*Old Glory*

One of the common nicknames of the United States Flag is "Old Glory". William Driver, a U.S. ship captain, first coined the phrase *Old Glory* for the U.S. Flag. The Flag's colors are a great picture of the greatest story ever told – the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The flag is often referred to as the old “Red, White and Blue,” never the “White, Red, and Blue,” or the “Blue, White, and Red.” The Red always comes first, because Blood has to be shed for freedom. Wherever there is Freedom, there always has to be a Substitute.

Many soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen have laid down their lives as substitutes so we could live free in America today. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Freedom is not Free.” The same is true with Salvation from Sin and Death. Someone had to shed their blood for our nation’s freedom. And Someone also had to shed their blood for our spiritual freedom from Sin and Death – His name was Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Great Substitute that laid down His life for all sinners 2,000 years ago. God, your Creator, became a Jewish man; His name was Jesus of Nazareth. God was manifested in flesh and shed His life's blood to take away the sin of the world. Mark this - The three colors of the U.S. Flag represent three things spiritually:

* Red: Blood – The red stripes on the U.S. Flag represent Jesus’ atoning blood. We have all sinned and our sins have brought us into bondage, and Jesus had to die to set us free. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Rom 3:23) Jesus had to die for your sins and mine. For all of our lies, stealing, cursing, dirty thoughts, lust, selfishness, hatred, greed, rebellion, and the like. “The blood of Jesus Christ God’s Son cleanseth us from all sin. (I John 1:9) In whom we have redemption, through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins. (Col 1:14) Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Without shedding of blood is no remission" of sins (Heb 9:22). God Almighty will forgive human sin through faith in the atoning Sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus offered up Himself as a sinless Blood Sacrifice in order to atone for your sins, and satisfy the the divine justice of God on your behalf.

* White: Righteousness - The Lord Jesus Christ’s Righteousness is needed by all to enter Heaven. Our Sins have left a deadly stain on our hearts that separates us from God, a stain that cannot be wiped away by any of our human efforts. You will need perfect righteousness to enter Heaven and get past the judgment of God. Perfect Righteousness (Christ Himself) is what God will be looking for at the White Throne Judgment. Jesus came to Earth and lived a sinless life (pure and white) and worked out a perfect righteousness just for you. Jesus will give His Righteousness as a free gift in exchange for your sins, if you will only humble yourself and submit to Him (Romans 10:3-4). Your self-righteousness (natural goodness, self-effort) is as filthy rags and dung in God’s sight. You can never satisfy God's holiness and justice with your own righteousness, because it is tainted with your sin every day. Ye must be born again (John 3:7).

* Blue: Heaven - The Blue part of the U.S. Flag is called the Union. This is where the Stars are placed. The Blue in our flag is a picture of Heaven. Jesus rose again the third day and is now in Heaven pleading our case before the Father (Hebrews 1:3; 7:24; 10:12). The Only way we can enter Heaven when we die is by simply trusting to the Blood and Righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ. You can only obtain His blood and righteousness by simple faith (trust, reliance, dependence) in what Jesus did for you at the Cross and the grave.

* Stars – The Bible says, that saved sinners (the righteous) will shine as the stars forever and ever (Daniel 12:3). Are you going to heaven when you die? What are you trusting right now to get you to heaven? If you are relying on yourself in any way whatsoever, you won't make it to Heaven. Reject yourself once and for all, and receive Christ now. Remember, only the Blood and Righteousness of Jesus can save your immortal soul from the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:15). Life is short, Death is sure, Sin the curse, Christ the Cure. Please turn to Jesus today: Admit you’re a guilty sinner, acknowledge your inability to help save yourself from sin, be willing to turn from your sins (Repent), and believe and trust the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ to save your soul today. When you come to the Cross, you will need no good works - you don't have any good works, so don’t try to bring any, sinners can't produce any good works (Romans 3:12). Come on to the Cross just as you are. Right now, ask God to wash away your deadly sins in the Precious Blood of Jesus and freely give you His Righteousness. Humbly seek the Lord Jesus Christ's mercy through His Precious Atoning Blood.

Bow Low Now

Be clothed with humility – put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ. Humbly yield yourself, bow low now, worship at Jesus' feet, adore Him, receive His words, yield to His Spirit, trust His Blood, accept His Righteousness. Being brought low can be a painful process. Rebel sinners in their natural state refuse to bow to the King of kings. *I Timothy 6:15*

Humility is thinking and speaking the best of others, and the worst of yourself; it is being content with the lowest place; esteeming others better than yourself; not envying other's graces or gifts; doing works of mercy without pride or boasting; rejoicing in the blessings and happiness of others; being conscious of your own sinfulness, nothingness, weakness, inability, and pride *Galatians 6:3*; patiently bearing shame and contempt without murmuring; not aspiring to things too high for yourself; taking the back seat and caring not to be mentioned; quietly submitting to God's divine will and providence; always acknowledging your unworthiness; ascribing all you are, and have, to the grace and goodness of God. Humility is listening, hearkening, yielding, obeying to the words, will and Spirit of God.

Jesus is meek and lowly in heart, come and learn of Him. Meek means to be free of resentment, envy, retaliation, and bitterness. Lowly means to not have inordinate ambition, not clamoring for position, power, or influence. Jesus came to Earth to be a servant and sacrifice. The only thing Jesus wanted was to do the Father's will. A wise man is soon humbled under a sense of his sin, and his own unworthiness.

Ahab wasn't stomping around in his pride anymore after God warned him through Elijah. The Bible says this about Ahab after he heard God's words, that "he went softly." *I Kings 21:20-29* Ahab walked humbly and cautiously after that. Serve the LORD with all humility of mind. Gentleness, humbleness, submission. Walk humbly with thy God - perceive Christ's greatness and your nothingness. The answer to most of life's problems is Humility and Forgiveness. In every situation, it will either be Humility, Forgiveness, Reconciliation, and Harmony (or) the opposite - Pride, Bitterness, Retaliation, and Division. Be humbly thankful.

Be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. *I Peter 5:5* Prayer is the very essence of humility, for prayer is spiritual begging, and human nature hates to beg God for anything. Humility is the grace that attracts more grace. If you would have much grace, have much humility. Obedience is the best humility, just lay yourself at the feet of Jesus and make your will active only when you now it is God's will. Humility is always safe and healthy. Grow in grace, downward into Humility

Envy, contention and division is opposite of the lowliness, humility and unity. What goes up, must come down, so you better just stay humble. A high look, a proud heart, and the ploughing of the wicked is sin. The haughty shall be humbled. The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth. Walking humbly with God is inward and spiritual, and the essence of true godliness. Human ability without the grace of God is puffed-up inability. Humbly and heartily plead the blood of Jesus.

Simply stay out of the way and let the Holy Spirit do His work. Humility is nothing more than a just estimate of yourself according to the words of God. Remember, acknowledge, recognize, regard, please, worship, respect, thank, adore, and glorify God for His goodness and mercy towards you for Jesus' sake. Keep company with God throughout your day. Thou God seest me. Walking with God must be an active habit, on Monday as well as Sunday, at home and work, as well as at church. Live dependently upon God. Humbly play the part of an ambassador and beseech sinners to come and trust to Jesus.

Jesus said, Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I AM meek and lowly in heart. Humility is Christ-likeness. Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do? Humility is what prevents us from slandering others. Humility is knowing what I am, acknowledging that God made me that way, and giving Him glory for it. What hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? *I Corinthians 4:7* Humbly plea for God's pardoning grace through Jesus' Precious Blood. God be merciful to me a sinner, for Jesus' sake.

And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him. Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD. And when Mannaseh was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

The mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled. With a grateful heart, renounce all self-glory, and magnify the Lord Jesus Christ. The humble heart in trials says, "It is the Lord, let Him do that which seemeth Him good!” but the proud heart says, “God shall do as I like, or else He shall have no obedience from me." This is the good and right way - Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things He hath done for you.

For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. God remembered Abraham. The LORD forgetteth not the cry of the humble. And God remembered Noah. If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The very best way to spend your time is worshipping low at the feet of Jesus Christ. *Psalm 2:11-12* And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. And Zedekiah did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the LORD. Humility is departing from evil and seeking the Lord Jesus Christ.

Bow low now at the feet of Jesus Christ. *Luke 17:16* Walk before God very humbly, ever looking to Jesus' Precious Blood. The highest point of Christian grace is to walk humbly with God. *Genesis 18:27* The more grace a man has the more he feels his deficiency of grace. *Job 42:6* If you are going up in your own esteem, then Christ is going down in your esteem. Make Jesus your daily Friend. The finite walking with the Infinite. A sinner walking with the Thrice-Holy God. Be intensely subservient to the Holy Spirit; yield yourself up to be worked upon by the Spirit of God. Seekest thou great things for thyself? Seek them not.  Don't desire anything great for yourself except the greatest thing of all, that God may be glorified in everything you do.

Be willing to take the back seat - the way to the top is downstairs - think only of the Lord's glory. Lose your dignity - be willing to take the lowest place. Take what God gives you. Do justly (love God), love mercy (love your neighbor), and walk humbly with God. Remember and rejoice in all of God's past mercies. Have tender pity toward the lost. True humility is thinking rightly of yourself. When you find out what you really are by the help of the Holy Ghost, you will be humble, for you are nothing to boast of. To be humble will make you safe, happy, and joyful. You would be most wise to bow low now at the throne of grace.

Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up. Though the LORD be high, yet hath He respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. Surely the LORD scorneth the scorners: but He giveth grace unto the lowly. When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

Pride is the love of self; Humility is the correct estimate of yourself; Just go ahead and admit it - you're nothing but a nothing. Christians always grow downward in humility. Hubris is the opposite of humility. Nothing could be better for a man than for him to walk humbly with his Maker. The Gospel is offensive to human nature, because it requires humility. By humility and the fear of the LORD, are riches, and honor, and life. There is no humility like simple obedience to Christ's call to come to the Cross and leave your sins and self-righteousness behind.

Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility. Weakness, meekness, humility, and lowliness under the mighty hand of the Savior is the key to victory. My most urgent need is the help of the Holy Ghost, and simple faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. Ask God to change your vile nature with the power of the Blood of Christ. The only remedy for your sins is Christ Jesus in your heart. He must increase, but I must decrease. *John 3:30* Be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. *I Peter 5:5* And being found in fashion as a man, Jesus humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross. Rejoice in His Highness. *Isaiah 13:3*

Enter into the Rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of His majesty. The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low.

Take the Straight Road

Pardoning mercy is what every sinner needs from God. Never trust in any human ability, for the way of Salvation lies alone in Christ Jesus. Take the straight road - To go first to Jesus is to save much time and effort. The Gospel is Mercy for the guilty. Simple faith in Jesus in so rare today. The best runner always runs straight. Your best and wisest course is to go straight to Jesus and trust to Him for all your needs. Your spiritual sight has been darkened by your moral evil. You must go to the Lord Jesus Christ Himself for mercy and redemption.

The first act of saving faith is to deal directly and immediately with the person of Jesus Christ. I must trust the Giver first, and then receive the gift. The Giver is greater than what He gives. I must first trust to the Helper, and then I will receive help. Jesus is the Best of the best. Sinners need Christ Himself the most. I must first find the tree, and then I will obtain the fruit. It's always the bulb before the bud, the horse before the cart. Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ is the root of the matter, a change of life and joy in the Lord will come afterwards. My first business is to believe in Jesus Christ for free pardon. I must trust myself with the divine Savior. I must Believe in the Promiser, and then I will believe the promise. You must know a man first before you will trust his word. You must find out who he is, what he is, and what he has done. Trust to the pardoning God, Christ Jesus, and you obtain His pardon.

The first step of true faith is to rely on the Forgiver, and the forgiveness of sins will be obtained instantly. The simple course is to believe in the Savior. Look to His power and sympathy, majesty and mercy, omnipotence and compassion. Believe on the virtue of His precious blood. The only way God saves sinners is through Blood, and not just any blood, it must be sinless, precious, atoning Blood shed by His Son. The Savior first, and then His Salvation. If a guilty, condemned criminal wants a pardon, he must deal directly with the Pardoner. There is no escaping God's divine justice without Christ's Blood.

Seek after mercy, pardon, new nature, purity, heaven through Christ Jesus Himself. Religion is filled with counterfeits and delusions. Begin at the foot of the Cross. Jesus says first, "Come unto Me." *Matthew 11:28* First Jesus, and then His rest, not the other way around. Come straight to Jesus in all your unworthiness, depravity and vileness. Begin with Jesus. Believe in the divine Substitute for sinners. Rely upon Jesus' power to save and sanctify you. Forget yourself, and only think of Jesus. Go straight to the Well for water. You cannot quench your thirst by just hoping for the water, you must go to the Well.

Keep to this line - don't let anyone take you off it - the first object of your faith should be the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Simply hope in Jesus, never look for signs, feelings, or evidences in yourself. Trust only to the glory of His person, the perfection of His obedience, and the merit of His precious blood. The best and straightest road to Christ is by simple childlike faith in His Blood. Take the straight road to God, fix your faith in Jesus' atoning blood. It is your highest wisdom to fall down at Jesus' feet, and let Him give you what your soul needs. We are too ignorant to know what to ask, and our doubts make us afraid to ask. We will do well just to lie still, and let Jesus fix our souls and provide us with what we need. We need to be saved from Hell, but we also need our natures changed so we will no longer love our sins. Human nature is too puzzled and ignorant to ask for the right blessing from Jesus, we need only to seek HIM. When I lay hold upon Jesus, I have obtained everything else in one. Seek first to Jesus. *Matthew 6:33* Seek the Holy Spirit's strength, comfort, guidance, and fruitfulness. Make Jesus the main object of your faith, lay hold upon Him, this is the wisest course to follow. Jesus is the great Promiser, Pardoner, Giver and Forgiver.

You have sinned against God, you are full of evil, and you have lived an unchaste life. Jesus is God and man in one glorious Person. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among sinful men here on Earth for 33 years. He took upon Himself the whole weight of human sin, and bore it in His own body up to the Cross. Jesus was arrested by the divine justice, and treated as if he was Sin itself, even though He had never sinned Himself. He was numbered with the transgressors. He yielded to the wicked men who maliciously scourged Him, spit upon Him, crowned Him with thorns, and falsely condemned him to die. He died for my sins, not any of His own. He was made a Curse for me. He was made to be Sin for me, that I might be made the Righteousness of God in Him. He died the Just for the unjust, that He might bring me to God. God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them. The grace of God in Christ Jesus to the guilty.

Listen to the warning sound of your conscience. You have been taking the path of sin every day.  The Holy Ghost has sounded the warning to you multiple times trying to get your attention, and received no response from you.  Heed God's warning, seek His pardoning and sparing Mercy through the Savior's Atoning Sacrifice. I have plenty of sin, so I need plenty of Forgiveness. Trust to the life, death, and person of the Son of God. Freedom from the bondage and slavery of lusts, evil passions, and moral evil is only found at the Cross. Rely distinctly on the Lord Jesus Christ. Begin with Christ, end with Christ. If your religion puffs you up, it is not Christ's Christianity. God will always help you when you are weak. Always depend upon God's blessing and presence. He will always fill us when we are empty, and feed us when we are hungry. As long as you remain a nothing, Jesus will help you. You have done all you can do when you simply trust to Jesus. I am nothing but sin, but Jesus please have mercy on me.

The Way God Saves Sinners

This is the way God saves sinners like you and me that have broken His Law and rejected His Precious Son all of our life. God saves sinners by letting Christ pay the penalty due to the rebel's sins. I have sinned, I am so guilty and condemned already. *John 3:18* I was standing in God's Courtroom with no defense, but then Mercy came to my rescue and pleaded my case. Christ Jesus stepped in, He put me aside, and stood in my place. When the Judge of all the earth demanded my plea, Christ said for me, "Guilty!" And He took my guilt to be His guilt, and right when the death sentence was going to be carried out on me, Christ said, "Father, punish Me instead of him. This sinner has pled guilty and asked Me for Mercy. I have put my Righteousness on this guilty one, and I have taken His sins upon Me. Father, punish Me, and consider this transgressor to have been Me. Let Him go free for My sake, and let Me suffer His misery and penalty, pour out all Your wrath on Me. Let me endure His curse, let him receive My blessing forever."

Sooner or later, you will stand before your Maker, and give account to Him; for God shall bring every work into Judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. The natural man with a carnal mind is the enemy of God and the child of the devil. The love of sin, wicked pride and self-righteousness will land you in the lake of fire. Salvation is the putting of an Innocent Person in the rebel's place. The rebel must die, for God says he must. But Christ says, "I will be the Substitute for the rebel. The rebel shall take My place, and I will take His." In infinite mercy God consents to Jesus' plea, and the Holy Father says, "Very well, Son, you must stand in the sinner's place, You must suffer what this criminal ought to have suffered, You must be accounted guilty, just as He is accounted guilty, I will look upon this sinner as if he were Christ, I will accept Him as if He were my Son. I will give Him a crown and a home in Heaven forever." This is the way God saves guilty sinners - Free, instantaneous, irreversible Full and free Salvation is through simple faith in the Precious Blood of the Crucified Creator. That's all there is to it.

The way of salvation is by Jesus Christ Crucified. *I Corinthians 1:18,23,28* The whole plan of redemption is by the blood and righteousness of the Crucified Creator. The whole glorious finished work of Christ is for us sinners. The love of God in giving His Son for His enemies. *Romans 5:10* The love of Christ in giving Himself for me. *Ephesians 5:2* The incarnation of the Son of God, His Substitution, one for all, His atoning sufferings and bloody death. The whole work of Christ is contained in one small word - the CROSS. "It is finished!" was Jesus' cry when He died. The work of His obedience, sufferings, redemption - His whole finished work is called in the Scriptures - "the Cross of Christ". The two main things that keeps any sinner from coming to Christ is a love for his sins *John 3:19*, or his self-righteousness *Romans 10:3*, and sometimes both.

Jesus was wounded for my transgressions; He bore my sins in His body on the tree. For my guilt, He gave me Pardon. As my Atonement, He bled and died, that the Law and divine justice could be satisfied, all my sins were laid on Him. Gone are my transgressions forever, all because Jesus was wounded for me.

Every man by nature seeks his own salvation by trying to make himself better in the sight of God. He tries to patch us his own life, he tries to clean up his act, his speech, his thoughts, all to make himself better in the sight of God. And sometimes he even goes further, he tries to cover up his past sins by religious activity, he becomes a religious moralist, he may even become deeply occupied in a religion, all to try and make himself appear good in the eye of God, so that he lay God under debt to pardon and love him. It is the hardest thing in the world for a man to forsake his own righteousness and let go of his sinful pleasures.

You must give up the old man's way of salvation. You can never please God by your own deeds, for you are a sinner. Stop looking inwardly for righteousness, look out of yourself to Christ alone and receive His Righteousness. Stop looking to your convictions, at your own attainments, stop struggling and start trusting. Look to the work of Jesus Christ, and rely on the saving work of the Holy Spirit. The bed of your own efforts is shorter than you can stretch yourself upon, and the covering of your own righteousness is narrower than you can wrap yourself in. Give up your own doings forever. Your heart is desperately wicked and deceitful above all things. Your own righteousness is vile and polluted in God's sight. Count your works as all loss, they are only filthy rags and dung. Every man in his best state is altogether vanity. God is a God of inflexible justice, truth, and holiness, but He delights in mercy, and is ready to forgive for Jesus' sake. Trust the "righteousness of God;" the Righteousness which is by faith in Jesus' Precious Blood. The Righteousness of Christ, without your works, is most needful.

The natural man is at war with his Creator. Divine justice pursues his every step. The sinner attempts to bully his own conscience and refuses to heed its warnings. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. There is no getting away from that doom, a life must be taken for the sin you've committed, the wages of sin is death. You are a rebel against God's divine authority. God's justice must award you eternal destruction for you have sinned against Him all your life. Remember that the Law of God is spiritual and reveals your sinfulness by dealing with your thoughts, desires, imaginations, with your inward nature itself. We all must cry - Guilty in every way, Guilty every day. You may have been outwardly moral in man's eyes and commendable at times, but the heart, the thoughts, the intents are what the LORD looks at. You have come way short of the demands of God's righteous Law. You can't come to God on your own terms. You cannot please God, your own efforts cannot help save you. Christ needs absolutely nothing from you to supplement His Precious Blood.

The Lord Jesus Christ has fully paid the penalty due to sin. He completely satisfied the claims of divine justice by His Blood Atonement. All that the Law would possibly demand was satisfied by Jesus' suffering. Christ Jesus is my Substitute and Sacrifice. He came into the world and offered Himself to vindicate the injured Law of God on my behalf. My standing is only in Christ. The blood Sacrifice of God's Son satisfied all claims of divine justice. All the requirements and demands of Justice have been met. The Judge of all the earth executed His justice upon the Lamb of God on Calvary's Cross. This is the only hope for lost men - that the justice of God has been vindicated by the bloody death of the Lord Jesus Christ. Believe into Christ.

By faith in Jesus Himself, men are delivered from the curse of the Law, because Jesus was made a Curse for them. God Himself condescended to earth in the person of Jesus of Nazareth to suffer in the place of His enemies. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain. Now understand the claims and demands of divine justice, and the heinousness of disobedience. His atoning Sacrifice provided infinite Satisfaction on my behalf. Tell of the Cross, the wounds, the stripes, the blood, a Crucified Savior, the Substitute was condemned at the bar of justice for me. Behold Jesus for yourself by Faith in His Precious Blood. God laid my sins on Jesus and poured out His full vengeance on the Lamb of God's head. Christ endured the wrath of God and paid my Ransom with His life and blood. If you reject Christ, you do it at your peril. Jesus Christ my Substitute has bore my guilt, curse and punishment of my sin.

Salvation from sin is free to me, but very costly to God. God still saves unworthy sinners: only bad people go to Heaven. Most men are kept from Christ by their own supposed goodness. Bible salvation is all of Grace, all by Christ, all of Faith, all of God. Jesus was made a Curse for us. The penal consequences of my sins were visited upon the great Substitute and He vindicated the Law of God for me. Regeneration - this is the act of God where He implants His divine nature into the soul of a lost man when he repents and trusts to Christ's Righteousness alone. Only the Holy Ghost can teach you that you're lost and make you conscious of your sin, guilt, inability and danger. God has counted my sins to Christ's account, and He has counted Christ's Righteousness to my account - this is the divine miracle called Imputation. Look away to what Christ has accomplished for His enemies - trust in the work of His atoning bloody death. This is the miracle of Salvation - Christ's Righteousness is laid on my soul and my sins are laid to Jesus - this is the great exchange that occurs when a man believes on Jesus. *I Peter 2:24* *Isaiah 53:12* *John 1:27*

The Supreme Judge of the universe Himself bore the guilt and curse instead of the culprit, and thus vindicated the injured law of God. Jesus' sinless life and bloody death was the perfection of obedience and the satisfaction of God's righteous law. Sin must be punished, so Jesus came to honor the broken Law, and then He died to atone for lawbreakers. Jesus was absolutely innocent, and He voluntarily submitted Himself as the Substitute for sinful men, to suffer so that God could righteously and justly forgive them. God's mercies should mould our thoughts and make us grateful. Jesus met all the holy demands of the Law, and with His blood made amends for man's offenses. If you will not turn, you must burn. Your hubris will land you in Hell. Unworthy, insignificant, useless sinners come to Jesus for mercy and charity. The guilty need and seek Mercy, and only they. Christ Jesus came into awful contact with the infinite justice of God for my sake. The grace of God gave Jesus Christ to die in my place and bear for me that which was due to the justice of God on account of my sins. Human endeavors and merits will not suffice before the White Throne Judgment.

Never trust your good temper, charities, patriotism, community service, courage, honesty to satisfy the claims of God's divine justice. The only thing that can save a guilty man from divine justice is Christ's Blood Atonement. I owe much to God's love, but I owe nothing to His justice. The finished work of Jesus Christ is my only passport to the skies, the better country, New Jerusalem. Go to the Cross, and see divine justice vindicated in the suffering and bloody death of the Lord Jesus Christ, and rest in the mercy of God which comes freely to guilty men. God is everywhere, and His divine justice finds out His enemies. The justice and wrath of God is only appeased by the bloody death of Jesus Christ. The Eternal hand of divine justice has signed your death warrant, you are condemned already. *John 3:18* If God gave up Jesus to His divine justice, what do think He will do with you, if reject the Lord Jesus Christ? The Lord Jesus Christ by Himself has so vindicated divine justice that no punishment is required from me forever. Jesus has suffered for me, and now I go free. Let Jesus be magnified.

Just Bragging about Jesus

The worldling hates it when you brag about JESUS, and boast in His Precious Blood. If you don't think so, just start bragging about Him at work tomorrow morning, and they will probably call security and have you escorted off the premises. Glorying in Christ Jesus alone gets on the religious man's nerves, for that leaves him and his religiousness out of the picture. The very name of JESUS is offensive and detestable to atheistic sin-loving ears. The very men who hate JESUS will use His worthy name all day long as a curse word. *James 2:7* God's enemies take His name in vain. *Psalm 139:20* God has highly exalted Jesus, and given Him a name which is above every name. *Philippians 2:9* Raving about Jesus nauseates men that love darkness and evil deeds. *John 3:19* Jesus said, If I be lifted up, I draw all men unto Me. When you lift up God Incarnate who was Crucified, Risen from the Dead, and Coming Again, that message will definitely irk and irritate the religionist.

Men are always bragging and boasting about something: men brag on themselves, their sports teams, their children, their parents, their political party, their possessions, their talents, their accomplishments, their occupations, their education. This is pure idolatry. The natural man will brag and boast about anything or anyone, but Christ Jesus, the Crucified Creator. But my soul shall boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. In Christ Jesus I will boast all the day long, and praise His name forever. I will declare what Jesus has done for my soul. *Psalm 66:16* I will extol Him with my tongue. *Psalm 66:17* *Daniel 4:37*

Dear sinner friend, you have broken God's divine law, and you have acted very vilely towards your Creator all through your life; in private and in public; in thought, word, and deed. You have violated divine justice, and sinned against Heaven and God Himself. You are only one big mass of sin in God's sight. You have an appointment with the Almighty, and you won't be late. *Hebrews 9:27* *Romans 14:12* Against God your sin has been committed, against the Majesty of the universe, and in order to wipe away your violations of divine justice, it was absolutely necessary that the penalty should be exacted and the sinful one should die forever. So the God who was offended took the place of the offender in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, and died to pay the debt due to His own justice. God must punish you for sinning, He cannot lay aside His justice, but God in Mercy devised a way in which, without any injury to His Holiness, He can have mercy on your guilty soul, because Jesus bore your sins in His own body, and suffered the punishment due to your sins on your behalf.

God is ready and willing to forgive your sins right now. God's only command is, Believe on His Precious Son. Trust Jesus now. Accept Him as making perfect Atonement for your sins by His Substitution. Sin was transferred from the guilty to the Innocent. Jesus Christ has paid all our debts, there is nothing due to punitive divine justice any more forever. Trust in Jesus as having suffered in your place, look to Him for the Payment of your sin debt due from you to the wrath of God. Surrender your lost soul to the Savior, submit to and receive His perfect Righteousness which will cover your soul and make you accepted before God. *Romans 10:3*

The sword of divine vengeance hangs by a thread over the head of every unsaved soul, but blinded sinners ignore God, laugh and mock as if there is no God, no wrath to come, and no appearing before the White Throne Judgment. Divine justice is closing in on them, they are exposed to God's wrath every moment. Only the Holy Spirit can bring a man to understand his danger and guilt, and then to shame, humiliation, repentance, self-abhorrence, and a holy vengeance against his sins. At Calvary, the bleeding love of the Lamb of God made recompense to divine justice. My sins brought down divine vengeance upon the Savior. The uttermost penalty for my sins was exacted upon Jesus.

Jesus received the vengeance due to my rebellion against the majesty and goodness of God. Through the Substitute, God has received the full payment of God's holy demands. God has not spared the guilty, for He laid my guilt on Christ and did not spare Him. Now I am absolved and forgiven for Jesus' sake. The full vengeance of God passed upon the Lamb of God, and therefore it passes over me. Appeal only to God's mercy, not His justice. The Holy Spirit must help the sinner to perceive his deadly guilt and the threatening divine justice of God. Men know there is something coming after death, and that is troubling to them; they dread death, the coming judgment day, and the sentence of divine justice on their sins.

Jesus was the Priest, the Sacrifice, the Altar, and the Victim. On Calvary's tree He offered Himself as the Substitute for human guilt; there He bore the crushing weight of JEHOVAH'S wrath in His own body, on my behalf. On Jesus my sins were laid, He was numbered with the transgressors. Divine Justice fell upon the innocent Victim; Christ has made an accepted Atonement for all my sins. God sent Jesus into the world to save sinners, He became my Substitute to divine justice, I trust Him, He is my Substitute, I am clear before God. I can never be punished for my sins before the bar of Divine Justice. Christ Jesus has already been punished for my sins, my sins are gone. And now since Jesus died for me, God's divine justice cannot put me to eternal death. Jesus paid the debt fully on my behalf. Jesus is real good to guilty sinners.

Religion is like spraying perfume on the rotting corpse of human nature. Religion can never take away a man's sin and guilt. Jesus bore the blows of divine justice for me, and suffered unspeakable agony. Jesus' precious atoning blood perfectly appeases God's wrath and my troubled conscience. By the divine justice of God I was condemned to die forever. My Creator whom I have grievously offended with my sins became a Jewish man, and for my sake He suffered what I ought to have suffered and satisfied divine justice. God punished the Substitute, Jesus endured all of God's wrath for me.

This is the divine plan of Reconciliation - this is how sinners are saved from divine justice - All men are lost and condemned. All men lay under the condemnation and curse of the Law. Jesus came into the world, God in human flesh, He took upon Himself our nature, here He lived for 33 years in poverty, obscurity, sorrow, and persecution. In His bloody death, He bore the burden of my sins. God laid on Jesus my iniquities, and on the Cross Jesus suffered what I ought to have suffered. What God's divine justice must inflict upon sinful men, God inflicted upon Christ Jesus. Now whosoever will come and hide himself in the blood and wounds of Jesus by Faith shall be safe from divine vengeance and recompense. He that believeth in Jesus is not condemned. Come unto Me, Look unto Me, Call upon Me, is the voice that calls from the Cross of Calvary.

Reconciliation by the Precious Blood, by the Substitutionary Atoning Sacrifice of the Son of God is the message of Reconciliation. O sinner, there is free forgiveness through childlike faith in the blood of Jesus. There is mercy, grace, pardon, Heaven, eternal life, for all who will simply believe in Jesus, the great Substitute for human sin. There is no other way of Reconciliation to God under heaven. God manifested His divine Love as well as His divine justice when He gave His Son to die for His enemies on the Cross. Bloody sweat, crown of thorns, spitting, slapping, scourging, bleeding, and suffering. Five bleeding wounds He received on Calvary, His blood for my sins did atone. A man will not look to Jesus until the Holy Ghost makes him uneasy and he becomes troubled about his sins. Trust to Jesus' Atoning Blood now, and be saved from God's divine justice, and then begin boasting in the Lord Jesus Christ alone.

For Jesus' Sake

No one ever had to teach you how to lie or steal; you're a liar and a thief by nature, for you're a sinner. Many folks work hard trying to get out of work, but they still want a full paycheck, this breach of confidence is called Fraud. Tricking your employer out of their money on payday is Fraud. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbor. Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

What you long for when you get up in the morning, throughout the day, and in the evening, is what you really are. The child of God seeks after Christ, His purity and truth and Spirit. By the Spirit of God, seek to purify your private life and work ethic. Old sinful habits are hard to break off and give up. The religious worldling knows facts about Jesus or God in his head, but he has never from the heart believed on, yielded to, or received Christ Jesus Himself. God's acceptance of Christ is my acceptance with God. Salvation through faith in the sin-forgiving Precious Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is most needful. I fully deserve to rejected by God, but now only for Jesus' sake am I accepted by God.

Stoop to be saved by Jesus' merits and blood. You must turn away from your enmity to Christ and His Gospel. You can't find something good about yourself; you can't prepare yourself to come to Jesus, or clean yourself up. You are a sinner who must be saved by the mercy and grace of God, for Jesus' sake. Hubris and delusions leads a man to reject Christ and wind up in the Lake of Fire. Be wise - Believingly yield yourself up to Jesus completely, unreservedly, for He is God manifest in the flesh who died to pay for your sins, trusting-worshipping-loving-obeying Him. Give up trying to please God by your own efforts; give up your works and ways, both good and bad. Make your confession of your sins before God very frankly, sincerely, and explicitly. There is nothing that you can hide from God - He sees and knows everything about you, from your childhood up to this very moment. He already knows your guilt, but He wants you to know it. God bids you to come and confess your sins and your need of His dear Son. Acknowledge your sins before God: get rid of all your excuses and alibis.

To depend entirely upon the sinner's Savior is the sinner's salvation. God only accepts unworthy sinners into His family for Jesus' sake, only because of what Jesus did for sinners. The needy, guilty soul seeks the Savior. If you sense your sinfulness, believe in Jesus, that is, trust in the Substitution and bloody Sacrifice of Christ Jesus. Simple faith in Christ's Finished Work alone. Christ Jesus is Perfect, He will only give you His Righteousness freely now, without works. You gain acceptance before God because of Christ alone, for Jesus' sake. Cast your weary, heavy laden soul upon the infinite merit and Atoning Blood of the Great Substitute. Trust Him to take your sins and blot them out forever; trust Christ entirely, and you are forgiven this very moment; you are saved this very instant, and being justified by faith you'll have peace with God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Earthly religions prey on the superstitious and self-righteous nature of men. But my only hope of Heaven is in the Atoning Blood of Jesus Christ the LORD.

Saving Faith 3

There is no good thing in you, just face it. A real sinner conscious of his guilt will seek and trust the Savior. If you are conscious of your total ruined state because of your sinning, believe in the divine Remedy for your sins - place real faith in the Blood of Jesus. Childlike reliance upon the Most High, the faithful Creator - JESUS. Trust, lean on, and enjoy Christ Jesus. Coming is trusting. *Matthew 11:28* The Savior's Precious Blood has made my peace with God. Trust your soul with Jesus, and He will save it here and now. Place all your confidence in the Crucified Creator. A look to Christ Crucified will immediately save your soul. Judgment day is coming, flee from the wrath to come at Calvary. Guilty sinners are liable for the punishment due to their sins and stand bare before a holy God. *Revelation 20:10-15*

There is one God, one Savior, one sinful mankind, and one Judgment. Life's most absolute certainty is death. You must face the holy Judge. Just who do you think you are? You're just a sinner like all the rest of us. Jesus wasn't a sinner, He was absolutely sinless. I really need the Gospel, for I am a guilty sinner. Human nature always makes excuses for sin. The omniscient Judge of all the earth - He knows all the facts, motives, and secrets. The omnipotent, omnipresent Judge - He sees everything. Repentance is a renewing of the mind by the Holy Spirit, a turning of the mind towards God. Repentance is a sense of sin, a turning from sin, an abhorrence of sin. Repentance is the gift of Jesus, the beginning of new life. Receive Christ into yourself. *John 1:12* I am a sinner in desperate need of the mercy and grace of God. A pardon which is refused is no longer a pardon. Sin is a hideous evil, and you are actually and personally guilty of it. Jesus is alive forever more, He will save whosoever trusts to His Blood.

You're not a god, but you will stand before God and give account to Him. Remember there is a God, and you're not Him. The personal Creator God is holy and just, yet merciful and gracious to sinners. You are accountable to God for how you have lived and wasted your life in sinning. You are accountable to the Creator God who made you and died for you. Every darwinist is in a hopeless muddle because he loves his sins. From the heart, in the sincerity of your soul, acknowledge your meanness and unworthiness, vileness, sinfulness, wretchedness, and then implore the grace and mercy of God through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Let's rehearse the Gospel again - You have broken God's law, and rejected God's Son, and you are lost in your sins, and under the sin, the law, the wrath of God. The only way you can obtain the forgiveness of all your sins is through the Blood and merits of Jesus Christ, and He will freely forgive you if you simply come and confess your sins, and take Him to be your all in all. If you trust Jesus, He must save you. Jesus died to make Atonement for human sin.

True conversion, sincere repentance, saving faith, new birth, living hope, real sanctification. Childlike faith, hearty holiness, simple confidence, childlike trust to Jesus. Trust your life and soul into the hands of Jesus Christ. Obey the Bible freely, heartily, constantly. Jesus will receive you graciously and love you freely. The prayer of faith with sincere obedience behind it. Preach Christ Crucified - His Deity, manhood, sacrificial bloody death, resurrection, everything about Him.

The words of this life - Acts 5:20. Atonement, Precious Blood, Propitiation - the satisfaction made by Christ for human sin. Real Substitution - The Just for the unjust; Christ died for the ungodly. Resurrection - Him hath God raised from the dead. Regeneration - Ye must be born again - the New Birth. Faith in Jesus Himself is needful. *Ephesians 2:8-9* Justification by Faith, Indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Ghost comes into the heart, He abides there, He works sanctification within, He produces holiness without. The gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord. God's Salvation is by free grace, and free grace alone. You must be quickened by the working of the Holy Spirit. The free forgiveness of sins is completely by the Blood. Witness for Jesus every opportunity you get. Practical obedience in your daily activities. Be reasonable, practical, and sensible in your Christian walk.

Come to God by Jesus Christ now, plead the Precious Blood of His Atonement. Jesus made full Atonement for human sin, and now whosoever believeth in Him hath Everlasting Life, and shall never come into condemnation. The old, old story of Jesus and His love is a very simple story. Keep to the old Gospel - plain old Christianity where Jesus is everything, and where every man is a sinner in need of the Savior. Stick to this. Keep to this work. Never lose faith in the Gospel. The world's philosophies and quackeries can't take away sin. Christ Crucified is the only remedy for sin. Whosoever believeth in Jesus hath everlasting life. *Acts 4:12* Christ's Precious Blood cleanses from all sin. *I John 1:7*

Come to Jesus now by holy trust and feed on His Blood, Righteousness and Atonement. The only way of salvation is by Blood, Innocent Blood, Precious Blood, Atoning Blood, God's Blood. *Acts 20:28* Faith is coming to Christ and simply believe on His Atonement. The essence of Faith is casting yourself on God's promise. Make His Atonement your trust, refuge, and hope. Boundless love, immeasurable goodness, infinite mercy. Atonement is the unaided work of Jesus. Worship God through the Mediator placing faith in the Atonement of the Cross. Humble prayer, hearty praise. Meekly cast yourself on the mercy of God, look for acceptance only through the Atonement of the Lamb of God.

The Blood of Christ is the only salvation from sin, the only means of pardon from our guilt. The Holy Spirit is the only Regenerator, the only converting power comes from the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Christ. Faith in Christ's finished work is the only way of salvation. If you know your guilt, flee to Christ. He is the only hope for sinners. Put your entire trust in the bloody sacrifice which He offered for sinners. Cast yourself entirely on the sinless sacrifice by Blood. You are condemned already, you can never be saved by your own works, you are utterly condemned by your own sins. Sincerely repent, hate your sins, and love the Savior. For Atonement, come to Christ, find mercy only through His Atonement. The Atonement is all finished, the price and ransom is paid, the Sacrifice is accepted. Do not try to add your own righteousness to the finished Atonement of Jesus Christ.

My faith is fixed on His perfect Righteousness and complete Atonement. The only Gospel is looking to Christ. True faith lays hold on the precious Atonement of Christ. None but Jesus can save your sinful soul. Trust in Him, not yourself. Repose in His Atonement, confide is His finished work, hide in the Atoning Blood. Strive to live a clean life in the power of the Spirit of God resting on the Atonement of Christ. Reconciliation by the Precious Blood. The Gospel of Atonement is very simple.

Substitution of Christ in the place of the sinner, Christ being treated as if He were the sinner, and then the transgressor being treated as is he were the Righteous one. Substitution is a change of persons. Christ becomes sin, He stands in the sinner's place and is numbered with the transgressors. Christ had no sin of His own, but He took my sins and guilt upon Himself, and was punished for my human folly. I have no righteousness of my own, so I take His divine Righteousness. I am rewarded for His goodness, and stand accepted before God through Christ's Righteousness that was worked out by Himself.

There is an Atonement made for human sin - tell out the story to every one you can. I trust in Jesus alone to save me. Salvation needs a sinner, the Precious Blood needs a filthy wretch, the Atonement needs a guilty rebel. Acknowledge you can do nothing without Christ. Submit to God's providence. Own your dependence on His grace, ascribing all you have and are to God's mercy in Christ. Go straight to Jesus for everything you need. Your highest wisdom is to call upon Jesus' name. Choose your words with wisdom, for your words have no eraser. *Matthew 12:36* *Proverbs 15:2* Take aim at purity of heart, and then peace of mind will come. Lord Jesus, help me to hate my sins more and more, and to love You more and more.

Saving Faith 2

Time is short, life is fleeting, death is hastening on, Eternity is near. You have sinned, you must repent of sinning, and turn from your sins. You cannot be saved unless you personally receive Jesus Christ into your inward parts - heart, soul, mind, spirit. You must undergo a radical change in your mind about everything when it comes to Biblical Truth. You think little of sin and Christ, but you must loathe sin and forsake it. You must turn to God, think of God, trust, love, long for, live for, delight in, adore Him. Do works meets for repentance. Make restitution to those you have wronged, reconcile with those you have offended, acknowledge if you've spoken falsely, give up evil habits, earnestly endeavor to be pure and holy. Strive against sin, deny self, read and heed God's words, live wholly for Christ, ask the Lord to change your whole life, every thought, word and deed.

By nature, no man hates his sins, and truly wants to love God. The Holy Ghost first comes in His power and remind you of your sins, and to think much of the Savior of sinners. The horrible enormity of your iniquity was laid on Jesus at the Cross. The Holy Spirit comes to make sin appear sin, and cause you to see sin's dreadful consequences. He convinces you of sin, the source of your sin, the depravity of your inward nature. The Holy Spirit blows and the beauty and excellence of human righteousness withers away. This is the withering work of the Holy Spirit which is most needful. Men must first be pulled down, emptied, humbled, and convinced of sin and guilt. A real sinner who mourns in his inmost soul; this man will welcome the Gospel, grace, and The Savior. Repentance, self-despair, and faith in Jesus is the work of the Holy Ghost. The Gospel has a blunt diagnosis for sinners; your sin and self-righteousness have to be dealt with severely and invasively by the Great Physician with the scalpel of the words of God.

The Holy Ghost first brings us to despair over our sins, and then He leads us to delight in the Savior. Evil thoughts, impure desires, unclean imaginations, proud intentions flit across the mind all the time. The desire to commit evil can only be kept in check by the Holy Spirit. We are by nature sinful. Our pride kicks against this fact. Every sin is an attack against God's person, throne, and glory. Sin would destroy God if it could. Sin is heinous and horrifying. Look to Jesus to apply the heavenly balm and take away your sins. See the sin of unbelief, it is much worse than theft, lying, or lust. To reject Christ is the damning sin, because you make God a liar and you reject His mercy. Perceive the greatness of your crimes against your Maker, your high offenses against the bleeding Lamb. All that real saving faith can build upon is what God has said in the Holy Bible. The only solid foothold that faith has is, "It is written, God hath said it." When a sinner comes to God, he has nothing else to rely upon except this, "Do as Thou has said."

The Holy Spirit must also show men they have no righteousness of their own, and that they have no means of working a righteousness that is pleasing to God, and that apart from the grace of God you are condemned already. Only the righteousness of God, Jesus Christ Himself, justifies sinners, and renders them acceptable to God. The Lord mass us righteous on the spot, but putting away our sins, and justifying us by the Righteousness of faith, a perfect Righteousness which comes to us by the worthiness of Another who attained this Righteousness for us. Christ's Righteousness is set to our account. All of your doing is in vain. This is the glory of God, that He justifies the ungodly and saves sinners by the finished work of Christ. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity. The light of God's Holy Spirit, and the Savior's Atonement is Salvation. The nature of God, right and wrong, the sinfulness of man, the need of Atonement, the rewards of the righteous, the penalties of the wicked - these truths needs to be declared today. *John 1:27*

The grand old story of the Incarnate God who loved His enemies, and gave Himself to die in their place, that they might live through Him. God is perfectly satisfied with the Lord Jesus Christ, and if you are satisfied with Him, then God is satisfied with you. God is satisfied only with Christ, trust Christ's Atoning Blood, and God will be satisfied with you. Accept the Atonement made by Christ, and the Righteousness prepared by the Savior. Every truly wise man will say, "A Savior is what I need and a great One, an Atonement for all my sins is the one thing needful to me; a full Atonement, divine mercy, and everlasting love." Faith is a conscious dependence on Christ's strength. Lie down humbly at Christ's feet, conscious of your sin, mourning over it, resting on Christ's Grace and Blood for everything. *John 3:16*

The hourglass is almost out of sand - life is short, death is sure, sin the Curse, Christ the Cure. You need the Atonement through the Son of God who laid down His life for sinners. You must be rescued by the Righteousness and Atonement of Another. God has provided an Atonement, I accept it, I rest on Him. The religion of human nature is Do, but the true religion is all Done. You can never live well enough to satisfy God. Jesus will supply you with His Atonement, Righteousness, and Everlasting Life. My case is perfectly met by the Savior's Atonement. The Lord Jesus Christ rendered unto the divine justice of God an absolutely satisfactory Atonement by His sinless suffering and bloody death for guilty sinners. Rejoicing only in the Savior's full Atonement; this is only true source of Joy.

When all of your merit is found in the person of Jesus Christ, God will accept you, only then. God's way of salvation is not by works, but by simply trusting in the Son of God and the full Atonement for sin He offers so freely. Justification by Faith, divine Substitution, Atonement made by Precious Blood. The blessed way of Salvation by atoning blood. I accept Jesus, and rejoice in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Cast your whole weight of sin upon His Atonement. Hang on Jesus as a cup hangs on a nail, and seek no other support. Glory in the Cross. God was made flesh, and He offered perfect Atonement for human guilt. Literal incarnation, actual Substitution, definite Atonement, certain Forgiveness, and present Salvation is what every sinner needs. Sin cannot be in two places at once, I believe on Jesus Christ as my Sin-Bearer, my sins are put away forever by His Atonement. Jesus' Atonement is the sinner's rest. Repose your soul now upon His Great Atonement and Finished Work.

Saving Faith 1

Faith is a self-forgetting thing. God manifest in the flesh died for human sin, and your only safety lies in faith in His Blood. Rotten in heart, unjust in business, untrue in life, that's what you are sinner. The man who delights in iniquity knows not Christ. Real faith in Jesus Christ is your greatest need. Jesus died for the guilt of men; I trust Him to save me. Every grace comes from faith in Jesus Christ. Sin brings disease, beggary, death and damnation. Christ brings healing, life, and wealth to your soul. Faith means trusting in Jesus Christ alone. Accept God's testimony in the Scriptures, and then trust Jesus with your soul - that is the whole of it. Simply and wholly hang upon the bare arm of God and trust to the merits of His Son. *John 9:39-41* *Matthew 11:25-27*

Childlike confidence in Jesus Christ. Trust God with your domestic cares, bodily pains, and daily trials; truly honor God in your daily life. Joy in God through Christ's Atonement. Trust God now to save your guilty soul by the atoning blood of Jesus, and all of your sins will be put away forever. You cannot be saved by works. Nothing you can do can ever deserve divine Mercy; salvation must be the Free Gift of God. *Galatians 2:16*

God will only give pardon to a sinner and peace to a troubled heart only on certain lines. Faith is the first thing - Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He is risen from the dead. Trust yourself heartily, wholly, once for all with Jesus Christ. He that believeth in Jesus that Everlasting Life. Unfeignedly repent of sin. Your mind must be totally changed about your sins. A hearty loathing, a giving up, and a forsaking of sin - that is Repentance. You and your sins must part. Please do right for Jesus' sake. Strive to give up every sin, turn from every false way. *Romans 3:25*

Faith in Jesus' blood. Christ Jesus is the sinner's only hope. Only trust Him and enjoy everlasting life. Guilty worthless sinners at the gates of hell, you have nothing to recommend you. You have no good works, simply trust the merits of Christ, and claim and accept the Atonement made by His bloody death and your soul shall be saved, your sins forgiven, your inward nature changed. Where there is physical life there is a heart beat and breath, where there is Faith in Jesus, there is witness and prayer. The main thing is to get simple faith in Christ alone. Pardon bought with God's blood, Atonement finished once for all. Hearty and practical obedience to God's will. Hearty Christian love for saints and sinners. Warm, hearty, intense supplication. Seek to have the imputed Righteousness of Christ by all means, but also seek to exhibit the infused righteousness which brings practical daily sanctification. Strength in helplessness, joy in submission, rest in resignation to His will, full surrender to God's way. Charitably caring for the helpless, and holy walking in public and private. *Philippians 3:9*

Patient under affliction, resigned to the will of the Lord, and ready to depart and be with Christ. The true meaning of Faith is confidence in, and reliance upon Jesus. Trust in the one glorious Person who alone can redeem sinners. Reliance upon the Crucified Savior is the way of salvation. Saving Faith is the gift of God. Draw near to God alone in private. When no eye sees, when no ear hears, seek the Lord. Delight to pray and praise. The neglect of private prayer will devour the strength of the Christian. Private fidelity and purity is vital. A ton of human wisdom is not worth an once of Scripture. Private prayer, thanksgiving, and praise in Jesus' name. Secret adoration of the Lord. The carnal mind longs to indulge privately in evil habits. Cast your guilty soul upon the eternal merit and the finished work of the Great Substitute. *Colossians 2:12*

Human nature wants to save itself. Just give up, and let Christ save you. Trust entirely to Him. Believe simply, rely implicitly, confide cheerfully. Lie back upon Christ - give up entirely to Him. Bring no good works, no efforts, no merits to Jesus by way of recommendation. Faith in the crucified Savior is the way to Heaven. Have done with your self-righteous doings. Come to Jesus by trusting Him. Have done with seeking to save yourself, and accept Jesus alone as your Redeemer. Faith believes what God has revealed in His words concerning Christ Jesus, and trusts in Christ as the divinely appointed Savior. Jesus is God's Son, God sent Him into the world to save sinners, He became the Substitute to divine justice for all sinners. I am clear before God all because of what Jesus has done for me. *Romans 3:22*

Believing in Jesus, trusting in His blood, that is the whole matter. Saving faith accepts the truth of God, and fixes itself on the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Reliance upon Jesus Himself. Slow down, think much of Jesus. True repentance, real faith, holy consecration, purity of life, chastity of love. Put your faith in Jesus, not in yourself. The only way to get a hold of Christ is Faith. Put now trust in Christ's Blood. *Galatians 3:26* Personal appropriation of the Savior by simple faith in His Precious Blood. Faith is to believe that Christ died for me and trusting His substitutionary death to save you from your sins. Faith is simply believing what God says and promises. Practical reliance upon the precious promises of God Almighty. Thus saith the Lord is the only warrant of Faith. Whosoever trusts to Christ is saved. Lean right on Christ with all your weight, lean hard, have no other confidence. Throw yourself on Jesus alone to hold you up. Rest both feet on Christ alone, that is Saving Faith. *Ephesians 2:8-9*

Rest Assured 4

God is a God of inflexible justice, you have great sins, not just little faults. God must punish all sin. Even a man demands justice and punishment for offenses against him, and so does the living God. A few good works of your own will not pacify God's wrath. Your human merit can never reverse the sentence of God's wrath on sin. The way of salvation is the great plan of satisfying God's divine justice. There is only one way of salvation - Acts 4:12. There are a thousand different inventions of human nature that lead a man to try and save himself. Human nature says, "All people who follow out their sincere religious convictions will undoubtedly be saved. If you obey and sincerely believe in your faith, you will be safe at the last." But there is no true salvation outside of Jesus Christ. The only Person in the entire universe that can convert a unregenerate sinner into a child of God is the Holy Ghost Himself.

Sinner, you are in God's sight guilty. God is just, and He will punish you for your sins. There is only one way you can escape the wrath of God your sins deserve. The only way is this - Christ Jesus must be your Substitute. Either you must die eternally for your sins, or Christ must die for them. Your soul's only refuge is simple faith in Jesus Christ's Finished Work. Christ did really and actually shed His Precious Blood especially for you. If you believe in Jesus Christ, that He died for your sins, that faith will cause you to hate your sins, to love Christ, and to serve Him with gratitude. The way of God in truth, the way of peace, the true grace of God, is found at Calvary. Even if you are wicked, filthy, depraved, degraded, you are still invited to come to Christ. Come to Jesus now, and obtain free Mercy.

The way of salvation - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, He died for sinners, He rose again from the dead. Believe that He is able to save unto the uttermost the sinner that comes unto God by Christ Jesus. Believe the Gospel to be a fact, and then cast your soul upon that promise (fact) and trust to Christ Jesus alone. Cast your guilty soul upon the simple truth that Christ died for sinners, believing it and trusting in it to be your Anchor. Many are too good and too proud to be saved. The Cross is your only hope of escape from the wrath to come. If you die in your natural state without being born again in your soul, you will die in your sins and have to pay for them throughout all Eternity. The work of the Spirit draws and woos sinners to the finished work of Christ for free salvation. Trust your salvation to Him now. Fix all your hope on Him. Jesus is all my Salvation and all my desire. Rest your soul on Jesus' precious blood, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. Trust Christ Jesus for your soul's entire salvation, and put all your hopes and expectations only in His Blood.

Don't be found wanting at the Judgment, bring with you only the Righteousness of Jesus Christ; that is a full weight. Bring with you Christ's full Atonement for human sin. Trust only to His Precious Blood and Divine Righteousness. How shall you escape if you neglect so great salvation? To believe is to trust in Jesus' Blood. The remedy for your sin problem is a simple one, it is just this - the blood of Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh. There is no other way of Salvation to declare unto you. Even though you are covered with sin from head to toe, you are still welcome to come to the Cross and be washed in Jesus' blood now. Lay hold on nothing else. The way of salvation magnifies Jesus Christ, and glorifies Him alone. Cry out to God for His mercy through the Atoning Blood of Christ. The fact is, there is only one way to Heaven, there are not 50 ways. There is one gate into Heaven - and Christ is The Way. *John 14:6* Trusting in Jesus' blood and merits is the one strait gate into Paradise, the narrow path to New Jerusalem is through the Cross of Jesus Christ. He that believeth not in Jesus must surely be damned. Jesus Himself is the only Way to safely approach God when you die.

Biblical Christianity is intolerant - it never allows a second method of salvation. If you refuse to yield and submit to Christ's Righteousness, the Gospel threatens you with the direst penalty. Free-thinking doesn't work with the Gospel. Man cannot think and believe as he likes and go to Heaven. You must believe what God says in Scripture, and not alter one single word, take the Bible as it is, or else deny it, and take the consequences. You must offer God a full satisfaction , and only the Blood will satisfy Him. Divine justice, vengeance, and the Law is appeased at the Cross. God is now just, the punishment for human sin is accomplished by Jesus' bloody death. If you trust in the Lamb of God alone, you are accepted with certainty in the Beloved. Your guilt was laid on Jesus long ago, and now you are safe.

Christ's Blood makes full satisfaction for sin and works death to sinful lusts and withers old habits and evil corruptions; and then humility, godly sorrow, repentance, and love to purity begins. Rest assured - this is the only way of Salvation - Trust Jesus Himself - He that believeth on Him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he believeth not on the Son of God. God saves sinners for HIs own love's sake. There's only one way of salvation for every sinful human soul. The most gracious Gospel of God is free, because Jesus suffered and bled and did for the ungodly. Only the Cross of Christ can satisfy your judgment, conscience, fears, and hopes. God is so terribly just that He will by no means clear the guilty, His divine justice was directed wholly toward Jesus who stood in the sinner's place. Your own conscience tells you that God must punish you, but Christ was punished instead of you, pillow your head on that promise.

There is no resting place for your guilty soul but at the Cross. Hide in the wounds of the Crucified God. Human nature becomes self-reliant early in life, and then self-suicidal later in life. Real faith is not just believing that a rope will hold you up while repelling. No, real faith is when you entrust your life with that rope and go over the side of the cliff trusting only to that rope. Jesus sets the ropes of His promises. You have to have faith in the rope to jump off a 200 foot cliff backwards. I believed the rope would hold me up, I tried and proved the rope. Real faith happens when you entrust your life to the sureness of the rope and dependability of the One who set the ropes. Real faith isn't just believing that Christ can save you, but its entrusting your whole soul (life) into Christ's hands. Will you now take the leap of faith and trust the dependability of the Savior and His promises?

Rest Assured 3

The Holy Spirit must first make you feel your guilt, danger, nakedness, and filthiness. If the Holy Spirit doesn't move in your soul, you are hopeless. human merit, but mercy; not human goodness, but guilt. Sinful men that feel their sins, and mourn over their iniquity will seek the Savior. All the fitness God requires of you is to feel your need of God's Son. You have had unchaste thoughts and committed unclean acts, and rebelled against God. You have loved this world, not the world to come. You have neglected Christ's great salvation from sin. Your heart is hard, your soul is blind, know your great guilt, and discover the sinfulness of sin. Nothing but the Lord's mercies have kept you out of hell up till now.

To believe on Christ is to let Him be for you what you can never be for yourself, that is, an Atonement for your sins by His shed blood; a Righteousness for your covering by His good works. Believe on Him, give yourself up to HIm, be saved according to His will and way. Just be nothing, so Christ may be Everything. The New Birth, imputed Righteousness, and being washed in the Blood is an absolute necessity. Stop indulging in the flesh, and pampering your sins. A sinner can only be saved by simply resting on the merits of Christ. The carnal mind loves human merit. You will never take Christ to be your All, until the Holy Spirit convinces you that you are nothing at all. You must learn to depend on Christ for all things, and on self for nothing. You must understand the rottenness and emptiness of all human merit.

You can only be accepted by God in in the Redeemer's Righteousness and saved by His Blood. It is not your doings, but what Christ has done for you. Jesus must do all for you. You're just too proud to take a free salvation. God's Justice avenged sin upon the Substitute of Calvary. Jesus poured out His blood as a Sacrifice for human sin. Simple faith in Christ alone is the great way of salvation. I believe that Jesus came into the world to save sinners, I have trusted my soul into His hands to save me, It is done, I am saved, my sins are gone, my iniquities are all forgiven - forever, fully, freely.

Human nature loves a hard way of salvation, and because the way of grace and blood is so easy, the carnal mind cannot bear it. Human nature is so proud, that it will not be saved by divine charity. To come to Christ as a bankrupt sinner and trust Him to save us, to have done with saving ourselves, and to let Jesus do it all - oh that is so humbling. O God, by Jesus' agony and blood, by His cross and passion, by His precious death, burial and resurrection, have mercy upon my soul. Not in yourself, but in Jesus is your help found. Look to Jesus, He bled for you, one look to Him will save you. Faith in the living Savior will make you a living soul. The Gospel is obnoxious to human pride and so hateful to your lusts. Self-righteous human nature is constantly trying to invent another plan of salvation.

Faith means to trust in Christ implicitly. Faith is just this - to cast yourself unreservedly on Christ. The Gospel is a simple thing - God has ordered it this way just to take down your pride, and to show you that He is God, and that His Son is the only way, and that besides Jesus Christ, there is none else. A sinner must only believe in the Crucified God for free pardon, and at once the sinners receive salvation in full through God's own blood. Lord God, you have said that Christ died to save sinners, I am a sinner, save me for Jesus' sake - that is Faith. Divine justice had to be satisfied, either the sinner must die or else someone must die for him. God has a debt against you, and He will never remit that debt till it is paid. Christ paid sin's debt, and poor guilty sinner goes free. The only way of salvation is by Blood. Blood, Blood, Blood, and nothing else. Hear the way of salvation - Incarnation, Atonement, Substitution, Redemption, Justification, Faith, Worship.

The way of salvation is is not hard to comprehend, it is not some great mystery, it is simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. *Acts 16:31* Trust Christ with your soul, and He will save it. Grieve over your sins, repent of your iniquities, turn unto the living God, trust to His Son alone, your works cannot help save you. Remember, you are an enemy to God without Christ. Find refuge in the Cross, rely upon the power of the Spirit, depend on Christ's Righteousness. If you trust in your works at all, you're lost as sure as you live. Place all your faith on the man Christ Jesus - on His Godhead, on His manhood, on His Blood and Righteousness, and you are delivered from your sins. Faith alone in Christ's finished work saves the soul. Salvation can never be by human merit, it must be by God's grace and mercy and blood.

Rest Assured 2

The world will believe in anything but a Crucified God. The very core of our confidence is the Blood of God's own Son. A Bleeding Savior is the sinner's only hope. It is to the Cross that the sinner must turn his eyes for relief, redemption and rest. The Crucified Mediator is the true source of peace with God. Behold the Cross of Christ. The Cross int he place of spiritual birth, and the hospital for every sin-sick soul. The blood of Jesus is the true balm of Gilead, the Blood is the only remedy which heals every spiritual disease. Hasten guilty sinner to Calvary.

The Great Physician only meets His patients at the foot of the Cross, and relieves them of all their misery and ills. Really and truly and simply rest in the Precious Blood, and your sin is put away and forgiven forever. The Spirit of God works faith in us. The only remedy for sin is the remedy of a bleeding Substitute. suffering in your place, believed on, and received into the heart. The way of salvation is just this - rest alone upon Christ's bloody Atonement for human sin. Down on the Rock sinner, fall down on the Rock. Stop clinging to your sins and good works, leave off doing, salvation is not working, it is simply trusting and relying on the work which Jesus has already done.

Simple, solid, hearty, childlike, earnest trust in the person of Jesus. Trust - that is the word. Trust Christ alone and it will not take an hour to save you, the moment you trust in Christ's shed blood and sinless work you are saved from sin forever and ever, wholly forgiven of every sin. The Precious Blood of Jesus is my only confidence. The highest morality is to trust Christ. When a sinner trusts his soul with Christ, he has done the best work that can be done. The highest work is to believe on Jesus Christ Himself. Come to Jesus just as you really are, wretched and undone, self-condemned, self-abhorred, come and cast yourself on the mercy of God. To confide simply in Jesus Christ is life eternal. The whole sum and substance of godliness, the only saving faith is to trust Christ and rely on His finished work. Confidence alone in the divine promise of God. Believe that Jesus Christ can save you, confide alone in Him, and He will save your soul. Rely only in the virtue of His blood, for this only will put away your sins and advance you in godliness and honesty and purity.

Never lose your simple trust in the Crucified One, for only by the blood of the Lamb can your overcome your sins. Christ Jesus has promised to save the sinner that trusts Him. I have trusted Him, therefore I am saved, I know I am, I am sure of it, only because God says so in His words, I need no other evidence. He that has never doubted of his state, he may, perhaps be too late. Have confident faith in Jesus at all times. Let your confidence be fixed alone upon what Jesus suffered for sinners upon the Cross of Calvary. Living faith in the living Savior. When your faith turns to God manifest in the flesh and rests in His blood and merits, then you are freely justified. Thee is eternal life in simple confidence in Him, there life nowhere else. Get to your knees, seek the Holy Spirit's guidance and strength, go out with tracts, preach in homes and in the streets.

Childlike confidence in the Crucified Creator. There is life for the unsaved sinner in a look at Jesus crucified. Put all your confidence in the God that pardons sin freely by His own Precious Blood. Trust in Christ's person, repose your trust in Him. Put implicit trust in the Holy Spirit's guidance. By an act of simple and humble faith, take Christ to be your only confidence. You have an urgent need of forgiveness, a great need of saving, a need of divine grace, a deep need of mercy. You have never done good as God measures good, which is moral perfection and absolute holiness. You remain proudly indifferent to God's judgment of yours a sinner, you have set yourself up as being all you should be. You cannot do anything that can please God as long as you distrust Him and reject His Son. Your whole life is so sinful that you require a bleeding an dying God to save you. If you feel your need of a Savior, that is the beginning of the new nature, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, cast yourself simply on Him, trust in nothing but His blood. If you are conscious of your guilt, flee to Christ, look to His cross, find free pardon in His veins, and mercy in His wounds.

Rest Assured 1

Rest assured, until you are empty, Jesus will never fill you; until you are stripped, He will never clothe you; until your self-righteousness is dead, Christ Jesus cannot live within you. There is no hope for you until you turn aside from all your self-confidence and rest in Jesus' Blood Atonement alone. Cease from self, know yourself to be nothing. Look to Calvary for a surer source of strength than yourself. Salvation requires no deep learning, no previous education or preparation, no straining or mental effort. One of the simplest acts of human intellect - to trust Jesus, to lean with your soul upon Him, to make Him all your trust. The Holy Spirit must bring you to rest on Christ alone.

Rest assured of this: Christ died for ungodly; the grace of God is only found in His Precious Blood. Salvation is only presented to humbled, contrite, penitent souls who know and trust the Savior's blood. Serve Him and show the gratitude you owe to Him who has done so much for you. Great sinners need a great Savior. There is no sin, which the blood of Jesus cannot take away. Simple confidence upon the mercy of a good God int he person of His dear Son. You shall never perish in Christ. God with us - Immanuel. Rejoice in Christ Jesus alone, and put no confidence in the flesh. The clock is ticking - time is short - it's time you focused on reality instead of nonsense - get serious about your sins and your soul - Look to Jesus alone for the free forgiveness of your sins. Away with your works, away with your boastings and religious doings, for they are no ground of confidence before a holy God. Trust Christ wholly, reject all confidence of your own, trust Him at this moment.

Give yourself up wholly to Christ Jesus. He that is completely bankrupt is willing to accept the Savior's charity. You have nothing of your own, fall down flat upon the Cross, and take all things freely which are in Christ Jesus. You can never be too confident in the Crucified God, that is, Christ Jesus. Joyous assurance starts at humbly pleading the precious blood that was shed for sinners. Rejoice only in the Substitute. You can't earn your way to Heaven. You think you do your best and then Jesus does the rest. The wrath of God abides on you right now if you think you can help Jesus save your guilty soul. You cannot help earn your way to Heaven, for it has already been earned for you. We have the Gospel, we have the answer, His name is Jesus Christ. The distinguishing mark of a Christian is childlike confidence in the love and blood of Jesus Christ, and the yielding of his affections to Christ who loved him so.

Christ loved me and gave Himself for me. God is looking for a heart of gratitude and love to Jesus in return. We love Him, because He first loved us. God is Love. *Romans 5:8* We are ruled in our inward parts by the bleeding love of the Lamb of God. The love of Christ constraineth us. We believe in Jesus' love, we rejoice in His divine love. Rest upon Christ with childlike, loving confidence. Be always dependent on the Holy Spirit for His strength. Prize Jesus beyond all price. Obey His faintest requests, neglect not His inward leadings. Turn not aside from His words. Real and practical confidence in Jesus. Be patient, not peevish. Be fervent, not lukewarm. Stand at the foot of the Cross and trust to Jesus. The Gospel is very humbling, throw yourself on the mercy of the Judge who died for you.

You can rest assured on this: Faith in God's blood must all your strength and confidence. You can't do it, because Jesus did everything for you. You must humble yourself, and receive His heavenly pardon freely at the foot of the Cross as a needy sinner. Smart aleck, proud, sin-loving people despise the Cross and wind up in Hell where they belong. Hate your sins, love the Savior. Think of God with trembling, tremble at His words, and constantly be alarmed at His presence. Sin burdens your soul; you can't deliver yourself from your sin; without Christ you will bear it forever; only the Savior can take away your sins. Think of Christ now, and as you think, believe in Him, meditate on Him and trust to Him, confidence in Calvary's Lamb is absolutely necessary, never trust in yourself. The Cross is the only means of creating Faith in Jesus, through the power of the Holy Ghost. God works saving faith into us by looking to the Lamb of God. Do not live to sin, do not take pleasure in what cost Jesus His life. Sin is sweet to the atheist.

When a man is washed in the Atoning Blood, he becomes grateful and obedient to Jesus, and he can no longer live to sin. Submit yourself with all your heart to Jesus' gracious way. My soul's delight is to run in His commandments. The Cross leads us from self to Jesus. Nothing will kill 'self' like a sight of the Crucified God. Lift up the Savior and down 'self' must go. High thoughts of Christ are always attended by low thoughts of self. Christ Jesus is the poor man's Riches, the sick man's Medicine, the faint man's Cheer, the weak man's Strength, the ignorant man's Wisdom, and the lost's man Way. Look to the Bleeding Savior, rest alone in Him, if you trust Him, rest assured, you have eternal life.
