The Merciful Maker

For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and He pondereth all his goings. My God, Jesus Christ, is omniscient and omnipresent, and He knows what you're up to all the time. You are under His eye and notice, even when the lights are out (Psalm 139:12). He will bring all your darkest secrets into Judgment, even the ones you've forgotten (Ecclesiastes 12:14; Romans 2:16).

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad (Luke 8:17). Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in God's sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do (Hebrews 4:12). You are under Heavenly Surveillance 24/7/365. Nothing ever escapes the attention of your Maker. Look now to your Merciful Maker, Look now to His most Precious Blood alone for your pardon and cleansing, and look to His Righteousness for free justification and eternal protection from the wrath to come. *Job 36:3*

The Heavenly Handout

This earthly life of ours is very brief and frail and fleeting. One moment here, and then gone forever. The thoughtless worldling says, "Get all the toys you can; go for the gusto, let the good times roll." If you are running after the vanity of this world, you are wasting precious time and health, you are placing value on the worthless, and disregarding priceless wealth. The atheist and religionist is presuming on his soul and Eternity. Human nature is infatuated with who you are, what you have, and what you've accomplished. Atheism is a dead end street that winds up in the lake of fire. Carnal pleasure, stuff, status and titles never satisfy. Alcoholism and workaholism is nothing more than a cover up for men running from themselves, their family, and from God. If there is some private sin you refuse to let go of, your conscience reminds you of it even now.

Now understand - Only God's providence is preserving you right now. You don't even know what will happen tomorrow, much less next year. Just a little blood test, just a slight malfunction of an aircraft, just someone not paying attention and running a red light, and your life could be snuffed out in a second. Face up to what you don't know, face up to your frailty, and face up to the fact that you are entirely dependent upon the personal, living, and merciful Creator. Only if God is willing, will there be a tomorrow for you. God spares you everyday that you live. Only if God spares you, and grants you health, will live to see the light of tomorrow. Atheists choose to live under their own rule and love their sins. The mercy of God is allowing you to take another breathe, and gives you another chance to hear the Gospel and trust the Lord Jesus Christ's Blood to take away your sins forever.

The contemporary atheistic lifestyle resists truth, chooses not to think of reality at all, and flees from the facts of death and Eternity. The fascination with healthcare today is based primarily on the fact that man is so frightened and has absolutely no answer to death. You can't avoid these facts - Life's brevity, death's reality, judgment's certainty, faith's opportunity. You now have the opportunity to completely reject yourself, and implicitly trust God's Son. Salvation is of free grace, gratis, free of charge, out of the pure kindness of God. Human nature hates the very thought of taking the free forgiveness of sins from God through the shed Blood of His Dear Son, Christ Jesus - God manifest in the flesh.

You don't want to lose your soul. You better take care of business. Deny yourself - get off the throne of your life. Give up your life - Let Christ rule over you. You need a living relationship with the living God - Christ Jesus. Be wise now - Take the Heavenly Handout freely from the pierced hand of Christ, for you are spiritually destitute and bankrupt. Repent toward God your Maker, turn from your love of sinning for it is damning, forsake your self-righteousness for it is worthless - Trust Christ's Precious Blood now, look unto Jesus alone for free forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

The Clear Plain Truth

Every lost man rejected Christ when he was around 15, and then he got into more and more sin, and then at 25, he rejects Christ again, and then his heart gets harder and harder, and then he rejects Christ again at 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50, and then he neglects Christ until he is around 70, and then he dies in his sins, and goes to Hell where he belongs. If you live and die without Jesus Christ and lose your soul, you will lose all you've got. The soul is the ego part of man; it is a man's peculiar individualistic property that distinguishes him from other souls. The loss of your soul is irrecoverable: once your soul is lost and damned, it can never be retrieved. Behold now is the day of salvation. Stop putting off Christ, stop neglecting the only Remedy for your sin problem, the Blood of Jesus Christ.

Sin turns every man into a living devil that hates God and rejects Christ, and hates his own soul. If you're not careful, you'll die unforgiven, without hope and without Christ. The world's sinful pleasures can only be enjoyed for a season, your life is but a vapor; but your soul will continue on forever and ever. Your soul is immortal; and if it is lost and damned, its torment will always abide, and the smoke of your soul will ascend up forever and ever in the lake of fire, and the worm of conscience will never die, and the everlasting fire where you'll dwell will never be quenched. You need the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.  Jesus must be your Lamb, your personal Sin-Bearer, or you will lose your soul. You can't be saved by doing good or quitting some bad habits, because you are not Perfect. God requires Perfection (sinlessness) for you to enter New Jerusalem.

All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. You may be a fine fellow in man's eyes, but there's something bad wrong with you -- you're a sinner. You're proud and selfish. You have secret sins no one knows about, some mental sin, some social sin, some verbal sin, some outward sin, some inward sin, some secret sin, some business sin, some family sin, some private sin, some religious sin, there's always something wrong with every man. Every man is right in his own eyes, but God knows your secrets and thoughts. There's was only one perfect man that lived here on earth, and that was the man Christ Jesus (I Timothy 2:5-6). When God Almighty sees the Blood of His Son on your soul, His wrath will pass over you. If there's no blood, you're headed for eternal destruction. Has the Blood of God been applied to your Soul?   No blood, no hope.  Is your Soul safe?  No blood, no eternal life. Are you washed in the Blood of the Lamb? No blood, no forgiveness.  A Christian believes what God said, and a lost man doesn't - that's it. Have you ever personally received Christ by faith into your body and soul?  The worst way to die is in your sins unforgiven.

The preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us who are saved it is the power of God and the wisdom of God. The Lord Jesus Christ was made sin for us, that Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and God hath set Him forth to be the Propitiation for all our sins. When we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. Now once in the end of the world hath Christ appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. Jesus is The Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in JESUS should not perish, but have everlasting life. The full Blood Atonement for human sin has been made, and the utmost ransom is paid in full. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.

The Just died for the unjust, that He might bring us to God; the Innocent One bore the crimes of the guilty, that they might be freely forgiven and accepted in Christ. God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Christ Crucified is the key to Heaven - Glory in the Cross alone. Christ His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes we were healed. God hath made Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ. Whosoever believeth in God's Son is justified from all sin; and whosoever trusts in the Lord Jesus Christ is in that moment forgiven, justified, adopted, regenerated within, and accepted in the Beloved.

Repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up; that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have eternal life. Simple trusting of your soul wholly to Christ, as a Substitute for a sinner. The essence of saving faith is trust, reliance, dependence on Christ's Atoning Blood, His Finished Cross-Work. Cast away every other confidence of every sort, save confidence in Jesus' Precious Blood.

God says you're a sinner, you're going to die, and you can't help save yourself at all. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. You need to get ready for death and Judgment. God has provided the Savior, you must provide the sinner. Take heed to your soul, come and hide under the Shelter of God's Blood at the Cross. You may think you're too good to go to Hell, but according to the Bible, there's no good in you (Romans 3:10,12). You can only die prepared to meet God by simply trusting in the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. You must pass from death to life and be converted (changed inwardly) by the Holy Ghost. Salvation is a sinner coming to God as a sinner, repenting of his sins, and by faith placing his trust in the Blood of God's Son for the free forgiveness of his sins. If you receive God's Son (John 1:12), God will receive you, regenerate you, and make you His child forever. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved from the penalty and love of sin. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved.

You have sinned against God *Romans 3:23*, and God must punish your sins, and God has punished your sins in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. God set forth Jesus to be the Propitiation for human sin, and now whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Lean the full weight of your soul on Jesus' finished work. This is the vital point. You must have a personal faith in the personal Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. *Matthew 11:28* Trust in the character, truthfulness, finished work of the Son of God. You don't have to do anything special, or achieve anything, but simply believe in Jesus, the Christ of God, God manifest in the flesh. By faith, receive Jesus spiritually into your heart and soul. Think much on Christ's sinless life, bloody death and resurrection. You must, by faith take Christ into you now by believing on His Blood. Jesus loved you, and gave Himself for you. The great Blood Atonement of Jesus is only received by simple childlike faith. Emmanuel's Atonement is the great central truth of the Gospel, and it is very best food for the soul. Outward morality and correctness of conduct cannot help you at all.

Everlasting life signifies life which shall never end. Life received from Jesus Christ will last as long as the everlasting God. If a man can lose his spiritual life, then that life could not have been EVER-lasting, this is so clear. The man that trusts to Christ's Blood alone to take away his sins has within a life which shall never expire. Jesus said, "Because I live, ye shall live also." By Jesus all that believe are justified from all things. Genuine faith in Jesus' Blood is vital. Born into God's family by the Holy Ghost, born in the image of God, a partaker of His divine nature. Human nature revolts again the simple humbling, saving truth of John 6:47. Let's put the matter straight and plain - Salvation must be by faith, that it may be by grace, that God may get all the glory, but proud human nature will not have it so. Never try to establish a righteousness of your own, because you can't, for you are sinful. Come away from everything you rely upon and trust alone to Jesus Himself.

Christ Jesus, God in human flesh, made Himself of no reputation, He took upon Himself the form of a servant, and as a servant He bled to death in the sinner's place, and now whosoever will trust to His Atonement is justified freely from all things in the sight of God. I shall never be condemned, for Jesus was condemned in my place. Be absolutely certain of your possession of eternal life - simply trust to the Atoning Blood of Jesus - there your faith must be fixed. Faith leads to Forgiveness of sins, Forgiveness of sins leads to Gratitude, Gratitude leads to Purity, Purity leads to Obedience, Obedience leads to glorifying God. Whosoever believeth in Jesus hath EVERlasting life. The key-note of the Gospel is *Freely*. How is a sinner justified in the sight of God? A man can only be justified in the sight of God by faith in the Blood and Righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner, I believe you died for my sins, and rose from the dead, I don't want to go to Hell when I die. I deserve to go to Hell, but please have mercy on me, and save me through your Atoning Blood. I am so guilty, please be merciful to me a sinner for Jesus' sake. I am coming to you right now the best way I know how and trusting you as my Savior from my sins. Lord Jesus, please save my soul right now, thank you for shedding your Precious Blood for my sins. Please forgive me for rejecting and neglecting you all these years. Lord Jesus, I'm no good, I believe on You now for the Righteousness that God requires.

Now Hear This!

Now hear this - Sin is a little three-letter word, but it contains all the evil that ever was. Sin is a bad word today. Nobody believes anything is a sin anymore. Sin is not a mistake, it is a deliberate crime against God Himself. Sin is transgression and rebellion against God your Maker. Sin is the violation of the law of right, the commission of all manner of wrong. Sin is in every man, we have all committed sin against God, we are all defiled with sin. Sin requires punishment, and brings condemnation upon every man. Christ Jesus came into the world to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself on Calvary's Cross. All have sinned, the wages of sin is death, the soul that sinneth, it shall die. The sinner must die for his sins, or an innocent Substitute must die in his place. God so loved you that He sent His only-begotten Son to bear your sins and pay the penalty for your sins.

All the wrong-doing of mankind is put into one lump, all heaped together, and called *SIN*. All the omissions, all the commissions, and all the tendencies to rebel against the person of God are all piled together and then called SIN. Sin is the evil nature within us that makes us obnoxious to God. Sin is loathsome to God; God is so pure that He cannot bear impurity. The very thought of injustice is abhorrent to God. God cannot look upon iniquity without hating it. Sin is completely contrary to God's divine nature. God's wrath rages against sin. Sin exposes every one of us to the just and righteous wrath of God. Wherever there is sin, there must be a divine eternal penalty.

God will not allow His righteous law to be violated with impunity. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The wages of sin is death. Where there is sin, there must be punishment. Every man's conscience knows there is a coming Judgment and a dreadful Hell reserved for unforgiven sinners. The terrible sound of Judgment to come is ever ringing in the conscience of the unconverted man. Sin is so terrible an evil, that God Himself had to leave His eternal throne and appear here on earth as a man in the person of Jesus of Nazareth and shed His own blood to put away sin. Guilty man in his natural sinful state cannot dwell with a holy God. If you are not pardoned by Christ's Precious Blood, you must be separated from God forever. Nothing you can do, can bring reconciliation with God.

Your sins must be put away by Christ, or you are lost forever. You are guilty, you have condemned yourself by rejecting Christ. The weight of sin and its guilt lies on your conscience now. The wrath of God abides on every unsaved sinner (John 3:36). Sinner, Christ Jesus came into the world to save you -- to put away your sins. God Himself appeared in human form in the person of Jesus of Nazareth to save you from the love of sin. The sinner is called to come to Judgment, but the sinner's Substitute appeared on our behalf to suffer the punishment to due our sins. Sin can never be put away except by Sacrifice. Christ gave Himself, His whole self for our sins. He loved me, and gave Himself for me. Jesus gave His body, His soul, His own blood for me. He gave HIMSELF. Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree. He offered Himself as a Sacrifice for human sin. God Incarnate bled to death for undeserving sinners. Lay hold of this Great Truth - God in human flesh has died for you. God loved you so that He was nailed to a tree to pay for your sins.

Now hear this - Man's sin has made this world obnoxious to JEHOVAH, and God cannot deal with man apart from Christ's Sin-Atoning Bloody Sacrifice. God is infinitely merciful, but He is also infinitely Just. This poor guilty world had gone down into awful ruin. But God was rich in mercy toward sinners and sent His dear Son down to earth to save sinners. Christ came to put away sin's punishment by being punished for you. Divine equity cannot punish the same sin twice. If you trust Christ and His payment for your sin, you cannot be punished. Your sins must be transferred to the head of the Scapegoat of Calvary, the divinely appointed Substitute for sinners. When Christ puts away your sins, you will love Christ, and by loving Christ, you must hate your sin. To love sin and to love Christ at the same time is impossible. Fall down at Jesus' dear feet, trust His most precious blood, believe on His name. You cannot make peace with God, only Christ can do that for you. Let Christ Jesus save your soul today from the love and penalty of sin.

God fully displayed His compassion, pity, and love toward His enemies at Calvary (Romans 5:6-9). Christ put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself alone - nothing else is required. You must not add anything to Christ's perfect Sacrifice. Your merits are not required, because you have none to offer whatsoever. A sinner has no merit, a sinner is only guilty and undone. You must take nothing from Christ's Bloody Sacrifice, and you must add nothing to it. The very thought of adding anything to Christ's Finished Work is blasphemy. Believe that He has done all that is required, rest and be happy in Him. Christ gave His life and shed His Blood for you. He poured out His soul unto death for guilty men. Christ took the punishment of your sins. Now hear this - take this fact to be true, and rest your whole soul on the Atoning Blood of God's Son, and you are saved now. *John 3:16-19* Believe in Christ, that is, trust HIM wholly, not yourself at all. Trust Him now, trust Him altogether and alone. Rest on Him, believe that He died for you, and you are ransomed from the evil of sin.

The Most Glorious Truth

The Most Glorious Truth: Christ Jesus became the guilty Substitute for sinners. A substitute is one who takes our place and pays our cost. The cost God paid for human sin was tragic. God had to humble Himself and become a Jewish man and shed His own blood for undeserving sinners. The sinless God-man laid down His perfect life for His determined enemies. Jesus surrendered Himself as an eternal substitutionary Sacrifice for human sin. Jesus is God manifest in the flesh and utterly without sin (Isaiah 53:10; Romans 8:32; II Corinthians 5:21). The innocent Lamb of God was made Sin on the behalf of His enemies. Jesus took all our sins upon Him and for those sins He died upon Calvary's Cross. Jesus is the High Priest who became the Sacrifice on the Altar. Jesus is the Advocate who ended up being condemned for his guilty client. Jesus became Sin and was punished in our place. Your superficial affluent religiosity cannot help you at all. You must admit you are wretched, lost, bankrupt, and ruined by sin. You have sinned and only deserve condemnation. All of my sin was transferred to Christ on Calvary.

The only appropriate punishment for sin is eternal divine wrath (Romans 3:8); our damnation is just, we deserve to pay. Jesus paid a price you could never pay. Only Christ's Blood can make your peace with God (Colossians 1:20; Ephesians 2:13). Jesus' bloody suffering and death opened up the way for sinners to be reconciled back to an offended God. The Cross reconciles guilty men back to the holy Creator. Christ died for the ungodly; He loved me and gave Himself for me. Jesus paid my bill, and the same bill can never be paid twice. The anger of God is turned away from the guilty at Calvary. Jesus died an atoning death for me. Take your trust away from the things that you are doing. God will never accept anything you have done to atone for any of your sins. Look to the Blood of Jesus to cleanse your sin and be contented with Him alone.

God is just, and a just God must punish all human sin. The great question is, “How can God be Just, and yet the Justifier of the ungodly?” False heathen religions and counterfeit Christian religionists endeavor to answer the question, but they completely fail. Some think they have found the answer in their mass, confession, and baptism, but God’s justice is not vindicated by man’s religious efforts. Every man feels in his guilty conscience a craving after a reply to this question, “How can the Just God justly forgive me the sinner?” How can God save and have mercy on me, and yet maintain His justice?” Here's the answer to human guilt:

The Person of the Substitute: Jesus was truly man, and yet He was ‘truly’ God (I Timothy 3:16). Christ Jesus ‘suffered’ in the place of sinners. Christ partook of human flesh, human weakness, and was tempted as are; yet without sin. He was the perfect man: the God-man. He was the only man in whom there never dwelt sin. There was no sin whatsoever in His nature. No taint of unrighteousness ever ran in Jesus' veins. He was virgin born, and His human nature was ‘without spot or blemish’.

Christ never fell, He never partook of Adam’s sin. On the part of sinners, Jesus took upon Himself all the sins of the world, and bore them away. He was the Perfect Lamb of God that took away the sin of the world. The life of the man Christ Jesus was in every respect blameless and sinless. His heart never had any unholy anger. His lips never uttered a word of deceit. His pure mind never knew an imagination or thought of sin. Not only did Christ not sin, but He could not sin. He knew no sin, that is, He had no acquaintance with sin. He was a total stranger to sin altogether. He had no dealings with sin personally. He was ever pure, perfect, undefiled, spotless, holy, acceptable, and well pleasing unto God.

You may trust Jesus, the perfect God-man (I Timothy 3:16), with the utmost confidence. Christ was truly man, yet He was also very God. He possessed all the attributes of the eternal Jehovah. He that hung upon Calvary's Cross, was the same God who hung the stars and created the entire universe (John 1:3). God Himself in the person of Jesus of Nazareth did bear our sins in His own body on the tree of Calvary. By Him were all things made and without Him was not anything made that was made. None but the shoulders of the Incarnate God could bear the burden of the whole world’s sin. Christ Jesus was the Divine Sacrifice for human sin.

Struggling sinner, Come with me now and stand beneath the Cross of Calvary, and with the eye of Faith behold the Lord Jesus Christ hanging there, see His bleeding body, those wounds of His are streaming with God’s own blood, His sprear-rent side was opened for you. Though your sins so crimson and black, the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is more crimson, and His blood can wash your sin-stained soul whiter than snow. Only His bloody death can take away the blackness and bitterness of your sins. He is able to save to the uttermost that come unto God by Him.

Sinner, look now at Jesus Christ - He is your only hope! There is power in His atoning blood to wash away ALL your sins. No sins can be too black or too many for His precious blood to cleanse. The Blood of Christ is sufficient and will do the job, period.

The Substitute's Sufferings: Christ also hath once suffered for sins. Jesus sweated in Gethsemane until His soul because so full of agony that the blood ran from the pores of His skin. His head, hair, garments were all bloody there. He was clothed in a red robe of His own blood. He wrestled and His soul was burdened with our guilt, and “sorrowful even unto death.”

Jesus rose from his place of prayer there in Gethsemane and went forth to meet His doom in Jerusalem. He was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples. They hurried the Savior away to Annas, to Caiaphas, to Pilate, to Herod, then back again to Pilate, without any breathing time, without any relief. They accused Him of sedition. They accused Him of blasphemy. They could find no true witnesses against Him. He was accused and slandered and spit upon. They condemned the Innocent, they mock Him, they laugh at Him, they jeered at His majesty, and tormented His heart. They tore his back with the Roman scourge till His bone were showing. Then, they set Him in an old chair as though it were a throne. They crowned Him with thorns. They cast an old purple robe on His blood-raw shoulders, they mocked and derided Him, as though He were a fake king. For a scepter, they gave Him a reed. For honor, they give Him spit. For the kiss of reverence, they gave Him lips of mockery and blasphemy. Instead of bowing before Him as their King, they blindfolded Him, and smote Him in the face.

He was despised and afflicted. Then Jesus was led forth to Calvary’s cross. He was nailed to the Cross by cruel and wicked hands. The crude mob heckled and taunted Him as He suffered. His soul suffered the unsheathed wrath of God. The wrath of the Almighty against our sins covered all His soul. He cries out, “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me.” His griefs, His sorrows, His sufferings, His woes were unspeakable. Jesus suffered the wrath of God for all our sins.

At the last, He cried, “It is finished.” He then, bowed His head, and gave up the ghost. He suffered all that we ought to have suffered. He finished the payment for sin. He obeyed every jot and tittle of the law of God. He paid it all – not half-way, but all the way, not near to the boundary, but to its end. He didn’t merely sip from the cup of God’s wrath, He had drained it to the very dregs, He turned the cup of God's wrath bottom upwards, His soul swallowed all it contained, there was not a single drop left on the brim. Then He cried out, “It is finished!” . The Guilty Substitute didn't die for any sin of His own; Jesus laid down His life for your sins. The sufferings are finished. The debt is paid in full. Divine Justice is satisfied. The Law is magnified. Righteousness is established. The complete Atonement is now made. Justification for sinners is entirely done.

The Substitute's Finished Work: Don’t try and put your last touches on the finished work of Christ. Your fingers are black with sin and this insults and angers the Lord. Jesus Christ is the apple of God’s eye. For a sinner to try to put his finishing touches on Christ’s atonement is a stab at the eye of God.

Poor bankrupt sinner, what do you say to this? Will you now rest solely on Christ's Bloody Sacrifice for sinners? God is only satisfied with His Son’s atoning sacrifice, are you? God thinks Jesus’ sacrifice is enough. Do you? You can only be saved by faith in Christ, and in Christ alone. Not your own works, or feelings, or experience. Christ wants no preparation from you. Simply cast yourself down on Christ, on His promises and mercies. Submit to Him and let Him save you by His free grace and pure mercy. Cast yourself down in the dust before Him, and ONCE FOR ALL have done with your wretched self. Rely not on anything you can do, or think, or say, or know; rest alone on Jesus only and you are saved forever on the spot. Sinner, look to Jesus, and you are saved. You may be thinking, “My sins are too many”? But His Blood Atonement is miraculous and can cover all your sins. Do you say, “My heart is too hard”? Jesus can soften it with His blood. Do you cry, “I am so unworthy”? Jesus loves the unworthy. Do you feel, “I am so vile and sinful?” It is the vile Jesus came to save. Down in the dust, sinner; down, down with yourself and up with Christ, who suffered for your sins on Calvary’s cross. Turn your eye there, see Jesus only. He suffers, He bleeds, He dies. He is buried. He rises again. He ascends on high. He saves to the uttermost. Trust Him now and you are eternally safe. Give up all other trusts, and rely on Jesus alone, alone on Jesus, and you shall pass from death unto life. Simply and wholly rest and trust in Jesus Christ Himself.

The New Birth

An atheist may be proud of his prosperity, be pleased with himself, and planning to enjoy retirement - but he is unprepared to die. There's an appointed time to every man upon earth. Any moment, any day, your appointment with death will come.

There's just one reason why any man rejects Jesus Christ - because he loves his sins. That is the whole story. They may give many other excuses, but John 3:19 is still the truth. Jesus didn't say, "You ought to be born again." Jesus said, "Ye MUST be born again." There is no other choice; there is no other way. Jesus didn't say, "I am a way." Jesus said, "I am THE way." Jesus used the definite article. Jesus always tells the Truth, and men always lie. You must first believe that GOD IS (Hebrews 11:6). You must be saved by Jesus Christ Himself (Acts 4:12). You must be saved through the name of JESUS. If you shun Jesus Christ, you will eventually go to Hell. This is an inevitable, inescapable choice you must make. Jesus shed His precious blood for you, and made the Atonement for your human sin.

Your greatest need is the New Birth - the infusion of divine life by the Holy Ghost into the human soul, the implantation of the divine nature into the human heart making a man a son of God. The New Birth is the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit alone in the human soul, applying the precious blood of Christ and cleansing us from the guilt of sin. Yes, you are a sinful child of wrath by nature, you are a sinner by choice and by practice, God is holy and you are unholy, But you must be born again for one reason alone - because Jesus said so (John 3:7). That settles it. There is no room for argument. Jesus must do all the saving, your merits are all useless, for you have no merits - the Bible says you're ungodly (Romans 5:6). A lost man has never listened to a word that God has says. An unsaved man has never had a spiritual bath, in other words, he stinks in the nostrils of God.

If you go to Hell after reading this, your blood is on your own hands. You must come face to face with your sins, do not try to dodge the real issue. Do not try to hide your many sins. Do not try to excuse or justify yourself, for you cannot. *Repent* Face the main issue that you are a lost sinner. You are without God and without hope in the world. As a Christ rejector, you are living under the wrath of God (John 3:36), and are in open rebellion against God (Colossians 1:21). You are following your father the Devil (John 8:44), instead of your Crucified Creator (II Corinthians 5:19-21). There's nothing you can do to help save yourself, so just give up. Repent of your self-righteousness and sinful thoughts. Turn your sin-sick soul over to Jesus Christ (God manifest in the flesh), and receive Him into your innermost being right now. Turn away from your unbelief and look to Christ's Atoning Blood by simple childlike faith (Luke 18:17).

Jesus died to pay your sin debt (I Peter 2:24). Receive Christ Himself now - Believe on His Name - That is what brings the New Birth to the human soul (See John 1:12). Nothing else will. You must say, "I will" to Jesus Christ. Jesus has already said, "He will." There must be a union of your soul with Christ Himself. From the depths of your heart, you must look to Jesus Christ and trust HIM alone. Repent now, and say your "I will" to Christ Jesus. Turn away from your Christ rejection (unbelief), and turn by Faith to HIM, and say, "LORD JESUS, I will."

Simple Faith (4)

If you have a simple faith in Christ Jesus' precious blood, your soul is safe from the wrath of God. Simple faith in Jesus Christ's finished work will save you, save you just as you are.  Reconciliation to God may be freely obtained by simple reliance in the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Jesus is the one Mediator between God and sinful men, put your case into His hands now. If you would go to Heaven, it is all of grace, through the merits and blood of Christ; it is all of childlike faith in Christ Himself. My sole reliance is upon Christ's Perfect Righteousness and His one Great Atoning Sacrifice for all sinners.

A wretch is a completely sinful and miserable creature that is in need of mercy from his Creator. A wretch is a vile, despicable, person - a miserable and unhappy person sunk in distress either from want, anxiety, or grief - a worthless, hatefully wicked and deceitful human being, that is the description of a wretch. Wretchedness is always seeking some vanity or thing in this world to idolize or worship. The ill company you are accustomed to keeping must be forsaken. Your old buddies will drag you into hell if you let them.  Your sin has become ingrained in your nature - abominable habits, guilt and the power of sin. Slaves of sin and Satan, look to Jesus for freedom from your love of sin.

Faith IS trust, confidence, and reliance upon the living Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. Put your whole confidence in what Jesus did for you. Rely upon Jesus for time and Eternity. Trust only to the merit of His great atoning Sacrifice for the ungodly. Jesus will save you with His everlasting salvation. Have nothing to do with Self-Righteousness. Jesus completely saves penitent, contrite sinners. Trust Christ, that is, rely upon Him. Jesus made recompense to the divine justice of God for your sins, trust your soul upon His sacrifice, rest on Him, and that simple faith saves your lost soul. Real faith leads to sincere and genuine obedience to the word of God. Forsake your sins, by the Holy Spirit's help. Really believe in Jesus. Lord, please change me within, help me to stop sinning against You. Our pardon of sin lies in Christ Jesus alone, the Son of God, and there only. The beggar is one whose entire dependence is upon charity. You must be a spiritual beggar to go to Heaven. Trust Christ as your Substitute and Savior. Your first business is to Repent of your sin and self-righteousness and to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Stop being a willing servant of sin and Satan. The news of cancer or any other life-ending sickness has a way of blasting the sin of self-reliance and the stupor of worldliness. You are a spiritual welfare case forever. Be wise - become humbly dependent on Christ. A dead man will not swallow medicine. The complete and free forgiveness of sins is only available at the Cross.

Human nature is very fond of itself. Human pride is very insidious, stealthy and deceitful, and attempts to duck and deny its need for Jesus Christ's Blood Atonement. When you think you have the ability to please God with your self-righteousness, good works, and to attain heaven by something you may do, you are lost and delusional. You can't help yourself at all, because you're a sinner. You're not qualified to handle your own salvation. You're sunk if your salvation depends on you. There's nothing in you that could ever merit the favor of God.

Receive Christ's Person and what He did for you, not what you are, and what you may do for Him. This is the heart of the Gospel - The Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Consider your vile thought life, your arrogance, hatred, lust, and gossip. You are a really bad sinner. You in your natural state are not acceptable to God. You must have the Perfect Goodness of Christ Himself imputed (credited, charged) to your filthy account. This is the Grand Exchange, your sins go on Jesus Christ, and His Righteousness goes on your soul - freely by simple faith in His Precious Blood shed on the Cross. By God's love and blood alone, your sins are gone forever. Jesus is 100% on your side, if you trust Him, on one basis alone, who Christ IS and what He did for you. In Christ we find sure refuge from God's divine justice. We are like fugitives fleeing vengeance, we run into Christ for safe haven. Receive Christ Jesus, take Him. Rely on Christ completely.

Salvation from your sins must be All of Christ. Rely on Christ, believe the Gospel, cleave to the Cross. You cannot do enough good things to gain God's favor, for a sinner is no good at all within. Human nature wants to get some credit for saving itself. But Jesus must get all the credit and glory, or you must perish. Real faith delights in Christ's Righteousness alone. Give your heart to the repose of simple faith in Christ. Christ was punished in your place; you trust in Him, and now you can never be punished, because He was punished for you. Your sins are laid upon Christ, and therefore they can never be laid upon you. Jesus was accursed, so you cannot be accursed. God's Son suffered so bitterly for sins that were not His own.

You will suffer bitterly for your sins without Christ as your personal Savior. Your love of sin will damn you. Unless Christ is your Substitute, you will be eternally punished. Incline your ear to God - stop listening to the many voices of this world. Carnal common sense will tell you, "Work it out on your own, figure it out yourself, believe in Jesus, do your best, and you might get to heaven." But Simple faith in a Precious Christ is the only way you can be freed from the love of sin. The act of simple faith exercised upon Christ's Atonement brings your soul perfect and complete salvation from the love and damnation of sin. Receive Christ into your heart now by simple faith, and show Him gratitude with your tender love and hearty obedience to His will. Believe in Christ, and you'll have a new nature that hates sin, new desires that want to please the Lord, new tastes that will help your soul, new enjoyments that will cause you to glorify Christ. The Holy Ghost will help you hate the things you once loved, and love the things you once hated.

Christianity is the belief that Christ Jesus (God manifest in the flesh) came into the world to save sinners from the wrath of God due to their sins. Sinful humanity needs saving, that includes you. There is only one God, and He is the Creator of the entire universe. Jesus Christ, the Word, spoke the worlds into existence (See John 1:3). God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden. They were free to eat from any tree in Eden but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But Eve was tempted by Satan to rebel against God's command and she ate from the forbidden tree. Then Adam ate from it too, and they both died within because of their sin against the Creator. They disobeyed God and this resulted in them being driven from the garden of Eden, and they eventually suffered physical death. Then God chose Abraham and the Jewish race to write His words down in a book (the word of truth - James 1:18), and to bring forth His Son (the Truth - John 1:14; 14:6) in human flesh to bleed and die for ungodly sinners, especially you.

According to the New Testament, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, was born of a Jewish virgin named Mary. Jesus lived a sinless life, obeyed all the Law perfectly, and then He willingly offered up Himself as a Spotless Blood Sacrifice for all sinners. Jesus was THE Substitutionary Atonement for all human sin, including yours. The word "Atonement" is used to describe an act that pays for, or erases one's sins and transgressions against God's Holy Law. Jesus died for your sins according to the Scriptures, and He was buried, and then three days later, Jesus defeated death by being resurrected from the dead to open Heaven to those who will simply trust only in His Blood and Righteousness. You must trust only Jesus' Finished Work for the forgiveness of your sins against Him. Jesus bodily ascended into Heaven and is now exalted on at the right of God's Great White Throne. From the Throne of God, Jesus now rules and reigns with God the Father.

You must first be saved from your self-righteousness and your love of sin. You cannot help save yourself. It is self-righteousness that damns a man. He thinks his righteousness is purer than Jesus Christ's righteousness. If you think any part of your goodness can help get you to Heaven, you're not saved from self and sin. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Do you know any sinner that Jesus Christ died for? You must receive Jesus Christ Himself (John 1:12). Receive Christ into your heart (Romans 10:9-10). Repent, turn from your sinful ways, and believe ON the Lord Jesus Christ. Life is short, Heaven and Hell are forever. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away (James 4:14). Most people want just enough religion to make them moral and comfortable in their sin. All the good things in your life comes from the God that you forget and hate. The Gospel will cost you your life. You may have just enough religion as a lost church member to send you to Hell. If God ever gave you Repentance, you should be growing in Repentance every day you live here on earth.

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit into the world (John 16:7-11), and the Spirit of God now reproves the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. You must Repent of your love of self and sin. You must be born again into the kingdom of God by the power of the Spirit of God; because by nature, you are now in the kingdom of sin and Satan. If you keep on rejecting Christ and die in your sins, you will have to suffer an eternal death in the Lake of Fire with the devil and His angels. God is your Creator, He owns you, but you're a rebel and love your sin. You have broken all of God's laws and rejected the love and blood of His dear Son. The wrath of God presently abides on your lost Christ-neglecting soul (John 3:36). You must stop your deadly doing, and once and for all, trust only in Christ's doings. You deserve Hell because of your willful rebellion against your Maker. But there's Good News - you can escape the damnation of Hell, a very Precious Savior died in your place to save you from the punishment your sins deserve. Humbly flee to the Cross for Shelter - trust in Christ Jesus and in Him alone. Only Jesus Christ can save you from the love and bondage of sin. Christ is All you need - look to Him. To God alone be the Glory.

Simple Faith (3)

The Lord Jesus Christ is the sum of all truth (John 14:6). All poor sinners are invited to come to Christ Jesus by simple faith in His atoning blood, and be saved from the wrath to come by Grace alone. Men will not come to Christ, because their evil deeds will be exposed. Prior to the New Birth, all their so-called good works are evil.  They do wicked things, and they don't want them to be exposed. They love darkness rather than light.  They choose immorality over immortality.  Unbelief and the rejection of Christ comes from a love of sin.  Human nature loves all the wrong things. The carnal mind hates and despises Jesus Christ for no good reason. The natural man thinks and does evil stuff, and they don't want to quit it. They will not come to Jesus Christ, that they might have eternal life. Without an Advocate, all your sinfulness will be exposed at the White Throne Judgment.  All your darkest secrets will be laid bare. You love the hellish trinity (the world, the flesh, and the devil), not the heavenly Trinity (God, Son, and Holy Ghost).

Trust in the Ransom of the Savior's blood. Hope in the Father's mercy, the Son's blood, and the Spirit's power. Come to God through the merits of the Risen Savior. Put your faith in Jesus Christ, and have an ardent love towards Him. Only the Holy Ghost can help you sense your sinfulness and danger, feel your need of a Savior, seek Christ, and lay hold upon Him.

Your evil companions admire your sinful behavior, and you don't feel shame. You like your dark and dirty ways.  You are ugly and sinful within, but Jesus is beautiful and good. Have nothing but Jesus for your soul's reliance. You say, I am king, I do what I want in the dark, I call the shots, no one should criticize my sins. Your only hope is grace and mercy. You are a welfare case spiritually forever; you need much help from above. Your heart-life, thought-life, money life, and moral life must be exposed to the Light.  Come to Christ now. There is nobody else to believe in, and nobody else for you to trust. Fall out of love with your sin, and into love with the Crucified and Risen Savior. Childlike confidence in God manifest in the flesh, your implicit reliance upon Him is commanded. Cast your despairing spirit upon the Blood and Righteousness of Jesus and fix your implicit trust in Him, who lived and died for His enemies, to work a Righteousness for poor sinners.  Jesus is enough. You need a new affection for Christ Crucified. The impure thoughts, the dirty deeds, the backbiting words, the lack of kindness, the selfishness, the pride and arrogancy, the lack of gratitude of inward purity - these all condemn you.

This is the Gospel - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved (from the love of sin). It is Christ, and Christ alone, who is the Sinner's Savior. Take Him to be your Savior now. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life. H-A-T-H spells 'got it.' He that believeth on the Son is a saved sinner, everlasting life can never die, and can never be taken away. Believe in Jesus and you have free pardon, peace, eternal life, God, and Heaven. The essence of the Gospel lies in giving up all self-confidence, all attempts to save yourself by your own merit, and a simple reliance upon Jesus Christ's finished work to save your soul from the love of sin.

A banker will keep your money safe. You turn your money over to the banker for safekeeping. Act in the same way with your soul. Only Jesus can keep your soul safe. Make Christ your Banker, deposit your soul with Him as soon as possible. Turn your whole being over to Him for safekeeping. The Gospel is the preaching of a full, free, present, everlasting pardon to sinners through Jesus Christ's (God manifest in the flesh) atoning blood. The Gospel is absolutely Free; nothing is to be done in order to obtain it. No merits need be brought in order to obtain God's gratis Salvation. There is free pardon for the guiltiest wretch through Jesus Christ's shed blood. You can be fully pardoned and freely forgiven, because of what Jesus did for you on the Cross.

Genuine Repentance says this, Jesus has been so loving and gracious to me in making me his child forever. I am so ashamed I didn't love Him before. My mind is changed toward Him now. I grieve to think how I have sinned against such a good God, and now He has freely forgiven me. I want to be His dear child, faithful servant, loyal friend - I want to do His will, and not my own.

Naturally every man's heart is impure, he cannot make it pure by his own strength, or by anything that he can do. Man is pure in his own eyes, and in the esteem of others, yet they are not cleansed from their inward filthiness, for they are inwardly full of all manner of iniquity. There is a conscience in every man, that accuses or excuses, unless it is seared by sin, but the conscience is naturally evil and defiled and doesn't perform aright; and it takes no notice of and it not concerned about sin, and has no remorse for it, or it takes notice of little things, and lets greater sins pass. The defiled conscience speaks peace when destruction is at hand. You say, "Everyone says this religion is right, and that religion is right, that confuses me. Maybe something else could be right besides the Gospel of Christ." Man naturally wants to work to gain his own righteousness to justify himself before God, and reject and refuse Christ's perfect Righteousness. When sin is burdening your soul, Christ Crucified is your true delight.

Place your complete dependence upon Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. Humble confidence, a good courage in the blood of Christ. Seek Christ first, have simple faith in Him. The root of all of real conversion is simple reliance in the Lord Jesus Christ. Away with counterfeits; real faith lives on Jesus only. Rest on Jesus solely, build on Jesus wholly, earnest prayer to Christ for everything. Lean upon Christ alone, let Him be your soul's only dependence. Jesus Christ is the one great Substitute for sinners, upon whom you must rely. Absolute dependence upon Christ's Righteousness, not yours. A recumbency on Him, reclining all your being on His Atonement, that is, simple dependence upon the Blood and Righteousness of Jesus Christ.

You need free and perfect Pardon on the spot. Simple faith in the precious blood saves us. Simple reliance upon His great Redemption and Atonement. This is the good news about Jesus the Savior of sinners - Christ is able to save the guilty, He is able grant free salvation from the uttermost to the guttermost. Look to Jesus by simple faith, and He will work His miracle of grace and mercy within you. True and simple faith in God alone always gives a good courage to do right.  Faith is confidence towards God, have no confidence in the flesh.  Truly trust in your Crucified and Risen Creator - Christ Jesus the Lord .

Faith is the mouth that feeds the soul. The beauty of the Lord is Christ Himself. We are absolutely safe forever through Christ's Sacrifice and Atonement. Flee away to Christ, lay hold upon Him by a simple faith. The Law is like the plow that turns over the ant bed - the Law causes us to know our inward corruptions. Simple faith in Jesus Christ will save any man from the love of sin. The inevitable fruit of faith in Christ is purity and inward godliness. Simple faith in His precious name and blood is key. Atonement by Precious Blood, Redemption by Substitution, Salvation by Grace. The way to assurance is through the door of simple faith in God Incarnate's Precious Blood. To believe is to trust in Christ alone. Faith is the milk, assurance is the cream. Assurance comes by faith in Christ alone. Simple faith relies entirely upon Jesus Christ. A single eye and simple reliance in His five bleeding wounds.

Simple Faith (2)

Real wisdom is found only in the fear of the Lord, a departure from evil (Job 28:28), receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and in diligence to learn and obey His words (I Cor 1:30; Col 2:3; 3:16; Prov 2:6-7). Hang on the bare arm of God. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord and whose hope the Lord Jesus Christ is. Entire dependence upon God's grace, that is, trustful dependence upon the goodness and wisdom of God in Christ Jesus. Self-reliance and Christ-reliance can never abide in the same heart. Grow in dependence upon God and His words. Salvation of sinners depends upon the Son of God's finished work.

The sixth sense is common sense - every atheist lacks it. Every thing that an atheist can lay his eyes or hands on was created by someone (house, car, meals, furniture, curtains, lights, roads, mailbox, etc.), but the silly atheist doesn't believe his body, the animals, the bugs, the earth, moon, and stars were created. Atheism believes that nothing created everything, and that there is no moral accountability to your Maker, there is no such thing as sin, and there is no God to answer to. The foolish atheist dares to insult and scoff at his Maker. The atheist denies God because he knows he is in big trouble with Him. Evolution is a fairy tale for grown-up fools. Idolatry is creating a god in your own image, a god that doesn't demand moral accountability or repentance. You have given yourself to sin, degraded yourself, made a god in your own image, and you don't feel morally responsible to the false god you have created. The law was sent to convince you of sin, and make you tremble before your holy Maker.

Many moral, amiable, generous, and even religious people have never really believed ON the Son of God for their soul's eternal salvation. You can be sound in your faith, religious in your conduct and dress, moral in your life, and still be lost in your sins. Deliverance from the tyranny of your sin depends on your reliance upon God, immediately and alone. Reliance upon the Person and Blood of Jesus, giving up everything to Him, and the reception of Christ as your Savior, Lord, and God. Your reliance must be upon the Christ of God that died for sinners. If you will simply trust the Savior, you shall be saved at once from the love of sin and the hell you deserve. Believe only in Jesus now, and you shall have immediate forgiveness of every sin, instantaneous salvation by the power of the Christ of God. Cry to God for mercy and help to repent of your sins, and trust simply and wholly upon the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is the saved sinner's maxim - Always trusting in Christ. Lay aside all your self-righteousness and your love of sin. Simple faith in a full Atonement for sin made by Christ Crucified. Hearty reliance upon Christ Himself. Christ died for the ungodly, not good people. Stop loving sin, believe the Gospel, cling to God's mercy and promises, rest in the Finished Work of Christ Jesus. Walk by faith with entire confidence towards God. The sinner that believes in Jesus Christ is justified from all things. He that believeth in Christ is not condemned. Our chief dependence must be upon God's blood. Have no confidence on anything else but Jesus Crucified and risen from the dead. Trust to Christ Crucified. Men are too proud to be saved by simple repentant faith in the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Hearty faith in Christ's atoning sacrifice on Calvary's tree for worthless wretches like us. The judgment of God is upon all sinful mankind. You can do nothing to earn your salvation. Men are all self-righteous and want to earn salvation themselves. We want to be in control of our life and destiny. We want todo something to earn the favor of God, so we can get some credit for saving ourselves.

You have sinned, you are guilty, the law of God has bound punishment to your sin with iron shackles. Jesus Christ came into this world and bore the consequences of human sin in His own body on the tree. Believe in Jesus Christ, simple faith in His blood and righteousness, receive Him to be your Substitute and Advocate, bearing the guilt and punishment for your sins, Jesus was unto God a sacrifice instead of you. Christ offered up Himself for your salvation. Your greatest need is the presence, operation, and help of the Holy Ghost. You struggle with your evil, and you don't know what to do with it, so you try to run away and say there's no such thing as Sin. Atheists are slaves to their sin and are afraid to trust a loving God who can wash away their sins through Jesus' most precious blood. Don't place the slightest reliance upon your own righteousness. Nothing can damn a sinner but his own righteousness; and nothing can save a sinner but the Righteousness of Christ. There must be a distinct renouncing of all righteousness of your own. In your own estimation, you are a very excellent person, and in your own eyes, you are well up to mark. But you must own yourself to be defiled and undone, or there is no hope for you.

The man who clings to his own righteousness is like a man who grasps at an anvil to prevent himself from drowning. Your righteousness will damn you if you trust in it at all. You have nothing to trust to, except the Blood and Righteousness of Jesus Christ. Have no other confidence but Christ Himself. You must altogether renounce any trust in your own righteousness. Renounce your own strength and wisdom. Jesus came to rescue guilty sinners that would trust in His Blood alone. Jesus came to make guilty sinners not guilty. Salvation is all undeserved grace. Never trust in your own knowledge, abilities, or understanding. The Gospel divides - one goes towards life and one towards death. Give up self-rule. You say, We are our own, we will do as we like. But simple dependence upon the crucified and living Savior is your only hope. The way of Salvation is by simple pentitent faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning blood. But you must first be emptied of self-reliance by the Holy Spirit and the Sword of the Spirit. When compared to Jesus Christ and God's law, you are wickedly dirty within, Look to Jesus dying and rising from the dead for you. You are a sinner, you can only be saved by grace alone through repentant faith alone in Jesus Christ's shed blood alone. You're very wicked, but Jesus is very good, and He will save you today.

Simple Faith (1)

There is power in Simple Faith in Jesus Christ, the Divine Creator Himself. Trust God as He reveals Himself in Christ Jesus, and you shall find eternal salvation. Cleave to the Lord Jesus Christ by a simple faith in His precious blood. Only in Christ are we anything. Stay at the foot of the Cross flat on His promise. Nothing am I Lord, absolutely nothing, but you are my All in All. Lord Jesus, I am emptiness (fill me), nakedness (clothe me), starving (feed me), weakness (strengthen me). Simple faith in the Crucified and Risen Mediator will save your immortal soul from the love of sin. Whosoever believeth in Him is saved on the spot, whosoever trusts Christ has eternal life. Pardon and salvation belong to every soul that hangs his hope upon the Cross of Christ. Renounce your proud conceit. Seek personal purity with all your heart by faith in Jesus Christ. Simple reliance on the Lamb of God. Rest in His power, believe in His strength. Ye must be born again.

Cling to Jesus in simple confidence. Human doing is a deadly thing that ends up in the Lake of Fire. The reception of Jesus Christ into the heart by Simple Faith crucifies the flesh. Your sin is the murderer of Jesus Christ. Our spirit should recoil with horror at the thought of sin. Think much of the atoning blood of God. Constant watchfulness, holy fear, devout prayer, and simple faith in Jesus' blood and righteousness cultivates the fallow ground of our hearts. Jesus save me now. Deliver my poor soul from the love of sin. Genuine repentance, real conversion, and simple faith in Jesus Christ. Put all your confidence in God alone. Simple faith leads to the purification of sin. Believe in Jesus at once. Never trust your works or feelings. Rest in Jesus, treasure up His every word, keep His every command loyally with love. Personal private purity, sincere and simple trusting and looking to Jesus gives real joy.

Free Grace, Substitution, Atonement by Blood, Justification by Faith. All my hope hangs on HIM. Give yourself up to Jesus at once to be saved only by His redeeming grace. By a simple faith repose in Christ. We must continue still to walk by the simple faith which rests only upon God - this is the true spirit of a Christian. A creature should trust its Creator. Receive the Gospel with humility, honesty, and simple faith. With a simple faith come and cast yourself upon the Incarnate God who died on Calvary. Jesus living, dying, rising, ascending, sitting at right hand of God, and coming again in His glory. There is matchless power about a simple, humble reliance upon Christ alone. Simple reliance upon the Finished Work of Jesus Christ is the Only Way to New Jerusalem. Jesus Himself is the "A" and the "Z" in the alphabet of grace.

Simple dependence upon Immanuel brings sure salvation. Simple worship at Christ's pierced feet brings real peace of mind. Simple trust in the living Lord Jesus Christ. True reliance upon the hand of the Lord. God accepts and blesses us when we trust in Christ's Perfect Finished Work. Absolute dependence upon God for eternal salvation. Knock with Childlike dependence at the great Father's door (Jesus Christ). The root of the matter is simple reliance upon Christ's shed blood for real and present salvation. Infallible Scripture and an Almighty Savior - simple faith in Him brings peace within. Cry to God for mercy. Simple reliance on God's grace. Unbelief dishonors the faithfulness of God. Depend on and rest in Jesus by a simple faith. A simple look at the Crucified One puts your sins away forever. Lean upon Christ by full reliance. Sinful thoughts lead to sinful habits. Human religion tries to merit favor before God. Lord, please save me from loving my sin.

God is the Creator and He does as He pleases without in anyway consulting with you. He dispenses His grace and favor entirely according to His perfect will. Fallen sinful men have no claims upon the Almighty, you are destitute of any merit, and you can do nothing whatsoever to win God's favor. You are a spiritual pauper, entirely dependent upon Divine Charity. God is controlled by nothing but His own "good pleasure." You're not in charge, you can't do what you want to do to be saved from sin, and you cannot help justify yourself. You want to show yourself worthy of God's salvation, so He will receive you, but that's not the way salvation works. You can't do enough good, God will never take you based on your goodness. Your very best works are likened to filthy rags and dung in the sight of God. Your sins are likened to vomit in the Scriptures. God only saves dirty, bad, vile sinners, because God is so good. Jesus will rescue you, but you can't help rescue yourself. You wish to go your own way, to please yourself, and gratify your lusts. You want to be comfortable in your private wickedness, and you resent Jesus Christ who searches the heart, pierces the conscience, and rebukes your personal evil. The Gospel brings and requires inward purity, not external performances. You can't impress God at all, because you're no good. The Gospel demands repentance (turn from loving your sins) and the denial of self, that is - Stop loving your sin, and trusting in yourself.

Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Step out and trust Jesus Christ instead of your own righteousness. The essence of the Gospel is simple faith in Jesus Himself. Christ Jesus is the sinner's only hope. Only trust Him and enjoy eternal life. Simply trust the merits and Atonement made by Jesus' life and death, and you shall be saved, your sins shall be freely forgiven, your evil nature shall be changed, and you will instantly become a new creature in Christ Jesus. Look only to His perfect atoning sacrifice, Jesus stood in your place, He bore your sins in His own body on the Cross, and if you will trust HIm, He will put your sins away forever. Humble reliance in the mercy and free grace of God. The Gospel doesn't ask you to help save yourself. The Gospel asks you to let Jesus save you freely without any human merit. The essence of faith is trust, reliance, and dependence on the free mercy of God in Christ Jesus. Have no confidence save on Christ's Almighty arm, our full reliance must be placed there only.

Pin your full trust on Jesus Christ's shed blood. Christ died for sinners, you're a sinner, so He died for you. You must be saved by Blood, saved by faith in God's blood, saved by trusting in God's mercy, rescued by relying on Christ's Great Atonement. Believe in God's promises, trust in God's mercy. Your greatest need is His atoning Blood and pardoning Mercy. Men naturally trust in their own sham righteousness, and despise Christ's real righteousness. The hinge on which your salvation turns - is the blood of Christ trusted in or not? What is Christ to you? The very first thing you should do is trust Christ Jesus alone.

Faith Is confidence towards God. Have no confidence in your flesh (your evil self). Confidence towards God means perfect rest. Faith is God-confidence, not self-confidence. Unquestioning confidence in God's goodness, truthfulness, and faithfulness. Sweet confidence in Christ's merit. Unwavering confidence in God's promise. Childlike confidence in the Crucified God. Hang all your confidence on Christ's words. Restful confidence in Jesus. All your hope, trust, and confidence must be fixed upon Jesus. If you are laboring under a sense of sin, seek forgiveness only through simple faith in Jesus' blood, cease not from importunity. Cast yourself into the arms of Jesus, the Crucified Creator. A simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. If you are convicted by sin, and driven to desperation, depend alone upon Christ's Righteousness. Trust nothing of your own.

God 'Reveals' His Wisdom

Blind men care little for color, deaf men care little for music, and atheists care very little for the Crucified and Living Creator. Atheists magnify man and minimize God. But let God be true, and every atheist a liar. Human wisdom can never find out God. Atheism is ‘human wisdom’ at its worst, and it sets itself up against God. Atheists don’t want to be taught, for they know of themselves; they are a rival to THE ONLY WISE GOD. They pretend to be superior to God, they are not willing to learn of Christ, but would trust in themselves. God hides His true wisdom from the wise and prudent. The atheist rejects God, therefore God gives the atheist over to a spiritual blindness. Christ thanked the Father that He does this to careless and thoughtless atheists (See Matthew 11:25-27). Jesus rejoiced over the fact that the wise and prudent (clever smart alecks) couldn’t understand who He was, but that the publicans, harlots, commercial fisherman, and uneducated peasants could. God doesn’t ever reveal Himself to any conceited smart aleck that comes to Him with self-conceited prejudice.

The atheist blinds himself with his own 'human wisdom' and becomes a fool. If atheists are not converted, don’t get upset about it, it is not likely they will be. There is nothing more foolish than when a creature does not acknowledge his Creator. The atheist sets himself up in independence of God, in fact, making himself his own God. God is not everyone’s Father and no one can know the Father unless Christ Himself REVEALS the Father to them. Christ knows the Father and no one else knows Him, except the Son of God. There is no other Person who can approach unto God. Christ must be your Savior, or you will have no Savior at all. Salvation is not in any other man (Acts 4:12), and if you will not have Christ, neither can you have salvation.Without faith in Christ it is IMPOSSIBLE to please the Father.

The atheist thinks the Gospel is for the weak-minded, the credulous, and the superstitious.They speak blasphemy against the things of God that they cannot understand. What they do not want to be true, they try to prove not to be true. Atheism and evolution are types of mental morphine that the Christ-rejecter takes to numb his conscience and common sense. They turn up the noise of their caviling to drown out the ‘still small voice’ that is knocking and troubling them. The atheist thinks the gospel is beneath their consideration, because it does not flatter their pride, and because they are so occupied with their own human wisdom that they have no time for the things of God. Human learning can never reveal ‘divine truth’ to the lost soul, only the grace of God and the work of the Holy Ghost can do that. You must be willing to be a nothing and a nobody, and no atheist will ever do that of himself.

The Gospel of Christ says that sinners are guilty and lost, because of our sins against the Almighty, the Gospel offers free and full pardon through a Crucified Savior’s sinless blood. The Holy Ghost woos and warns the sinner to turn from Sin and Self-Righteousness and take the bleeding Savior. The laboring and heavy laden sinner lays hold on Christ by faith, and free eternal life is granted to him instantly, the poor sinner is made a new creature by the power of God without human works being involved.

The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are REVEALED belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law (Deut 29:29). Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, neither was the word of the Lord yet REVEALED unto him. And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord REVEALED Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord (I Sam 3:7,21). Who hath believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord REVEALED (Isaiah 53:1)? Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be REVEALED (Isaiah 56:1). Then was the secret REVEALED unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven (Daniel 2:19). Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but He REVEALETH His secret unto His servants the prophets (Amos 3:7).

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast REVEALED them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto Me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will REVEAL Him (Matthew 11:25-27). And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not REVEALED it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 16:17). And it was REVEALED unto Simeon by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ (Luke 2:26). (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be REVEALED (Luke 2:35). In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast REVEALED them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will REVEAL Him (Luke 10:21:22).

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God REVEALED from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is REVEALED from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:16-18). But God hath REVEALED them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God (I Cor 2:10).
