Beware - A Bible Word

Here are some things that the Holy Scriptures tell us to Beware of:

** Beware of forgetting the Lord Jesus Christ and His words. Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping His commandments, and His judgments, and His statutes, which I command thee this day (Deut 6:12; 8:11).

** Beware of following the thoughts of your wicked heart. Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee (Deut 15:9).

** Beware of false prophets that dress up in religious garb and have flowery words and a greedy heart. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves (Matt 7:15).

** Beware of men in general, men cannot be trusted, only the Good Creator is faithful and worthy to be trusted. But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues (Matt 10:17).

** Beware of man-made religion that stresses on human merit and not Christ's merit. Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees (Matt 16:6). How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees (Matt 16:11-12). And Jesus charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod (Mark 8:15).

** Beware of religious hypocrisy that stresses on the outward and not on the inward. Human religion wants to dupe you and lead you over the cliff of Eternity into the Lake of Fire. In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, Jesus began to say unto His disciples FIRST OF ALL, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy (Luke 12:1).

** Beware of not being content and always wanting more and more. And Jesus said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth (Luke 12:15).

** Beware of super-religious conviction-ites that stress much on what you should wear. These types of folks think that garb gives them more grace. They want to appear to be something, when they are NOTHING. And Jesus said unto them in His doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, (Mark 12:38). Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feast (Luke 20:46).

** Beware of despising free salvation through simple faith in the Precious Blood and Perfect Righteousness of Jesus Christ, or you will perish in your sins. Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you (Acts 13:40-41).

** Beware of religious dogs that will lick your hand one day, and then bite you the next. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision (Philippians 3:2).

** Beware of following after the teachings and philosophies of this world (Yes we can!), they are nothing but the empty trickery of Satan. The tradition of men will lead you down to hell, and the rudiments (root principles) of this world are only Christ-rejecting, Bible-hating principles that exalt man and forget God. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ (Colossians 2:8).

** Beware of being led away from the simplicity of the Gospel, and into errors concerning the grace of God, the word of God, and the finished work of Jesus Christ. In a nutshell - Fear and please God, adore Jesus Christ, abhor your sins, don't grieve the Spirit. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness (II Peter 3:17).

Beware of trusting another gospel. Here is the True Gospel - Jesus Christ Himself is the only way to God. Your sin and rebellion have cut you off from God. You are lost in your sins and unbelief, and estranged from God. Only the Blood of Christ can reconcile your lost soul back to the living God. The living Lord Jesus Christ is personally the Way to God. Jesus is the God who became flesh; He perfectly obeyed the Law of God, and then offered Himself up as a Blood Sacrifice for our sins on Calvary, and rose again from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is now exalted above all in Heaven.

You must repent of your sins and selfishness, and trust Christ's Finished Work personally. You must know Jesus Christ personally before you die. Jesus is the only Way to God. This is an exclusive claim made by Jesus Himself in John 14:6. Read it for yourself. Jesus is not one way to God, or a way to God; He is the Only Way to God there will ever be. If you say otherwise, you contradict Jesus Christ and make Him out to be a liar. God the Savior will have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave Himself to be a Ransom for all.
