*The Greatest*

Jesus Christ was The Greatest man that ever lived on the face of the earth: He was God manifest in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16). The Creator became a creature, so He could save us poor sinners from the wrath to come. He was the greatest Artist that ever lived. He painted the sky, the mountains, forests, oceans, galaxies, and the Niagara Falls. See John 1:3. The Alps, all the beaches, the Rockies, every sunrise and sunset, and the Appalachians were all made by Christ Jesus. Man is so stupid, he can't even make a handful of sand. No artist can imitate Jesus Christ's works. Rembrandt, Picasso, Michelangelo, Monet could never paint nature like Jesus Christ did. People travel everywhere just to see the things that Jesus Christ painted and made.

Jesus Christ was the greatest Author that ever lived. No one could ever write a book like the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible is banned in countries, because it is more dangerous than a nuclear weapon. The Holy Bible is in higher demand than any other book. Jesus Christ is the greatest Musician that ever lived. Mozart, Handel, Haydn, and Beethoven all put together couldn't hold a light to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ will put a song in your heart that will stay. Jesus Christ was the greatest Scientist that ever lived. He created all the plants, animals, chemical elements, and human beings. Evolution teaches that man came from a rock. Jesus made human beings four ways: Adam out of the dust, Eve out of Adam's rib, Jesus was born of a virgin, and a man and woman combined. There's nobody like Jesus Christ - nobody - He's the real thing. Muhammed, Buddha, every Pope, Joseph Smith, and Darwin are all counterfeits. Study and get closely acquainted with Jesus Christ, and you will be able to spot a counterfeit in a second. Jesus bled to death on Calvary's Cross for your sins. God was manifest in the flesh in the person of Jesus of Nazareth.

The greatest Preacher that ever lived was Jesus Christ. He was a greater preacher than Jonah, Paul, George Whitefield, D.L. Moody, Charles Spurgeon, or Bob Jones, Sr. He is the greatest Lover that ever lived. No one ever cared for you like Jesus Christ. Jesus loved you even when He knew all about you. You mother may love you, but if she knew all about you, it would turn her hair white 10 years ahead of time. Jesus is the Lover of men's souls. The Gospel is the only real love story (Romans 5:8; John 3:16). Christ died for you sins. Have you another Friend that would do this? Jesus was the greatest Doctor that ever lived. He healed lepers, and blind and deaf men instantly. When He was here on the face of this earth, everywhere He went Jesus healed folks, and never charged them a penny. You'll never find a doctor like Jesus Christ.

Jesus was the greatest Soldier that ever lived. He was brave and loyal to the end. He is the Captain of our salvation - He leads in the battle against sin and Satan. He set His face like a flint to go to Jerusalem and face the horrible death of the Cross. He was a greater soldier than Chesty Puller, Audie Murphy, or Salvatore Giunta. Jesus walked in the shadow of death all of His life. Jesus is the greatest Detective that ever lived. Jesus can track you down. Be sure your sin will find you out. He will hunt you down and arrest you. Jesus is keeping track of everything you think, do, or say. Jesus is the greatest Teacher that ever lived. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Sitting at the feet of Jesus Christ is where you will learn the most. Jesus Christ is the greatest Guide that ever lived. He will show where to go when you are lost and confounded.

When Christ returns at the Second Advent, Jesus will be the greatest World Leader that ever lived (Psalm 8:1; 33:8; 47:2; 72:19; Isaiah 12:5; 54:5; Zechariah 14:9). Rejoice in the Lord Jesus Christ's Highness (Isaiah 13:3). Rejoice when Jesus Christ is exalted, magnified, and lifted up. His enemies shall lick the dust, they shall bow down to Him with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of His feet, and they shall know that He is the LORD, and they shall be afraid of Him. They shall not be ashamed that wait for Jesus Christ (Psalm 72:9; Isaiah 49:23; Micah 7:17). You won't laugh at or cuss Jesus Christ on that Day. Jesus will be the greatest King that ever lived. He is KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS (I Timothy 6:15). It shouldn't bother you to think that Jesus Christ will have absolute, complete control over your life, because He should have it right now. Right now, either Jesus Christ is on the throne of your heart, or you are on the throne. Be wise now - bow your knees to Jesus Christ, and let Him be your God, and let Him have supreme rule over your life (Colossians 1:18; 3:15). Jesus is The Great (Jeremiah 32:18).

The Most Important Matter

Beggars in the old days would make a little mark on the doors that gave to them. These marks would tell other beggars, "This is a good house to knock at." Knock boldly. Christ's door is a good one to knock at. The Lord Jesus' storehouse of bread is filled with heavenly food for your soul. Bankrupt beggars are always welcome there. At Christ's door nobody is rejected. You only have misery and no merit. Real need and importunity is the key, not your self-righteousness and self-confidence. Human nature relies on its own merits. Human nature thinks it must do something, it will not yield to have it all done for it, it will not consent to be saved 'freely' by the Righteousness of Jesus Christ. Human nature persists in being saved by some doings of its own. You must believe what God says, do that which God bids, and take the free salvation which God provides. With your whole heart rely on Christ's Atonement. Your sole business sinner is trusting your soul with Christ. Lean only on Christ with all the weight your soul and all the weight of your sin. Drunkards, swearers, fornicators, unchaste, lovers of sin, come to Cross. This is the highest and best wisdom. Jesus Christ, the God-Man, came into this world where He bore our sins and was brutally beaten and crucified on our behalf, so God's wrath toward human sin could be satisfied, so our sins could be freely forgiven through simple faith in Jesus' most precious blood. Jesus is alive now - flee to Him.

Rest your weary soul on the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, and put all your reliance upon Him as crucified, risen, interceding for all that trust Him. You only have to trust and receive what Christ has finished. Trust Christ, and you are His forever. We give up with great reluctance our flattering opinions of ourselves. Man can hardly be dragged away from his self-justification. You must be emptied of your own merits so you will receive Christ's merits. There must be an emptiness of self. There must be a personal reception of Christ Jesus Himself. In salvation, the sinner does nothing but receive freely. Come empty-handed and take Jesus Christ to be your all. Precious Savior, give me Yourself, I am done with my own merit. I renounce all my doing and working. I take You to be everything to me. If Jesus Christ has received me, whom will He not receive?

Your best works are sin, your righteousness is unrighteousness. Jesus died so that lost sinners may live forever. The Incarnate God laid down His life for His enemies. Simple trust in Jesus Himself, simple faith in His Blood, simple dependence on His Righteousness. The blackest and grossest sins are doubting and rejecting Christ. Salvation is a pure gift of God, not of human works, or the result of human merit, but of free favor only, not of man, but the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Humble suppliants are saved at the Cross. You must glory only in the Righteousness of Another. Jesus died for sinners, He came to save the ungodly. You can never acquire enough merit to enter heaven, or procure the forgiveness of sin on earth.

A sinner cannot be saved by what he does, salvation is entirely in Christ. Seek earnestly after Christ, knock at His door. If you are sickened by the ugliness of your own sinfulness, flee to the Cross of Christ - look to the Lamb of God. You don't just do bad things, you are BAD, you are an evil, bent, corrupt, wicked, cursed, perverted, proud, selfish Sinner! You are a sinner, and nothing else but a sinner (I Timothy 1:15). Without Jesus Christ, your whole life is just one big Sin - just one long string of sins, one after another continually, without Jesus Christ all you do is sin. You have done infinite wrong against an infinitely good God. Your sins don't come out of nowhere, your vile thoughts and dirty ways come from own your own stinking sinfulness. Christ is the only Person that can save you from the force and power of sin within you.

You are unable to keep God's perfect requirements, you have sinned and come short of the glory of God. You have earned eternal death and curses. But God in Christ has provided free salvation for all poor sinners. Jesus obeyed the Law perfectly for you, but He received your penalty for disobeying the Law. You have disobeyed the Law, but by simple faith in Jesus, you can receive the blessing of Christ's sinless obedience. Christ became a curse for you on Calvary's Cross. Sinners are saved by works, the perfect works of Jesus Christ alone who shed His precious blood for His enemies.

There is nothing in you that can win any favor with God. You need a Savior. Listen attentively, with all your ears listen, hear the Gospel as God's word of mercy to undeserving sinners. Don't let your thoughts wander here and there, give diligent heed, enquire with eagerness. Faith is confidence towards Christ Jesus, have no confidence in yourself. Your sin is heinous, Christ's Blood is Precious. Begin to pray, true desire, believing confidence, invoke the Almighty for His heavenly mercy through Christ's Blood and Righteousness. Cry with your whole heart to God, be a suppliant for mercy, lay hold on the Cross. I am a sinner, I must have mercy from my Maker. Throw away everything to get to Christ. Human merit is the way to the Lake of Fire.

This is the most important matter. Press to Jesus at once. You have lived all your life without regard to Christ. Cherished sins, worldly and vile companions, the lust of the flesh is man's way. Faith is the great saving grace. Faith in Christ is the root of real life. The Faith that saves is a heart belief that Jesus Christ the Lamb of God, God manifest in the flesh, offered a sinless Atonement for my human sin. A simple trusting in His Blood Atonement for free salvation. Jesus is within earshot still. He will hear you now. Look to His dear wounds, trust in the Merit of His Blood. Nothing but the Blood of Jesus will kill your love of sin. The death of sin is only in the blood of JEHOVAH. Human merit is bunk.

The human heart is a triangle, the world is a circle. The world can't fit in your heart, but the Trinity can. Jesus is to be had. Rest your everlasting hope upon the resurrection of Christ from the dead. Believe Jesus both died and rose again for you. Place your entire dependence upon the Merit of His Blood, it was certified by His resurrection. The way of human works is the way to Hell. You can do nothing by your best works to merit eternal life. Fix your faith in Jesus on your best performances are but dressed-up sins. All your best works are bad. Your need to be forgiven of your best deeds. Good works do not influence the mind of God to save a sinner from Hell. Your best works are completely unacceptable.

If your trust in your righteousness at all, it will be your eternal ruin. Your best works are presumptuous sins which reject the Savior and set themselves up in His place. Jesus Christ died to save you, because you are a sinner. Your best works are imperfect. The work most pleasing to God is to believe on Christ whom God has sent to live, love, die, and rise again for ungodly sinners. There are a thousand flaws in your best works. Your best works are bad works. Your best works will destroy you, because selfishness is at the bottom of all of them since you do them that you might be saved by them.

Stop Lingering

You must be born again, for if you are not born TWICE, you will die twice, both physically (the first death) and spiritually in the lake of fire (the second death). You must be washed in the Blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for His enemies, or else you will die in your sins. You must come humbly to *HIM* for mercy, and find everything your soul needs in HIM, or you will remain under the wrath of God, condemnation, and will inevitably perish in your iniquity. Your sins being forgiven by Christ Jesus is what matters most. Repent - stop lingering in your darkness, turn your back on your sins, stop walking toward hell, do an about face, repent toward God, and stop flirting with disaster. Make Christ the Priority in your thoughts. Trust Christ with your soul, or else you will lose it. The mission of the unsaved man is to love himself and try and satisfy himself. The Gospel offends human nature, because human nature loves sin, and self-righteousness.

The only Help there is, or ever will be, for any sinner is Christ Jesus Himself. Christ died for sinners, you are a sinner, that means Jesus died for you, that's for sure. Now Jesus said, "I am the Door." When you leave or enter your house, you must go through a door. When you get in or out of your car, you must go through a door. If you go to Wal-Mart or Target, you have to go through a door. If you go to a drugstore or the hospital, you have to go through a door. Doors are the access points to all the important places in your life. And if you want to get into Heaven one day, you must go through the Door of Heaven, His name is Jesus Christ, the living God who loved you and gave Himself for you. The only thing that can Help your guilty soul is to cast yourself down at Jesus' feet, and He will give you a sound mind. You need to get to the Person who can fix your sin problem.

Evolution and darwinism can't ever cover up your sins. God's all-seeing eyes can see right through your body, soul, and spirit right now (Proverbs 15:3). You have a perverse heart, and you need to depend upon Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ's Precious Blood can make you Right inside where no one can see, but God. Every thought of atheism is a vain thought. If you think yourself to be anything more than a mass of sin and helplessness, that is a vain thought.

You will be separated from God forever, if Jesus doesn't save you from the love of your sin. You can get all your sins forgiven right now, if you will simply come to Jesus by faith. As long you live unsaved and unforgiven, you are in a very dangerous condition, that is certain. All real faith is created in the heart by the Holy Ghost and the word of God. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved from the love of sin. Sin will take you farther than you want to go; Sin will keep you longer than you want to stay, and your Sin will cost you far more than you ever wanted to pay. If you are not saved from your sinful state, right now, you are in the Devil's family, you are a child of the Devil and Darkness. That's why you must be Born Again (John 3:7) out of the family of Satan and into the family of God, through simple faith in Jesus' sin-atoning blood.

Victim of Wrong Information

Every atheist and religionist is a poor Victim of wrong information, and it is a fatal tragedy. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a solemn and serious thing - it is solid Truth. Darkness, doom, damnation, and despair is your inevitable future without Jesus Christ. You are a poor, polluted, perverse and guilty sinner; alienated from the life of God, and exposed to the wrath of God and eternal condemnation, and deserving eternal death. You are living carelessly and corruptly, neglecting God's Son. You are thirsty and bankrupt. You do not possess any good at all; you are penniless spiritually. Accept the Verdict of God's word concerning you, acknowledge you are unable to achieve any good. You have rebelled against your Creator in a deliberate and resolute fashion. You are unprepared to die. You are lost in sin, your condition is hopeless, you are trapped in your self. Your feet are running toward hell at an alarming pace. Your conscience faithfully alarms and worries you.

You cannot earn your way to Heaven. Everything has been earned for you, because of what Jesus Christ did on your behalf. Every sinner must be saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus' blood alone. The complete forgiveness of sins is absolutely free. You don't get to Heaven by your works, but by the works of Jesus Christ. If think you're a good person, that is a wicked thought. To profess your own goodness (self-righteousness) is a stench in the nostrils of Almighty God. Repent of your own self-goodness, and implicitly trust in Christ's Blood and Goodness.

Lost sinner, come to your senses now - Believe the grand old truth of Eternal Redemption by the Precious Blood of Jesus, Free Justification by God’s atoning blood. Salvation is a Free Gift, for it is Priceless. The moment you wholly Trust Christ, all is clear between you and God, there is nothing unsettled, nothing to do, Jesus has paid your way. Bow low and adore the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. You are now an evil undone sinner in need of the Incarnate God who died for sinners. Every unregenerate, unconverted sinner is in great imminent danger of losing his soul forever. I will never flatter you with empty smooth religious words.

Guilty blood is now flowing through your veins; but Innocent Blood flowed through Jesus' veins. Christ loved you and gave Himself for you. Jesus was the Innocent Victim for your sins. Jesus was and is really God in human flesh, He was really and totally sinless. Jesus kept the strict and perfect divine Law perfectly. Even His enemies could find no fault in HIM. Absolute perfection was God's requirement. Jesus knew no sin, He did no sin, He was in all pointed tempted like as we are, yet without Sin. Only the Holy Spirit can alert you and open your eyes to the evil and danger of your sins. Jesus’ work on Calvary is the only possible way of salvation. Almighty God is only pleased and satisfied with Christ's blood and merits. Your soul is stained and saturated with your iniquities; only Christ's Righteousness can protect you from the Justice of God.

Darwin's smooth prescription of evolution, and the religionist’s deadly remedy of salvation by human merit is not true – they are all hellish lies that came from the mind of Satan to damn your soul. Be wise - Make the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ your soul's sole hope today. Come now - trust and worship at Jesus' blessed feet. If you die unprepared, unconverted, and unsaved, there remains nothing but a fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation for you. The Atonement did away with any need for human merit. Eternal punishment must fall upon your sins. If you die in your sins neglecting Christ’s cure, you will have to suffer that punishment. The Atonement cannot be repeated or added to by human efforts.

The Blood of Jesus Christ alone can cleanse and absolve your guilty soul from ALL SIN. None but Jesus can do helpless sinners good. Humbly plead Jesus' precious name and blood. The God of all grace poured out His own life's blood on Calvary's Cross for your guilty soul's sake. This eternal life-giving blood is the only means of escaping the fury and wrath of an offended God. The only thing that can take away human sin is God's Blood. Close now with the Blood of Jesus Christ by the grace of God through simple childlike faith in *HIM*. See John 6:47.

Moving Day

Almost everyone has experienced moving from one house to another. When relocating there's so much to do! Sometimes it’s hard to know what to tackle first. Move planning usually starts about two to three months out from your actual move date. Planning and preparing for your move helps reduce stress. Getting rid of unnecessary clutter, packing valuables, and taking a box of bare necessities that will need to get started at your new residence is always critical.

But there is different kind of move and relocation that we all must go through. One day our soul must vacate our body and enter eternity. Our souls moved into our bodies at birth and will exit at death. Our souls must move out eventually - it is inevitable. You cannot escape death. Preparing for death is prudence. God made and sustains this house of flesh we live in; He is the Landlord and we are the tenants. God made your bodily house in the womb of your mother, and He has been sustaining your body's health for years and years. There is much rent due to God for the house in which you dwell. Your life is frailer than a soap bubble or a flower and could be crushed at any moment. Man in his pride thinks he will live forever.

Many people live their lives as though they will for a thousand years. But what is your life? The Bible says, "It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." Man lay out their selfish plans for months and years; where they will retire, but they know what a day may bring forth, much less a year. If you getting ready to move, you normally get rid of a lot of unneeded junk. The same is true at death, many things that we thought we're important will be dropped immediately. When you move, you normally tell all your friends goodbye, the same is true at death - we must say farewell to earthly friends and enter into eternity.

You do not own your body, you are only residing in it for awhile. God built it and He let you live in it. Your body belongs to the Creator who built it; He sustains it, and keeps the title deed in His possession. Your body belongs to God Himself; you are God's property. He created you for His glory. Your soul was spoken into existence by Him. Your physical strength, health, and abilities were all given to you from God's gracious hand. You were fearfully and wonderfully made by the Almighty. Every vein, nerve, bone, muscle, and organ of your body was skillfully made by God alone. Your breath is in your nostrils; but the LORD keeps it there. You are a walking pile of dust maintained by the omnipotent hand of God. If God's hand of mercy was withdrawn from your bodily house, you would fall down and die immediately. Your strength and intellect have all come from the Lord Jesus Christ. Hour by hour the infinite mercy of God keeps you alive physically. You owe all you have and all you are to Jesus Christ.

You must set your house in order before you move into eternity. No one can do it for you - you yourself must go to the Landlord and settle up. You have lived in your body for years and have willfully avoided the Landlord, and you're way overdue on your rent. The Landlord has lovingly visited and knocked on the door of your heart numerous times, but you chose to ignore and avoid Him. He is willing to help you. Christ Jesus is so longsuffering and He is still willing to freely forgive your sin-debt if you will only cry out to Him for mercy.

If a person is being evicted and put out on the street, he doesn't look forward to moving. This is man dying without Christ. But if a person is moving out of a shack and into a mansion, he is longing for that day. This is a poor and needy sinner that has been saved by grace divine, and he is longing to move out of his vile body and depart and be with his King of Grace forever.

Prepare for moving day - the movers could show up in your driveway any day. Your lease in this life will soon run out. The Landlord could send you an eviction notice any day now; no one knows when they will die. There will be no hope of you resisting God's eviction notice, you will have to vacate immediately, even if the wisest doctors and best medical technology may be helping you avoid His eviction orders. The pillars of your body will start to shake, the windows will grow dark, you will expire, and your house will cave in. By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.

Sinful men cling to this mortal life for this is all they have. The Landlord reserves the right to enter and leave your house, condemn it, and even tear it down, because it is His property, not yours. But the Lord Jesus Christ, in meekness and lowliness, humbly knocks at your heart and patiently waits for you to let Him enter and save you by His free grace and dying love. The dust and filth of sin is now lying all over your floors. But the Lord will sweep your life with the broom of His law, and then wash you with His precious blood. The windows of your life are very unclean and spotted, and the light of the glorious gospel cannot enter. The sewage of sin is backed up and is polluting and killing your soul.

Set your house in order. Unless Christ enters and helps you, there is no hope for you. Unless Christ and the Holy Spirit come to your rescue, your house will remain filthy and in disarray, and will be condemned. You must go to Christ personally. He came into the world to save sinners; He died in your place. You will be not right with God until you are right with Christ. Your lease will soon run out, and your rent must be paid; but you can't afford it. You need someone with riches beyond your understanding to pay your awful debt. Christ died to PAY for your sins. Give up the key (your will) to the Landlord, let Christ in your bodily house, and let Him go where He wants. Let Him renew your soul, purge your conscience, regenerate your spirit, forgive all your sin, and save your soul immediately and forever. Remember - you must have Christ's redeeming blood on your soul when you die in order to escape the wrath of God. God's blood is applied to your soul by faith in Christ alone.

The rent on your house must be paid in full before you depart this world. You are in the arrears; your debts to God are unpaid and way overdue. Your duty and obligation to God is live a perfect life, but you have sinned many times against Him, and have fallen way short of God's perfect holiness. Every time you've sinned in your life, your sin-debt (rent) has been climbing higher and higher. You have rejected Christ, the apple of God's eye. You have lived carelessly and wasted paid all your soul's rent money on your self, sin, and Satan. Your rent is way too much for you to pay now. You must settle up with the Landlord before you move out of your body, or face going to Eternity without God. Prepare to meet thy God-flee the wrath to come. Since you're bankrupt and flat broke spiritually, you must cry out for mercy and ask the Landlord to forgive your sin-debt and blot out your sinful bills. Christ is waiting for your desperate cry for help. You need Christ's charity-you need a free hand-out from Heaven - your soul is desperate and destitute because of your sin. You cannot work enough to pay your sin-debt before you die and meet God.

Prepare for your moving day now-your departure is at hand. Please do not procrastinate and leave your house in a dilapidated state at death. Open your heart's door to Christ, turn your keys over to Him, and surrender complete possession to Him before it is too late. Don't let your house cave in on you - you don't know when you will die. Let Christ come in now and save you before it is too late. Commit your soul to Christ by faith and trust in His precious blood alone. If you die without your rent being paid, you will have to pay it forever in hell. Your sins must be paid for by death and wrath. Christ suffered that death and wrath for you; but you must choose Him, believe Him, yield to Him and receive Him. Come now, leave all your sins with Him, Trust His Blood and Rely on His Righteousness - Count On HIM alone.

Please stop rejecting and neglecting Jesus Christ; in God's eyes, this is the most heinous sin you can commit. You need Christ's holiness to enter into Heaven and dwell with God forever. Consider this - you're a sinner, and all sinners belong to Satan's family before they are born again into God's family. Satan has been judged and he will soon be sentenced to Hell and the Lake of Fire. If you are lost and belong to the devil when you die, you will go to live with Satan in hell. The time of your departure to another world could be soon. Your life may be a dirty and disorganized, your rent-bill (sin-debt) may be way behind and growing every day, but there is One Person that can cleanse your soul and prepare you to enter eternity safely - His name is Jesus. Trust in His name alone - look away from yourself, turn from trusting yourself and loving sin, and look only to the bleeding Lamb of God. Christ Jesus is alive, He is risen from the dead, and He is able to save you to the uttermost, if you call upon HIM right now.

The Gospel Message says Jesus died for your sins, He was buried, and He rose again the third day according to the scriptures. He loved you and gave Himself for you. He took the place for all the punishment (death and wrath) that your sins should receive. He paid for your sins, so you could go free – that is substitution. The Bible also says that the Lord Jesus, after He died, rose from death and is alive evermore. Today, He offers the free gift of eternal life. If you believe the Gospel Message and receive Christ as your Savior, you can have eternal life. The scriptures say, “the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Salvation from sin is a free gift. You can have a home in Heaven, forgiveness of sins, be one of God’s born again children.

Jesus didn’t die because He sinned, He died for your sins, so you could go free and not be judged and damned. The Bible says that everybody has sinned, so we must all have our sins punished. So must must make a choice - Christ or sin. If we don’t accept the punishment that Jesus went through for us in our place, we will have to be punished for our own sins in the lake of fire forever. Jesus rose from the dead and He offers you eternal life by believing the Gospel Message and receiving the Person of Christ Himself. You must call out for Him – He will heed the sinner's cry - a desperate cry for help. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

Remember to Hit *Save*

We live in the information age, and the data we work with every day is very critical to our personal and professional lives. Have you ever been working on a document or spreadsheet for a long time, and you forget to ‘Hit Save’, and then your computer locks up or there’s a power surge/outage? This is so frustrating. All of your work is lost in the blink of an eye. The key is always save your document to the hard drive initially, and always ‘Hit Save’ after every couple of paragraphs, or every 5-10 minutes. Also, remember to save all your critical data to backup storage media on a daily or weekly basis. Today, it’s all about the information.

Likewise, many people live for years and years and the ‘Save’ button for their souls has never been hit. Most people today miss Heaven because they are taken up with things perhaps not evil in themselves, but secondary interests that keep them from God’s best. They are too busy or distracted to realize the importance of their souls. But until your soul is saved, it is in serious danger of being lost eternally. At any time you could die, and your soul would be lost forever. You may ask, “How do you ‘Hit Save’ for your soul? That’s a good question. Well, you can’t ‘Hit Save’ for your soul, you must ask another Person to do it for you, and that Person is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. He will save you once and forever if you only LET Him. Jesus Christ created your soul, He died and rose again from the dead for your soul, and He is the only One who can save your soul from eternal death and hell.

We are all sinners, we are born that way. We have a ‘sin nature’ we received from ‘Adam,’ and it causes us to rebel against the commandments of God. This rebellion provokes the wrath of God toward us. Sin leaves us in a wretched and hopeless state of misery. Sin leaves us guilty and full of shame and fear. Our conscience has warned us over and over to do the right thing, but we loved darkness rather than light, because our deeds are evil.

The Bible says while you are in your sins, you are under the wrath of God. (See John 3:36) But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Rom 5:8). Christ died for the ungodly, not the self-righteous. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, not good people. Only bad people (sinners) can be saved from their sins. There is no hope for the self-righteous. Your good works are no good. Jesus bled for your sin; don’t reject Him.

This is the Good News of the Gospel of the Grace of God. God loved you and sent His precious Son to live a sinless life, die, and live again for you – the Just for the unjust, the Sinless for sinners, the God-Man for sinful man. God became a Man (Jesus Christ). God took on human flesh so that He could be crucified; so that He could experience what He had never experienced before – Death. The atoning work of Christ (sinless blood sacrifice) involved death, so that you could have life. Your punishment and God’s wrath was meted out on Christ, so that you could be saved from the wrath of God forever freely, without any works of our own. Jesus said, “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7) and, “Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.” (John 18:37)

The Innocent Lamb of God gave His life for the guilty. And the very moment you receive that Lamb as your Substitute; and exercise faith (heart-trust) in the Savior and His blood alone, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself will ‘Hit Save’ and your soul is safe forever by His grace, not by your works at all. You don’t have to do anything but believe on the One who has done it all for you. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Just like you would on a couch, stretch out your soul on the Lord Jesus Christ and rest totally in His doings and sufferings. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. There’s no such thing as a free lunch. But, there is such a thing as free salvation, because Jesus paid for it. You must come to Christ as a sinner on His terms, not yours. Christ is the only cure for your sin problem. Only Christ’s precious blood can settle the feud between you and God. Your conscience can only be silenced by the blood of Christ. God be merciful to me a sinner through the blood of Christ.

Two Keys

In Hebrews 13:18, the Bible says, "Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly." Prayer is so important for us to have good conscience and a good testimony; Paul, at the end of most of his epistles asked for the prayers of the saints. Years ago, Daniel the prophet was threatened with death by the authorities, but he had rather spend a night with the lions than a day without prayer - Daniel would rather die than not pray and fellowship with his God. Are we committed to prayer as Daniel was? Good ole Daniel believed in 'his' God. Daniel maintained a good conscience inwardly and a good testimony outwardly. Daniel had an adoring affection for his God first and foremost. Mark it down, Only prayers covered with Jesus' atoning blood can move the heart and hand of God. John Wesley said this, "God does nothing but in answer to prayer."

Here are the two keys to Real Christianity: A Good Conscience and a Good Testimony. We need to have a Good Conscience in all things; this means being "honest on the inside" with God and ourselves (Acts 23:1; 24:16; II Cor 1:12), and we also need have a Good Testimony – this means to live honestly in all things toward our neighbors (II Cor 8:21; Rom 12:17; I Thess 4:12; I Peter 2:12). We should be affable, kind, tenderhearted, forbearing and forgiving. Now understand - Inward honesty is most important. We should seek to be free from guile and deceit in our thoughts, words, and deeds. Most people get this backwards like the Pharisees did. They had a lot of do’s and don’ts on the outside, but no purity, sincerity, and love for God on the inside. Christianity is not just having a bunch of outward convictions and strange doctrines and conceits (Hebrews 13:9). We must ‘think honestly and purely’ or we will never have the true peace of God inwardly (Phil 4:8). We must live a prayerful, joyful, grateful life to God. Only honest and good hearts bring forth pleasing fruit to God (Luke 8:15). We should always live decently before others, and walk in wisdom toward them that are without.

A 'good and pure conscience' is a conscience that is tuned and cleansed by the Scripture of truth. When we lose our testimony and reputation before men, our service becomes vain and useless. Most of the time, long before we ever lose our 'good testimony' with man, we have lost our 'good conscience' with God. We need much more grace in our hearts daily, fresh grace every day, not just new meat in our head. Having a ‘meathead’ (Hebrews 13:9) and a carnal heart will never profit the LORD, yourself, or anyone else at all. We need more grace (James 4:6) and wisdom (James 1:5). Meat occupies many Christians' heads and they end up distracted and in the ditch. A walk with just meat and convictions will make us very 'mean, judgmental, and barren.' We need to stick with simple Christianity, a childlike faith in Jesus, a pure and gracious heart, a good conscience, a faith unfeigned - a useful life. Remember - Sin always complicates life. Continue to hold faith (toward man) and a good conscience (toward God) (I Timothy 1:19). We must have both these things in order to be true and useful in the Lord's work: inward honesty towards God (good conscience - I Timothy 1:5), and outward honesty toward man (good testimony - II Thess 2:1). As much as lieth in you, inwardly abhor sin (Rom 12:9), and outwardly avoid sin (I Thess 5:22) and stand in the true grace of God (I Pet 5:12). Many Christians chase their tails for years and years, but these two simple keys (A Good Conscience in the sight of God, and a Good Testimony in the sight of man), if used daily (Luke 9:23), will unlock the door to peace and joy for you everyday.

But [we] have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God (II Cor 4:2). Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences (II Cor 5:1).
