The Lost Preacher
You can always tell when you're dealing with a lost preacher, because he fails to glory in the Cross, to magnify the Lamb of God, to focus on the Precious Blood of Christ, or to even mention Christ's second coming. The lost preacher speaks of his own thoughts (convictions, do's and don'ts, psychology, dress code, financial prosperity, self-esteem, social issues, etc.), not Christ's thoughts from the Scriptures. The lost preacher speaks much of his own church or denomination. The lost preacher desires self-glory, not Christ's glory. Now understand - Beware of the man that thinks he has some sort of special favor with God because of his baptism, his dress code, his Bible version, or his denomination! The lost preacher underscores vain religion's non-essentials, and fails to underscore the essentials of Christ Jesus. The lost preacher is a career clergy man, who messes around with religion all of his life and then winds up in hell where he belongs. *Matthew 7:21-23* The lost preacher's bottom line is his religious reputation, church's attendance, bank account, $$$. The lost preacher exploits and extorts weak consciences and unstable souls through fear, guilt and superstitious nonsense. The lost preacher is religiously arrogant and will not listen to reason. The lost preacher never prays for he is not related to God spiritually. The lost preacher uses the Bible for his own religious pretense, but he doesn't read, believe, memorize, or love the Bible. The lost preacher wants to you to look to him, not Christ. The reason the lost preacher doesn't mention Christ coming back is because he doesn't want Him to come back, for he is lost and not sure where he is going when that happens. The lost preacher is a religionist who wants you to follow him and belong to his clique, not to follow Christ Jesus Himself and enter into the kingdom of God by faith in Jesus' Blood. The lost preacher speaks of man's doings having something to do with your eternal salvation. The lost preacher never speaks of the White Throne Judgment, Hell, and the love of Sin, because he is not saved from them. The lost preacher leads you to think that your doings bring you into God's favor somehow, and his baptism and church can in some way help take away your sins against God. The next time you go to church, just listen closely to the preacher's words, and see how much he glories in the Cross, magnifies the Lamb the God, focuses on the Sinless Blood of Christ, or even mentions the Second Coming of Christ. Now understand - For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Beware of a lost preacher, which comes to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
