Sanctification: The day-by-day work of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost through their Precious Blood and words of Grace day-by-day by which the Christian's inward parts (heart, spirit, soul, will, affections, conscience, reins, memory, intellect, faculties) and outward members (eyes, ears, tongue, hands, feet) are purified and/or divorced from our sins and the world's ways, by which we are transformed and conformed to the image of the Son, perfected to a supreme love to the Father, and honoring and glorifying the Father with our lives.
The wisdom that is from above is First Pure. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. I press toward the Mark.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. That which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for Himself. I have given them Thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend. And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men. But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. He that honoureth Him hath mercy on the poor.
Say ye of Him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world. Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
For this is the will of God, even your Sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication. That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in Sanctification and honour. Lest thou give thine honour unto others. That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. That He might sanctify and cleanse the church with the washing of water by the word, Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's. But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and Sanctification, and redemption.
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through Sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto Honour, sanctified, and meet for the Master's use, and prepared unto every good work. He that waiteth on his master shall be honoured. In reputation for wisdom and honour. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered without the gate. Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through Sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called. Keep thyself pure. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of His holiness. Even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. I receive not honour from men. That all men should honour the Son.
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
