Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord He is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. Therefore am I troubled at His presence: when I consider, I am afraid of Him.
When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained; What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that Thou visitest him? Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. Consider how I love Thy precepts: quicken me, O Lord, according to Thy lovingkindness. Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.
If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works? In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, My people doth not consider. And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face. Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. For consider Jesus that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
