The Divine Power Source

Now Understand:  Only His Divine Power can give you His Divine Nature. (II Peter 1:3-4)

God is my strength and power: and He maketh my way perfect. Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. Where the word of a king is, there is power. 

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. 

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began. 

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. 

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. 

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death. Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. 

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power. Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. 

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Excuses, Excuses

Here are a few excuses why you are putting off Salvation and rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ; you won't ever hear this down at the church house these days:

* You would rather be right with this world than with God.  

* You would rather please the people of this world, rub elbows with them, and neglect Christ. 

* You seek this world's smile, approval, friendship and head nod, rather than God's smile.

* You think what you are doing with your life is much more important than what Christ wants in your life.

* You put worldly relations, possessions, or ambitions before Christ Jesus and your own soul.
* You would rather offend God than some worldly companion or relative.
* You love the praise of men more than the praise of God.

* You have a deadly appetite and love for your own sins.
* You have a very high opinion of yourself, and you don't think you've really done anything amiss.
* For some insane reason, you think that your own righteousness will in some way help satisfy God's Divine Justice in Eternity.
* You intend to mend yourself in some way and set things right with God by your own efforts.
* You are going to try to do your best, and by some means get by the White Throne Judgment at the last day.  But you haven't done your best on any day of your life, and you will never be able overcome your sinful habits without Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  Give up thinking you can, for as long as you think you are good in any way, you can never be saved from your sins.  Your self-righteousness is in direct opposition to God Himself.
* The real reason you will not come to Christ is that you believe in yourself.  You believe in yourself in some vain way, don't you?  Self-satisfaction and self-esteem are perilous and damnable things.  That which is highly esteemed among men (self-esteem) is abomination in the sight of God.
* You have a strong distaste for confessing and forsaking your sins, and approaching the presence of a holy God through the one Mediator between God and men, the Lord Jesus Christ.
* Darling sins, sinful pleasures, secret sins, private designs, worldly companions, old friend, self-trust, superstition, conceits, delay, opinions, mammon, immorality, indifference, thoughtless and careless, frivolous, superficial religion, giddy, sex perversion, hardness of heart, hatred of God, casinos, bars, esteem of yourself, love for the world
* You will not leave your real master which is Lust.  Loving sin is absolutely fatal.  When sin is loved, Christ is ignored, forgotten, rejected.
* You think you are too good, or too bad, or it too soon to be saved, or too late to be saved.
* You are too busy to think about reality and Eternity.
* You are too smart and proud to humble yourself like a little child before the Lamb of God at the Cross and trust to His Precious Blood shed for the ungodly.
* The Gospel is too humbling, too Holy, too simple, too plain, too hard to understand, too good to be true.  Human nature will dream up any reason in order to put off Jesus Christ and remain in the darkness of sin.
* You are a religious pretender and coming to Christ would expose your hypocrisy.
* You abhor the thought of God's Omnipresent, Omniscient eye watching you at all times.
* It is too hard to spend a single hour alone looking into the world to come, facing death, judgment and Eternity; confronting your sins and wretchedness.  You would rather kill time and keep yourself amused and entertained.  The time you have wasted here on Earth will accuse and condemn you before God.  All will be known at the Day of Judgment; there will be no secrets then.
* What you are here in time, you will be forever in Eternity.
* You are living to make a buck, cheat someone, and make a name for yourself.  You live to exalt your name, not the name which is above every name, the Lord Jesus Christ.
* You are a workaholic, and for some strange reason, you just can't seem to find time to seek mercy from God through the atoning blood of Christ Jesus.
* You prefer your sins to the Savior; you are very fond of your iniquities.  You will huff off or smile off a witness or invitation to come to Christ.
* You use skepticism to try to muffle your guilty conscience, but your conscience is faithful to remind you of your wrongdoing, guilt and lost state.
* You are indulging in some secret sin at the expense of your immortal soul.
* You reject Christ's Deity and despise His Blood Atonement.
* You have good intentions and you plan to carry them out one day soon.
* You have no real love for the God of the Bible.
* You prefer your righteousness over Christ's Righteousness.
* You have some prejudice towards some professing Christian, that has not lived up to his profession.
* You are fearful of considering your sinful past.  You defy your Maker, trample His Son's Blood, and despise His free grace - this is suicide to your soul.
* Your friends, fun, and finances have you distracted.  The devil's decoys have placed you in a deadly situation.
* Procrastination is dangerous and damnable; carnal hesitation, careless lingering in sin, sin lover, self lover, doubter, undecided, double-minded, lascivious pleasures, licentious desires, selfish gains.
* Secret motives, love of money, revelry, self-righteousness, obdurate attitude, religious pride, liquor, intellectual pride, bad company, selfish intentions; the world's friendship, smile and applause.
* No sacrifice is too great or expensive for a man's lust.  Whatever a man throws his money at is his "god".  The lost worldling will do whatever it takes to live a Christ-less life of sinful merriment in rebellion against God.
* Be wise, have mercy on your own soul, let your love for sin go!  Flee to Christ Jesus, God manifest in the flesh, now for His free mercy and forgiveness found only in His Precious Blood.

Blessed Is The Man

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. 

Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law. 

Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord. Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. 

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. 

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

The Unspeakable Gift

A sinner's greatest need is Salvation, Eternal Life, the Forgiveness Sins, Redemption.  It is not Education, Finance or World Peace; Jesus didn't come as an Educator, a Banker or a Diplomat. He came as the Savior to seek and save the soul that is Lost. Americans are going to hell first class. There were only two groups of people on the Titanic, the saved and the lost. Many have a religious zeal, but not according to knowledge. You must SUBMIT to Christ's Righteousness. Salvation is absolutely and totally free. Salvation is not a reward for the righteous; Salvation is a GIFT to the Guilty. Christ died for the ungodly. Are you ignorant of God's Righteousness? Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His Righteousness. Something good that you are doing becomes very bad when it keeps you from the very Best, the Lord Jesus Christ. Self-righteous sinners are egomaniacs strutting off into hell. Beware, You could be making very good time on the wrong road. The worst form of badness is human goodness, if it is keeping you from Salvation. Christ is the End of the Law for righteousness. The Law says Do, but the Gospel says Done. The Law demands perfection from you, but the Gospel gives you Perfection freely. To believe is to rely upon Jesus' blood for the forgiveness of sins, and to cast your guilty soul completely upon Christ. A change of your sinful nature inside what is truly needed. If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. After a woman is married to her husband, she doesn't go back home with her parents after the wedding ceremony, she doesn't go back to her former life. No, she goes and lives with her husband, her lord. The wife doesn't just visit her husband on weekends or religious holidays. No, she lives with him and strives to please him and love him and becomes one with him. She doesn't just call upon her husband just when she is sick or in need, no, she communes with him daily and they enjoy one another. Christ Jesus is rich unto all that call upon in truth. The word of faith is near you, Seek Jesus with all your heart now in sincerity, and you will find Him. For Jesus' sake, Amen.

Strive to Enter

Human nature says Salvation can be custom made by me, one size fits all, just be sincere and it will all work out, for there are many paths to God. All religion is fundamentally the same, one faith is not superior to another, there are many paths that lead to God, I sit in the seat of God, I am sovereign, I will go to heaven on my terms, whatever I believe is so, Jesus is a burr in my saddle, the golden rule is way to live, do your best. 

But the Holy Bible says, Jesus is the only Way; He is the Strait Gate. If Jesus is one of many ways, why did he suffer and die in agony and blood for sinful mankind. The Gospel offends the lost carnal mind and the religionist.  A heart of humility is required at the Cross; you are not getting in because of your family or religious heritage, remember, the wide gate leads to destruction.

The Gospel is a Narrow path, and you will never ride your high horse into heaven, A plane's runway is narrow, the doctor's Prescription is narrow, the speed limit is narrow.  You believe in many absolutes here in time, but not out in Eternity. The Cross is not comfortable and palatable to you. The Gospill is hard to swallow. Jesus said, I am the Door. You can come to Jesus today, poor or rich, peasant or prince, connected or outcast. There is a Single door, only one way, not even two, the Gospel is narrow, exclusive, only one remedy for your sin. 

Who will get in? Will I get in? Am I getting in the strait gate to live with the King forever?

Salvation is on God's terms. Salvation in on God's Timeline, Strive to enter, stay focused, seek Jesus as hid Treasure. The Master will soon shut the door. Then you will begin to knock in desperation, after it is too late. These are very uncomfortable and non-negotiable terms. Hebrews 9:27, II Corinthians 6.2; Now; Hebrews 4:7, hear His voice today, please don't harden your heart. This Offer has a time limit; it will expire. 

There were many fingernail marks on the Ark's door. Noah preached for 120 years, warning of the wrath to come. Don't try to build your own boat, only the Ark will make it through the storm. God shut the door of the Ark, not Noah. The scoffers believed Noah after the rain started pouring and flooding the streets and countryside. Being religious doesn't get you through the Door. You may have eaten and drunk with Christians; You may think you have an inside track, you may have hung out at church, and you were exposed to the Gospel, but you never received the truth of the Gospel. Judas didn't get in Christ; and he never knew Jesus. 

Being familiar with God, doesn't mean you belong to God. Heart was never in it, you were more interested in working evil, wicked living, evil was your occupation, you hope you'd never get caught, you party on Saturday and go to church on Sunday, You would rather have your sins, Your Sunday clothes/costume doesn't fool God. In hell, there is gnashing of teeth (anger, bitter hatred, infuriated with God, for he has held them  accountable, there is weeping (sorrow), and wailing (pain).  There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but then end thereof are the ways of death. You must be truly Related to the Benefactor, a gracious union, to received the Eternal Inheritance of Unsearchable Riches in Christ.

Anyone can accept this Divine Invitation from the Lamb of God (no matter who you are, no matter what you have done) Sincerity is required, not Curiosity; Urgency, not delay and procrastination.

Eternal life is Not in a food, or discipline, or better climate. The water of life, the fountain of youth, is Christ Jesus Himself. The Gospel of Christ is not a dream or illusion, but a divine eternal fact. God is never in jeopardy or in peril, but you are. It takes care, concern and courage to spread the Gospel. The Gospel is not  for the spiritual elite, but for the weak and contrite, the flat broke, homeless, hopeless and desperate.

You can't earn, merit, or deserve the mercies of God found in Christ alone.  You can never be worth eternal life. Priceless eternal life is free, paid for in full with Immanuel's own life's blood. Come and Drink The Water of life freely. There is now access to Eternal Life, please Come and Drink; Jesus is the Water of Life. You must first be made aware of your illness, and be made aware of your terminal state, but if you reject the Remedy, and try to make up my own way, and try to heal myself, you will doom your soul. The Holy Spirit Himself must make you aware of your immediate need, please don't wait, if your hear His voice, harden not your heart, expose yourself to Christ Jesus Himself, open your heart to the Light of Life. 

Are you a different person outside the church walls? Is worldly approval your priority? Turn from your sins, and your sin-loving friends, Choose your sin over the Savior, strive to enter His kingdom, focus on His Blood and Righteousness.  But Human nature says, I enjoy the darkness, me-myself-and I, If I have to give up this sin I love, I don't want heaven.

How many will enter the Kingdom of God? Will one of them be you?
