* The wages of sin is death, don't treat sin lightly. Your sins nailed Jesus Christ to the Cross, and your sin is terrible enough to send you to Hell. You better be hell scared than hell scorched. I'm afraid to sin. You better come clean. You can't be going to heaven and hell at the same time. Sin is an awful thing. You'd better go find a nest of rattlesnakes and lie down and sleep with them, rather than lie down in the arms of sin. You'd better go down to the power station in your community and play with a few thousand volts of electricity, rather than play with sin. It would be better to play with lightning, than to play with lust and sin. There isn't any sin any sinner ever committed that every sinner under the proper provocation could not commit. Sin is an awful thing. You have the power to choose between heaven and hell, God and the devil, right and wrong. Hell is God's insane asylum for the incurable sinner that just won't have Jesus Christ. If you're lost don't blame anybody but yourself. You don't have to go to Hell. You don't have to be lost for all eternity. The only thing between a lost sinner and Hell is one heartbeat, and the only thing between me and Heaven is the Cross and the shed blood of Jesus Christ. You are either right or wrong, saved or lost, on God's side or the devil's side. Don't take any chances with your soul. Jesus Christ is willing and able to save you now. Nobody could stay dead around Jesus here on earth.
* Money can't buy some things: the love of a clean woman, true friendship, peace of a good conscience, your own little baby. Men want to live. Man struggles for another breath right up to the hour he dies. Jesus of Nazareth can make sinful men live forever. You don't enough anything to buy something as valuable as Eternal Life. Salvation is already bought, it was bought with the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. Eternal Life is already bought and paid for. Salvation is God's free gift to guilty sinners for Jesus' sake.
*Jesus died on the Cross to keep men out of Hell. People will take the by-products of Christianity, but not Christ. They like it when a man works hard, pays his bills, and tries to be honest. But when it comes down to real old time Bible religion, men naturally hate the old Gospel, because it slaps him in the face. Every man is trying to save himself and doing the best he can. But the best you can do won't save you, it took the best that God could do to save you, not the best you can do. The old Gospel says you can't save yourself, you're a miserable sinner, you love yourself and the devil is your father, there's nothing you can do to save yourself, you can either take Christ Himself, God's way, or leave Him. Now that's clear.
* Jesus is the way into Heaven and the only way out of Hell. The blood of Jesus had to be shed to save sinners from the wrath of God. Man thinks he is sufficient to save himself, but he can't do it. God's plan of redemption by blood is naturally hated by the carnal mind. Jesus bore your sins in his body on Cross, He was wounded for your transgressions and He was bruised for your iniquities, He who knew no sin was made to be Sin for you, and He bore your sins in his body on the Cross. Your sin debt is paid, you can't earn that, it's already been earned. Everybody is trying to earn what Jesus already paid for. The best man that ever lived on the face of this earth has to be saved by grace. Grace is getting something you didn't earn. The only way you can get Eternal Life is for Jesus to give it to you as a Gift. Man is naturally inclined to earn his own way to heaven, but Jesus Christ bought you a free pardon on the Cross with His blood. Turn yourself over to Jesus Christ and let Him save you. Men are not saved because they won't come to the only One that can save them.
* We have more religion in the world today than we probably ever had. But religion won't save you. Man is a religious animal, he has to have some kind of religion. He's not a Christian animal, but he's a religious animal. Religion is one thing, and Christianity is another thing. Religion is not necessarily Christianity, while Christianity is a religion. The Christian religion is different from all other religions of the world. All of the other religions of the world tell you to "Do and live", but Biblical Christianity says to "Live and do". Religion relies on things. But Christianity depends upon a Person who died for sinners. Christianity is Christ, Christ is Christianity. Men call Jesus a good man, but not The Lamb of God. Every man is a sinner, and he can't save himself. So God came down to earth in the person of His Son, clothed in human form. Jesus was God manifest in the flesh. The only man that ever lived on earth that never sinned was Jesus Christ. He was the guiltless Savior who took my guilt. He walked around among men, and went about doing good, He was the only absolute perfect person this world ever knew. And then one day He went up to the Cross and bowed His head and died under the weight of the sins of the whole world. Jesus died for His enemies. God laid down His life for you (I John 3:16), and then He didn't stay dead, He rose from the dead, and is now alive forever. Jesus Christ died on Calvary, so that an infinitely just God could have mercy on sinners.
* Don't take any chances with your soul. Fix all your faith on Jesus Christ - who He is and what He has done for sinners. Something is keeping you from Jesus - the pleasures of this world, your sins and ambitions, pride and uncleanness. You're taking something in the place of Jesus Christ. The reason a man rejects Christ is because there is something in his life that overmasters and dominates him. There is a king sin holding you back from receiving Jesus Christ. Any sin that you commit is deadly and deadening. You can absolutely depend on Jesus Christ - He has never lied and He never will.
All your sins were laid on Jesus and He died in your place. He took the consequences of your sins. If you are trusting your own righteousness to save you, you are lost. The best acts of the best man that ever lived on earth when offered to God as a claim on God for his own salvation is like filthy rags being held up to God. Trust Christ's atoning blood now, and you are saved on the spot. You're lost, if you don't. You main problem is that you've been going your own way. If you're offering God something you've done for salvation and to earn his favor, then your religion is filthy rags. You have nothing to offer Him that will appease His wrath toward your sins. God Almighty is only satisfied with Jesus' precious blood. You must take Christ to be saved. Salvation is offered to you freely. Take Christ or leave Him. If you want Him, you can have Him. He paid your sin debt in full. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved. Depend upon His merits alone. Come to Jesus right now the best way you know how. He will take you if you come to Him (Matthew 11:28; John 6:37). God remember me, God be merciful to me a poor sinner for Jesus' sake.
* The word *Salvation* means the cleansing of your conscience from all the past guilt and the delivery of your soul from habits of evil by the blood of Christ. Salvation is the total restoration of man from his fallen state. It fixes your condition more secure that is was before Adam's fall. You sin has defiled, stained, and accursed your soul. Christ's salvation can heal your sin wounds, and remove your soul's diseases. Christ will deliver you from Hell and admit you to Heaven. Salvation seeks you in your wanderings from God. It puts you on the shoulders of the Shepherd and carries you to the fold of God. It will carry you to the Green Pastures of Heaven and leads you beside the still waters flowing from the throne of God.
* Biblical Christianity is an intolerant religion. A thousand lies can live in peace with one another, but the Truth of Christ stands alone and cannot tolerate the lies of religious man. A hundred deceiving religions may sleep peacably in the same bed, but Biblical Christianity is like an alarm clock that awakes them all to their deception and danger. Do you think anyone can be saved and enter Heaven's bliss apart from Christ's precious blood being applied to their soul? If you do, you are deceived by the lies of Satan. You must believe Christ and 'receive' Christ Himself. Dear friend, you may believe there is salvation in your good works, and you may be laboring hard and striving diligently to maintain your character and integrity. But the law of God (The 10 Commandments) will come and show to you that that which you thought has been good in your life is really evil.
