This is the Gospel (2)

The bleeding, dying, buried, and risen Savior God is the Gospel.  Christ stood and died in the place of transgressors.  Salvation comes to a sinner only by the act of trust to Christ's substitutionary atoning Sacrifice for the ungodly.  In order to obtain any real help, you must deal directly with the person of the living Redeemer.  There is no other refuge for the guilty save in Jesus Christ, and if you seek any other refuge, you insult God, and do despite to Jesus Christ.  Christ died for the ungodly, that's you, that's me.

If you trust in anything from yourself, your soul is in deadly jeopardy, for the soul that believeth not in Jesus Christ must be lost.  Declare plainly and simply the finished work of the Lamb of God.  Empty sinners need a full Savior.  Helpless sinners need a strong Savior. Count your own righteousness to be dung, Paul did.  Human nature arrogantly thinks that self-righteousness is good enough to please God.  Human potential is emptiness.  Understand the horribleness of sin, the inability of self, the necessity of grace, and the opportunity of faith.

Human sin was laid by God the Father on the sinless Son of God; sin's punishment was laid on Him as well.  Christ's bloody death was the execution of the divine death sentence due to human sin.  When Jesus died, He put away my sins.  The doom due to my sin fell on the sinless Substitute.  *Romans 3:25; I John 2:2; I John 4:10* Our condemnation and curse fell upon Christ at the Cross.  Jesus accepted, exhausted and propitiated my condemnation on the Cross.  Jesus paid the infinite cost of my sins against God.  In Christ Jesus, that is where you need to be.  I am accepted in God's sight, simply because Christ was damned for me.  Christ is presently my Righteousness and Redemption.  Christ's Righteousness became mine only by a divine miracle called Imputation.  The effects and consequences of my sins were removed and cancelled by the innocent Blood of the Lamb of God.

The person, work, and name of Christ should be proclaimed. Trust only to the sin-bearing Son of God.  Believe in the exclusivity of the saving power of Jesus' blood.  Jesus summons you to surrender, He bids you to throw down your self-righteousness and sin, and accept His divine mercy.  Superstitious reverence of buildings, pulpits, altars, pews, tables, candles, organs, plates, and cups are sheer idolatry.  Christ rejection is insane rebellion against God.  Christ Jesus' Precious Blood is the only ground of my acceptance before God.  Yield to Christ as God Incarnate.  You must stoop to be saved entirely by Christ's merits.  The lost man abides in sin and death, and he grasps after the emptiness of this world.  Put special interest and trust in the blood of Jesus.

I am justified entirely by the virtue of Christ's Righteousness, accepted in the Beloved, perfect only in Jesus, forgiven freely and completely forever through His atoning blood alone.  Rest in His finished work, leave your sins behind, depend wholly upon Christ Himself.  I cast my helpless soul wholly upon what God manifest in the flesh *Jesus of Nazareth* has done for me.  Lord Jesus, save me from my tendencies to sin against You.  The tendency of human nature is to get something to rest upon in itself.  I have absolute dependence upon Christ Jesus for everything, and I go to Him always for all I need.

By nature all men are sinful, miserable, wretched and helpless.  Human nature's main stumblingblock is that it loves darkness rather than light, because its deeds are evil.  The viciousness of human nature and the depravity of our heart prefers darkness to light, and chooses evil rather than good.  There is Salvation in Christ and in no other.  Justification by Christ's Righteousness, peace and pardon through His Blood, and full Atonement by His sinless Sacrifice.  The presence and power of the Holy Ghost is absolutely necessary in all things.

Your conscience troubles your heart and mind about your sins against God. The reason your heart carries within it a sense of a coming doom is because terrible judgment is indeed coming. The enormous debt of your sins can only be blotted out by God's Blood.  God's appointed way of Reconciliation, Redemption, Justification, and Access is only through faith in Christ Jesus' Precious Blood.  Trust Jesus with your sins, for He is the only one in the universe that can take them away and hide them from God with His Blood.  Jesus will freely pardon and justify you by His grace and mercy. Trust Jesus with your evil nature, and He will renew and purity you within. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for full and immediate Salvation.  Precious Savior, Precious Promises, Precious Blood, Precious Faith.

Trust in the atoning blood of the great Substitute now.  The very moment you believe in Jesus Christ's Blood, you are born again.  You can never be un-born again.  Leave your sins, seek Christ's Righteousness. Have done with your own willfulness, and seek the meekness and lowliness of Christ Jesus.  Trust Christ Jesus, trust Him now, trust Him only, trust Him wholly, trust Him forever.  For time and Eternity, trust all your life and all your Eternity into the hands of Jesus of Nazareth.  Trust to the Cross, flee to Calvary for refuge, there is eternal safety for the defenseless soul, there is hope for the despairing mind.  If you trust to any of your works, you will be as much lost as if you trusted to your sins.

The ground of your Salvation must be Christ Himself; your main business is to trust to Christ, rest on Him, to depend on His finished work, and to rely on what Christ did for you on Calvary's tree.  The object of your Faith must be Christ, He is the Substitute and Sin-Bearer for sinners.  Trust only to God's mercy in Christ.  Be as sick of your own righteousness as you are of your own sins.  You don't have a grain of merit within you whereupon you can trust.  Fling to the winds all of your own righteousness.  It's your choice, filthy rags or Royal Garments.  The man who can boast half a cent about his own righteousness has never been enlightened by the Holy Ghost, for one of the first true signs of a renewed heart is that it abhors itself.

A man can never be a Christian as longs as he has anything good to say about himself.  Nothing can damn a man but his own righteousness; and nothing can save a man from sin but the Righteousness of Christ.  The man who sincerely believes in Jesus alone is as much accepted of God as even God's eternal Son is accepted. Never be guilty of misleading, misguiding, or misdirecting lost souls away from Christ's Righteousness.  "It is finished!" is the thunderclap against all human righteousness.

You cannot make recompense and atonement for your offenses against your Maker.  The Recompense for your sins has been made already; Christ has done it all with His atoning blood.  Your efforts cannot help save your soul from sin or from sin's punishment.  Human nature insanely thinks and hopes that God will accept it through its own doings.  Human nature forgets that the way of Salvation is finished.  To come to Jesus is to trust Him and His Blood, so by faith fall down flat at the foot of the Cross and believe on Jesus with all your heart.

Simply tell out the story of the Cross to thirsty and needy sinners. Tell lost sinners of Jesus Christ and Him crucified, and that only in His merit and blood is the answer for sins, guilt, and lostness. Be grounded in the grace of God.  Rest on God's power, not on man's wisdom and ability. Rely only on the power of the Holy Ghost, to provide evidence of the truth of the Gospel Message by convicting the hearers of their need of Christ's Blood.

Have nothing to do with this world's evil God-hating ways.  Make the service of Christ the main object and passion of your life. Proclaim the Cross whenever  and wherever you can. God does not use the influential, astute or noble - God only shows Himself strong through the power of the Gospel, and not human ability. Signs, wonders, superior intelligence or eloquence are not needed at all.  Superior wisdom, oratory and flowery language are all in vain.  Testify to the truth of God and to the facts of Eternity. The Cross never needs to be dressed up or helped by human wisdom.  Trust your soul with the Incarnate-Crucified-Buried-Risen-Coming God.
