And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day. And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Noah walked with God. The Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And Jacob blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day, And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it.
Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear Him. Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear Him, and keep His commandments, and obey His voice, and ye shall serve Him, and cleave unto Him. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in Thy truth. For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in Thy truth: unite my heart to fear Thy name. I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. They also do no iniquity: they walk in His ways. And I will walk at liberty: for I seek Thy precepts. And there is none that calleth upon Thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of Thee: for Thou hast hid Thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in His ways.
Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him. Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly. Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich. Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Let us walk in the light of the Lord. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God.
Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Neither walk after other gods to your hurt. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart. They say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. I am the Lord your God; walk in My statutes, and keep My judgments, and do them.
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein. Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Do not My words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
For we walk by faith, not by sight. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him. Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto His kingdom and glory. Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing. Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.
I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. And this is love, that we walk after His commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
