for you personally. Trying to live a good life cannot help save you. You must rely entirely on another Person to save your soul from the hell your sins deserve. A living Savior died for the sins you commit every day. Jesus Christ expects something from you, He expects you to trust your soul with Him (John 1:12; John 5:24). Jesus Christ said if you would believe on Him (rest and rely only on His Blood Atonement and Righteousness) that He would freely give you eternal life. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and whosoever believes on Him hath everlasting life.

Right now, Count on Jesus Christ Himself alone to save you from the Judgment to come, and to keep you out of Hell. Never trust your good life to save you, because you're no good in God's sight. You're a sinner to the core, if you're honest, you know that for a fact. Have done with your own human goodness and count on Jesus Christ's goodness and blood alone to save you. Jesus Christ died in your place - count only on Him to bring your soul safely into Eternity. Whatever you may be relying on to save you from the Lake of Fire, you better drop it immediately, and instead, place all your reliance and confidence on the sinless sacrificial bloody death of Jesus Christ on Calvary's Cross for sinners.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Be it known unto you therefore, that through this man, Jesus Christ, is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: and by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. That's some Good News! Your soul's salvation depends solely upon what Jesus Christ personally did for you on Calvary's Cross 2,000 years ago. Jesus Christ rose from the dead, He's alive right now. If you'll take Him, He'll take you. The question is this: Will you take Him, will you receive HIM? (Matthew 11:28; John 1:12). The Lord Jesus Christ has already said that He would take you. (I Timothy 1:15) There's no question about Jesus' position on this matter. Seek Him now. (John 6:37) Remember - The most terrible thing in the world is to live and die without knowing Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
