Your Day In Court

Mark it down - You will have your day in Court, for every one of us shall give account himself to God.  Do you an Advocate to represent you before God?  You don't want to enter into God's courtroom without a defense Attorney.  Time is the Sheriff who is slowly taking you to God's Courtroom; Time is forcing you in front of the Judge of All the Earth.  Judgment is inevitable for a sinner.  Every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

You're going need a real good Lawyer, because you're a real bad sinner.  Eternal Divine Justice shall be served to every sin-loving Christ rejecter.  The Holy Scriptures confront and disturb the atheist's godless thought patterns and blasphemous behavior.  The atheist insanely takes pride in his blasphemy against God.   The atheist has no interest in Christ being his King and belonging to Christ's kingdom.  The atheist is more concerned about running his own life and building his own little kingdom.  The atheist fashions a god out of whatever he wants and is more interested in his own self-glory.  The natural man says, there must be something less severe and less eternal than the Lake of Fire that the Scriptures talk about.

Nearly every New Testament reference to eternal punishment in Hell comes from the lips of Jesus Christ.  It is as if to imply that Hell and the Lake of Fire are places so terrible that no human being can be depended upon to describe it except the Creator of them – God Himself. According to the Bible, there is an impending judgment and eternal consignment in the Lake of Fire for the unreconciled wicked sinner.  The Great White Throne Judgment will be the terrifying moment when unbelievers will be confronted with the Truth they had denied, neglected, and dismissed.  All of unbelieving mankind shall stand before God, and they will stand all alone with no defender, no Advocate, for they denied the Gospel that they heard or saw – they refused to acknowledge their conscience, the creation, and/or the Gospel of Christ.  All the world of unbelievers will stand in Christ's presence, and He will be the holy, righteous Judge of all the earth (Romans 3:19).  The atheist is too proud to acknowledge their Creator God in heaven, so they will surely be damned forever.  

But how can God send to Hell the pagans who have never heard about Jesus Christ?  Unbelievers all over the world have denied some measure of truth, even if they did not have enough truth to save them.  This is the Truth - Salvation is only through Christ alone.  Every unbeliever condemned to Hell will have actually had truth which he denied.  The unbeliever denies the truth of conscience and the truth of creation.   How can God send to Hell someone who has never heard the gospel?  Well, Regardless of what the pagans did with whatever measure of truth they heard, what have you done with the truth you’ve heard?  Hell for the pagan headhunter in the jungle of a third world country who has never heard the word of God will be nothing compared to what it will be for those who have heard the pleading of the Gospel and rejected it in America.

 In other words, those who had the maximum opportunity to believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and willfully rejected Him will experience the maximum punishment in the fires of Hell.  Most people offer to Christ nothing more than a Sunday glance or a casual nod.  There is a judgment coming and for those who have knowingly rejected Christ, the greatest torments of Hell await them.  We cannot imagine how great their condemnation will be as God the Judge reviews for them their very blasphemous statements, recorded in the book of their deeds. Having heard the Gospel, and outright rejecting it, the suffering of these godless blasphemers will be far greater than we can conceivably imagine.  You must be Born Again, you must be saved by faith in Christ alone.  And remember - your life is only a blip in light of Eternity.  

If you are Born once, you will die twice (Revelation 20:14-15); if you are born twice (John 3:7), you will only die once.  At your first death, your soul will be separated from your physical body.  At your Second Death, your soul and body will be eternally separated from God your Creator.  In Hell, neither the body nor the soul is extinguished.  They will both suffer mental and physical agonies, guilt, greed, lust, pain, thirst, hatred, blasphemy, loneliness, anger, despair, and fear, and all the while the literal burning brought about in the Lake of Fire.  There are two LIES that the world teaches and wants to believe are true:

1) Annihilationism says no one will live in hell forever.
2) Universalism says that everyone will live in heaven forever, no matter what they believe about Christ Jesus.  

Written over the doorposts of hell and echoing down through the corridors of hell is this terrible word, "Forever!"  Hell is both a death sentence and a life sentence; Hell is eternal separation from God; Hell is eternal torment of a never-dying soul and an immortal body.  In Hell, there is no parole; There is no appeal to a higher court; There is no early release; There is no second chance; There is no escape.  Hell is the end of all hope.  Hell is an eternal farewell to mercy, love, rest for your soul, happiness, laughter, and satisfaction.  There is no food, water, children, sunshine, or smiles in Hell.

Hell is farewell to everything that is good, an eternal goodbye to the voice of God and the invitation of grace.  While you are still alive, please settle out of court; don't refuse the offer of the Judge, who will now be your Savior – the payment of Christ's life for your sins is your lost soul's only hope.  If you neglect the Savior who could have been your Savior, and He will one day become your Eternal Judge.  Don't just hear the Truth, and then walk away unrepentent, uncaring, and unredeemed.  One atheist said, “If God sends people to hell, I’d rather worship another god.” He does, he worships himself. Another atheist said, “If God judges people and sends them to hell, I will go to hell just to defy Him.”

To believe in the Lord Jesus Christ is to place full trust in Him alone; to acknowledge that He alone is the Sovereign King of the universe, God in the flesh that died for sinners, Jesus is the the crucified and living God and Messiah. Receive Christ Himself into the inward parts of your spirit. There is a God and He will be your Savior, or one day, He will be your Judge. Always keep in mind that everyone you talk to, work with, and live around are actually immortals. They will never cease to exist. One day you are going to enter into immortal horror or immortal splendor. There is no such thing as ordinary people. We are all immortal souls in need of a Savior.
