Don’t shy off at the mention of Jesus Christ. Talk about Him to those around you like you would your mother or friend, don’t be ashamed of Him. Let your first emphasis always be on Jesus Christ. At all times honor Jesus Christ, always exalt and magnify His name, and give Him the preeminence. Everything about the future is a guess without the Bible. The Lord Jesus Christ is coming back. Religionists get so tied up with religious technicalities; they lose all the blessings of being God’s child. Man is completely incapable of helping himself spiritually. The only man that is safe and secure in this world is a saved man. You are what you think, say and do.
Be sensible, practical and reasonable with your Christianity; give those around you sound, scriptural, real Christian advice to the fundamental problems of life. Wisdom comes from God. Wisdom is knowing how to meet the emergencies of life and death. Give God the proper place in your thinking. Look at things from God’s viewpoint. You can’t get along without God. Let your eye be single, sincerely desire God’s will to be done. Have old time reverence for God. Just keep right on for Jesus Christ. Ask God for more wisdom. Turn the light of the word of God on; the entrance of God’s word giveth light.
The Gospel works, so proclaim it! Talk straight, speak plain, tell out the glorious message of Jesus and His Bleeding Love for unworthy sinners. No man is a good man who doesn’t have a proper relationship to God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Tell the Good News of free eternal life through faith in Jesus' atoning blood. The most heinous sin of which any man can be guilty of is to reject Jesus Christ. Thieves, whores, religionists rapist, do-gooders, dope fiends are all welcome at the Cross.
The wicked are grieved with the Christian, because the wicked are against the prosperity of righteousness and godliness through the Blood and Grace of Jesus Christ. A lost man may love a Christian woman, but he won't love her Christ. Why seek ye the living among the dead? The atheist doesn’t want righteousness to prosper. The more Christians that live in a community, the more lonely a lost sinner feels. The more Christians there are in a community, the worse a bad man feels. The atheist is always grieved in his heart when righteousness prospers.
The Grandest Larceny is to keep your life for yourself. If you would let your momma stand outside in the cold, and not let her in, you’re not a good man. If you can leave Jesus Christ standing outside your heart's door, you are a bad man. A man that’s mean enough to reject Jesus Christ is just a bad egg, that’s all. Human goodness is nothing but dirty rags in the sight of God. Well, I pay my debts, I love my wife and kids, I work hard, I help out my neighbors, I give to charities. You owe God a debt, and you’ve never paid Him. You can be a church member, or church worker, or church staff and still be on your way to hell, if you’re not born again.
The Bible is the most up to date Book in the world today. Be what you ought to be for Jesus Christ by the grace of God. The atheist magnifies his own thoughts, intellect and ego; the Christian magnifies the mind of God, the person of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Bible. Whenever the Bible gets a man’s heart, the man doesn’t have any problem with his head. Every man has a heart problem, not a head problem.
No man is naturally a Christian, you become a Christian supernaturally by reaching out the empty hand of faith to Jesus Christ, saying, "I can’t do anything myself to save me." It’s all clear and explicit in the Bible. Take Salvation God’s way - freely. The Holy Spirit is the Author of the Bible, and until the Holy Spirit inhabits you, you will never understand and believe the Bible. Remain yielded, teachable, humble, dedicated, consecrated, and surrendered to Christ.
There’s a difference between religion and salvation. Religion is what a man does to try and justify himself before God. Religion is a man’s search for God, the Gospel is God’s search for lost sinners. Religions are dead, religions are things and its, religions can’t save your soul, and they can’t give you life on the inside. He that hath the Son hath life, he that hath not the Son of God hath not life (I John 5:12).
Judge things by what God says, not how they look to you. Check things by God’s words. The Bible is the word of God, you can depend on it in time and Eternity. The only way to do God’s work is God’s way. Put God first. Run your business by the Bible, run your home, lead your family, obey your husband, treat your wife right, bring up your children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Anything that is not right is not of God. Check everything in life with the words of God, and you’ll stay out of trouble. Will to do the will of God. If you want to do something you want to do, and you are trying to pull God over on your side, that is not the will of God. God, please help us poor, miserable, blundering sinners. Don’t take Jesus for granted; remember what He has done for you. Bring Him a bouquet filled with heart gratitude, praise, and affection.
A religion is what a man does to try and justify himself by his own righteousness. Salvation is what God does for a sinner who knows he can’t justify himself before a holy God. Salvation is something Jesus Christ gives an undeserving sinner that knows he is ungodly. And what God is waiting for you to do is real simple: God is waiting for you to come to the end of your self where you will admit that you are no good, and that your religion is no good, and for you to humbly come to His Son for the Forgiveness of Sins and Eternal Life. And until you do that, you are dead in your sins, alienated from the life of God. You will eventually end up dying in your sins and perishing and die the second death in the lake of fire, unless you repent and acknowledge and trust that Jesus Christ is the true God, the Truth, and the only Way to Heaven (I Timothy 3:16; John 14:6).
People today are very proud, they won’t admit they are sinners, people are constantly try to think of and find every way in the world to justify themselves to prove that they don’t need Jesus Christ alone. You’re a sinner, you know it, and you feel it in your conscience every day. We are all sinners in the sight of God. A sinner is the foulest thing on the face of the earth. Americans don’t realize they are sinners; because they are blinded by ignorance and pride. Jesus was either a liar and crazy, or He was God in the flesh. You must believe you are a real sinner. You must believe that God in the flesh loved you, bled for you, died for you, and rose from the dead.
The atheist says, "I am not responsible for being in this world; I didn’t make myself a sinner. I will live as I want to live, and if God wants to damn me for that, let Him do it, that’s all right with me. I didn’t make myself this way; I will enjoy my sinful appetites." That's like saying, I am not responsible for being born in Ohio, if it had been left up to me I would have chosen a much better state; I am here now without my consent, and I will do as I please, and I will pay no attention to the laws of Ohio. The fact that you had nothing to do with coming into this world does not relieve you of the obligation to pay attention and adhere to the laws of your Creator.
Don’t forget to be true to God. Exalt Christ. You are nothing and insignificant, but God is everything. The tendency of human nature is to exalt man, to deify man, humanize God, and minimize sin. It is a terrible thing to sin against a good and loving Creator who loved you enough to die for your sins. You’re going to hell and burn, mainly because you love sin and your spiritual father is the devil. In order to become a child of God, and for God to become your spiritual father, ye must be born again. It’s not very dignified today, to say anything about Hell, and especially to say anyone deserves to go to Hell. Hell is a place of eternal fire, shame, contempt, regret and remorse. If you die in your sins, and wind up in Hell where we all belong, you will be God's enemy for all Eternity.
The atheist is incensed against Jesus Christ, and eventually he shall be ashamed. Some day you’re going to look into the Eyes that have seen you every single minute of your life. You will have to look right into the Eyes that know everything about you. The sins of all your midnights shall be seen in the light of noonday. You would never be respected by anyone if all your secrets sins were known. But God knows them all, He has your whole life from day one recorded in books in heaven awaiting you at the White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15). God will look at you at the Judgment; you will look at Him; and you shall give an account to Him.
You will say, “Amen” to your own condemnation and damnation. Jesus Christ is the just God and the Savior in one Person. Look unto Him, the Lamb of God, and be saved from your guilt and sin. If I had only humbled myself and listened, and given my soul over to Jesus Christ, I wouldn't be in Hell right now. Turn, sinner, turn, why will you die; God, your Maker, asks you Why?
It is hard to repent of your sins and be a Christian, but it’s Hell to be a lost sinner. When the devil gives you the cup of sin, he puts everything good on top, the first few swallows are exhilarating and thrilling, but then you get down to the bottom of the cup of sin where the dregs are, the dregs are bitter, down in the dregs there’s the sting of the scorpion and the serpent’s bite, and all the pleasures of sin come to an end in the fires of hell. Take Christ freely, or perish forever. *John 3:16* Take the bitter cup of repentance and then the water of life. There’s no easy way to heaven. The plan of salvation is free and plain, and the road to heaven is clear. You don’t have to remain lost, you can be saved right now.
The self-righteous carnal mind says, “My righteousness is just as good anyone else’s.” Yeah you’re right, anyone else’s but Jesus Christ. You say, “I am not a church member, I don’t pretend to be super religious, but the fact is, I am just as good as any of those folks that warm the pews every Sunday. I’m just as good as most of those church members. I’m doing the best I can.” Human morality can never take a man to heaven. Morality is good, but it will not save your sinful soul and atone for your human guilt. Religion may help you to be more moral in the sight of men, but it will never forgive your sins or give you eternal life.
Jesus Christ the Lord holds in His hand the only Garment that can cover a guilty sinner before a holy God; that Garment is His Righteousness. Your guilty soul must be covered in Christ’s own Righteousness in order to satisfy the holy eyes of Almighty God. See Acts 4:12; Romans 10:3-4. Your knee must bend and your head must bow to the name, which is above every name – The Lord Jesus Christ. God’s eyes are constantly looking at you; there is no night so dark but He sees you. You slip away from time to time and are guilty of sins (thoughts and deeds) that would make even some wicked men blush. If the black record of your sinful past were made public, you would run out of town in disgrace.
