Give Jesus your sins and soul first, and then give Him your love and service. The only character under which we can come to Jesus is as sinners - lost, ruined, dead, and accursed. Your business is not to try to make yourself fit to come to Christ, because you are no good down to the bone marrow. Filthy sinners need cleansing, and naked sinners need clothing. You'll never be born again until you are first disturbed about your sins against God. Human nature is just too proud to be saved by divine Charity. Self-righteous, proud human nature refuses to take a divine handout from the Crucified Creator. Self-righteousness runs in direct opposition to the whole testimony of the Gospel.
You cannot deliver yourself from your sins by your own righteousness. God was made flesh in the person of Jesus of Nazareth - living, suffering, bleeding, dying, risen from the dead - the Son of God obedient unto death for unworthy sinners. Trust to the Great Sin-Bearer. You can never help satisfy divine justice. Only Christ's Righteousness can satisfy God's justice, and His Righteousness is free for the taking. There is enough power in the Blood of Jesus to wash away all your sins instantly and forever, and enough power in Jesus' Atonement to avert the wrath of an angry God, and enough power in His Righteousness to cover your soul, and win for you the smile of God's infinite justice. The sinless Savior bore all our sins, and because of our transgressions, His back was scourged, His head crowned with thorns, His face slapped and spit upon, His hands and feet were nailed to a cross. He put Himself in the sinner's place to bear divine wrath. Jesus stood as the Sin-Bearer and Substitute for us and was accepted by divine justice to bear the whole of God's divine wrath so the guilty could be spared.
Run now to the Righteousness of Jesus Christ, leave your own righteousness behind. Christ's sinless, bloody death is a death blow to your carnal trustings. God will only love you freely, not meritoriously. It is impossible for you to work out your own Regeneration; Jesus must give you eternal life. The foulness of your inward evil nature can only be subdued by the Holy Ghost Himself. Only trust Jesus who lived, loved, bled, died, and rose again from the dead for you, and you will be saved on the spot, saved forever. Your life is all wrong until you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. The Precious Blood is our only means of access to God. Find free pardon for your sins in Jesus' blood; Find shelter in His atoning sacrifice and be washed throughly in the blood of the Lamb. Trust to Christ's Atonement, power, wisdom, and heart.
Hate and reject your own righteousness, or it will be your destruction. Believe with all your heart that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh, and that He made a perfect and full Atonement for human sin. Jesus is worthy to be trusted. Depend on nothing that you've ever done, or ever will do. Rest entirely upon the Person, Righteousness, Blood, and Intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Give up your own self-goodness, and seek Jesus now. You have nothing of your own to trust to. Christ Jesus is the way - He is the sure, safe, and perfect path to God. Jesus endured divine wrath for my soul. Christ Jesus by the grace of God has tasted death for every sinner. Your right standing before God has nothing to do with what you've done, only what Jesus has done for you on the Cross.
All religious activity, accomplishment, and accolades are nothing but dung in God's sight. Adore and exalt Jesus only. Religionists teach that Jesus partly saves you, and then you go out and earn the rest of your salvation the best way you can. Both my hope and rest is found in Christ's finished work alone. The sum and substance of the Gospel is found in the Person of Jesus, in His Blood, Righteousness, and Atoning Sacrifice which speak peace, mercy, pardon, atonement, satisfaction, forgiveness, justification, acceptance with God, and eternal life. Believe in Christ's Atonement. Human nature is completely corrupted by sin, and it is an impossibility for you to be saved without being born again by the Spirit of God.
Every man has a soul; you will stand before God as an individual and give account of yourself to God. Ye must be born again. The Holy Ghost must make you conscious of your sinfulness, your danger, your inability to save yourself, and then show you the Lamb of God who bore your sins and suffered on their account. Flee to the merciful Mediator. Beg Christ to be your Mediator, you cannot face God all alone in your sins. Leave your case in the hands of the Great Mediator. *I Timothy 2:5-6* Christ's Blood is God's method of Reconciliation. Find all your Salvation in Jesus' Blood.
Carefully read the Scriptures, prayerfully ask for the illumination of the Holy Spirit. Realize your inability, yield to Jesus with humility. Really and at once make Christ your Savior. Repent of sins, believe in Jesus Christ, be converted by the Holy Ghost, personally live to the glory of God. Be ye reconciled to God through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. Receive Christ personally to be your Sin-Bearer and Savior. Stake your Eternity on the words of God, the Son of God, and the Blood of God.
Spread the Good News of full Atonement by the Blood and Atoning Sacrifice of Immanuel, God with us. God's love, grace, and mercy comes to us only through a bleeding, sin-bearing Savior. Salvation alone by a Crucified Christ. Human nature misunderstands the Gospel; it thinks that human goodness and self-righteousness qualifies it in some way to come to Christ. But sin and guilt is the only qualification for a sinner to come to Jesus. Self-righteousness keeps a man from Christ; the whole have no need of the Physician, but they that are sick. Personally and actually receive Christ into your heart by placing reliance and dependence in Jesus' finished work.
Christ is my Joy, His Blood is my Safety, His love is my Rest, His presence is my Heaven, His will is my Desire. The essential act of salvation is trusting - the trusting to Christ Himself. JEHOVAH was made flesh and dwelt among us as Jesus of Nazareth. Christ's Substitution saves sinners - this is the essential gospel truth. Faith in the crucified and risen Savior God. Your most urgent need is for the Holy Ghost to illuminate your darkened understanding. Because I tell you the truth, ye believe Me not. *John 8:45* *Galatians 4:16* You have a tendency to sin, and that tendency is your misery. You must be delivered from the propensity to sin by the Holy Ghost and His words.
When your sins and guilt are felt, you will come to Jesus then. Your morality is of no help to you whatsoever. Do not seek to come to Christ with anything, besides your sins. Your main business is to come to Christ as a sick and weary sinner, and ask Christ to cure you of your love for sinning. Totally abhor yourself and close with the blood of Christ. Look to His soul-redeeming blood now. Yield implicit faith to the Gospel. In my sins I was lost, guilty and perishing, but now in Christ I am pardoned, justified, redeemed, accepted, and adopted. Only the Blood of the Lamb of God can appease an offended, angry, incensed God. Christ the Advocate is the Pardoner, Justifier, and Expunger of your crimes against your Maker.
God only gives away His Salvation freely for Jesus' sake. If you bring anything to God in an attempt to earn your salvation, you will be turned away empty. Jesus' finished work is enough and satisfies the Justice of God without your help. The Benefits of the Gospel - Adoption, Regeneration, Sanctification, Free Pardon of Sin, Imputed Righteousness, Redemption, Justification, Reconciliation with God, Heaven, Eternal Life, Forgiveness of Sins, Acceptance in the Beloved, and Glory Everlasting. The disavowal of self and any supposed self-goodness must first be realized by you; this is the work of the Holy Ghost. Christ died to save sinners. God's grace is free. The invitation to the Cross is still open to you right now. Rest your heavy-laden soul on Christ's Blood Atonement.
Free pardon in His Blood, Justification in His Righteousness, Wisdom in His words, Sanctification in the Spirit of God. Lean upon the promises of God, the finished work of Jesus, and the help of the Holy Spirit. God in the person of Jesus Christ bled for human guilt. The Son of God came to seek and save the lost, and now whosoever believeth in Him shall have eternal life on the spot. Jesus bore the sinner's death-penalty in the sinner's stead, and now whosoever believes on Him is justified from all things. God gives His grace freely to the guilty, so freely take it. The Lord Jesus Christ bore our sins in His own body on the tree, and suffered and bled to death for sinners, the Just for the unjust.
The Gospel is the only Remedy for your sin - trust implicitly in the Precious Blood of Christ, heartily forsake your sins and self-righteousness. Receive Christ Himself by faith, and then loathe every evil way. True repentance and faith looks only to the Lamb of God for cleansing from the guilt and power of sin. Believe in the power of Jesus' blood. Undeserved mercy is now available at the Cross. The atoning Sacrifice of Calvary was for your sins. The eternal Son of God poured out His soul unto death for the ungodly. Immanuel was born at Bethlehem, He dwelt at Nazareth, He died on Calvary, He rose from the dead, He ascended into Heaven from Mount Olivet, His work is finished, and the reward of it is given freely to those sinners who believe on Jesus' Precious Blood.
Look only to the Cross where God in human flesh bled out eternal redemption for sinners. There God in Christ Jesus bore human sin and put it away by His bloody death. The Gospel is such a plain and simple matter that heady and haughty people are weary of it and look for something more difficult to understand. The only way any man can receive the free forgiveness of sins is through the merits of Jesus. Jesus will freely give you Everlasting Life if you will take Him as your All in All. If you are dead, Jesus will be your Life; if you are a beggar, Jesus will be your Riches; if you are sick of your sins, He will be your Health; if you are lost, Christ will be your Shepherd. Let Him be your Savior and way to God. Be you nothing, and let Jesus be Everything your soul needs in time and Eternity.
